Have used RAD Motorsports multiple times for Exhaust and Tires. They are very professional and upfront about their expectations which is a huge plus especially in this industry. Prices are very fair and comparable. Service quality is fantastic and the turnaround time is phenomenal. I can vouch for the services that I have done so far, but plan to use them for more as I see fit. As of current I have done a few custom exhausts from them and tire installs with alignment. The quality of the exhausts were everything I hoped for and they certainly build it to the specs you need it to be and also recommend ways to make it better based on their professional experience. Pricing was more within reason than buying an already built-aftermarket exhaust that can cost you thousands. They make one from scratch built custom just for you for a lot less. Tire service is equally rendered in care and quality. I have called many shops on the island to buy tires and have it installed before asking for RMS's help. Firstly, other shops would tell me they either couldn't get the tires for me since they are odd sized, or if they could, ended up quoting me unrealistic prices. Secondly, even if they could get it, the tire was odd sized that they could not install. Mind you, I have a stock car that requires these sizes, they aren't aftermarket or anything, I just wanted a direct stock replacement. With that said, RAD Motorsports was upfront with me about the situation and recommended me a place to get the tires, which I promptly did, and it has saved me literally at least a thousand dollars, and in a couple days had the install completed here without any issues. My car had to get towed from my residence to their shop and the owner recommended me a towing company to get the job done. The company that was referred to me for towing was just as awesome. To me it says that they value having a network of great wonderful people to work with, which also shows in how they operate their business. Being a customer of theirs for at least a decade now is a great example of why a vigilant consumer such as myself returns for their remarkable craftsmanship and the honest character of the business. I am critical of where I take my cars as there's an unfortunate stigma that looms around in the automotive repair industry, RAD Motorsports is one that I can certainly trust for their work, their attitude towards customers, and their honest prices. They are caring people and an amazing local business I enjoy being supportive of. Personally, I highly recommend RAD Motorsports for these services, and in general other auto-related customizations or repairs as they are a one-stop shop for most jobs. Came here yesterday to get an exhaust put on my 2011 GMC Terrain. Was pretty straight forward, I called them about a week ago and eventually got to talking to Rod the owner, they don't usually get 4 cylinder Terrains so we had to talk through what I wanted done, but what it came down to was the end game of getting a louder exhaust put on that had a nicer sound. When I came to get the work done we ended up going with a glass pack and the work took about an hour, a little less actually. I liked what I got, and the service was good, I have nothing to compare it to in terms of business, but I'm overall a satisfied customer so no complaints. read more

Called around to get a cheap quote and lock in an earlier time to get my alignment done "properly" having my lift installed a couple days prior (shop had no alignment stand). They had a time slot open that fit my schedule and I arrived early for my scheduled time. Appeared they were slow, put my truck on the stand and got to working on it right away. In about 45 minutes they were done. I paid $100 for the work for a 6" lifted truck. While waiting I requested they realign my steering wheel as well. Suffice to say, I guess I got what I paid for. Truck feels more misaligned than the eyeball alignment done by the shop that lifted the truck. They fixed the steering wheel. Instead of it being a tilt more to the right, it now tilts slightly to the left. I will re-schedule with the shop I normally go to do another alignment. Since I upgraded to larger tires, I may as well get it done right with a shop I trust. 3 stars for getting the job done, 1 deducted for not correcting my steering wheel misalignment, and 1 deducted for suspect alignment job. read more

So a few months back I went into get my springs installed and alignment done. I found that the alignment could be closer to specifications with adjustments to some areas they were unaware of and after pointing it out they got it much closer to specs. I would give them 4 stars for that work. If you are planning to do exhaust work, let me give you 2 red flags I became aware of. First is I inquired about having my down pipes installed. After mentioning the vehicle type they told me this horror story about how they had done a vehicle like mine and the DPs cracked twice. I told them what brand mine were and they said that was the same one so they are not doing these installs anymore. I went ahead and emailed the CEO of the company and informed him of what I was told. He got back to me and informed me they have never had one downpipes from my platform ever crack after selling thousands. Matter fact he told me they have only had one crack in all the years in business and it was due to installer incompetence. I wasn't going to believe him and I did my own due diligence. I found this to be true. It was another brand. SPL that was cracking. Matter of fact there were tons of occurrences of it. Turns out this was the brand they installed. Having this reassurance I went ahead and installed mine myself and 2 months now with zero problems. Second red flag was when I inquired about putting headers on my mustang. The exhaust guy went into how they don't do those cause you have to support the engine from the oil pan which is plastic and they don't want to risk that. After that I knew I would never go there again for exhaust work. Any experienced exhaust guy knows you support the trans bell housing when doing this to lift the engine. Not the oil pan. Suspension work. Ok. Exhaust work. At your own risk. read more

I recently bought a truck and noticed my 2 front tires was kinda cambered in. So after calling around to see which store would do an alignment for a dropped truck. Finally someone who would do it with no questions asked. It was Radmotorsport! While talking to them the whole time on the phone the person told me yes we can do alignments for dropped trucks. He also told me to come on down we can take a look at it to see if there needs to be repairs first for free before doing the alignment. Upon arrival without saying anything he knew right away I was the guy that was on the phone. He immediately took the truck in and inspected it. Kinda was bummed because he did find flaws and couldn't do the alignment but hey at least he caught the problem. He gave me a quote for the parts and labor and the technician was even cool enough to show me why I needed to change the parts. The technician wasn't even pushy where he just said "it's up to you if you want us to do it but whenever you ready to do the alignment you can always bring it back here." This was my first time here and I'm pretty impressed. My son needed me to bring his tires and rims to have them mounted and balanced and when he said this place was in Waipahu I was a bit irritated. I already know that particular area of Waipahu is congested and some businesses are tucked behind others making it difficult to find and finding parking impossible. But that wasn't the case with Rad Motorsport. I called for directions while near the fire station and they answered promptly and gave easy to follow directions. The entrance to their business is clear and uncluttered, and signage is visible from the street. Ample parking and good sized stalls, all marked for each business. The customer entrance was easy to find and my personal favorite was the two fish tanks just outside the showroom. One fish looked big enough to be eaten, while the other appeared to eye me up while I walked past it twice. The showroom is clean and well stocked with shelves of rims and a wall lined with exhausts. There's lots of seating as well as a front desk manned by several people--a huge plus because getting help was quick! The guys came out to my truck to offload the tires and rims and in one hour they were loading them back up in my truck, mounted and balanced. RadMotorSports took care of me about 7 years ago with installing a muffler. I went back to them because I noticed a sound from the rear of my car anytime I was idling, I thought it was the muffler. They took care in bringing it on the lift, inspecting for any leaks, and couldn't find anything. Nate, suggested we check the trunk and sure enough, where my spare tire was, the tools to lift my car were loose! Along with other items metallic tools I had lingering there. I just want to thank them for taking the time in inspecting that out for me. I was expecting to pay an inspection/labor fee but they didn't charge me at all.
