Service was fairly quick. Was with large party, so had a reservation. Restaurant is BYOB, but wine holders are provided. Menu is fairly small, heavily seafood and not many options for dietary restrictions and such. Was not a fan of the music, which was all AI covers of pop songs. That's a huge affront IMO. House Salad 3/5 mostly a bed of spinach doused in the raspberry vinaigrette and very sweet nuts. We really enjoyed eating here the decor was nice and the food was wonderful. We wanted to try a couple dishes. I came here with my sister and cousin. They got the salmon with Thai sauce and I got the peppered crab cake and shrimp. Both dishes were delicious. Even though the crab cake had a little more breading than I like it was seasoned nicely and had a great flavor. The sauce was yummy and not peppered too much. Our server was Jersey. She did a great job, was efficient and friendly. We will definitely go back here . read more

A friend recommended this restaurant to me when I told her we were coming to Cape May for my birthday this year. We decided to have dinner here on a Monday evening in mid October. We were thrilled we made that decision! There is a hostess station right inside the door. She was friendly and took us to a table in the back of the room we were in (there is another separate room in the back). We did not have a reservation. Our waitress Cat was wonderful!! Personable and professional, answering every question we had about the menu and restaurant! We started with the fried oysters and a harvest salad (I think that was the name of it). I'm so happy that we ate at Tisha's. I had really good memories of eating here at least 10 years prior, and I'm glad to report that nothing has changed. Food is still incredible. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Cape May for good reason! Apps are where it's at! We shared the scallop risotto, calamari and rice balls and everything was standout. Portions are generous for apps as well! Service was also great. Don't forget to bring a bottle and make a reservation. Without one, you likely won't get a table on a weekend. This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Such a gem located in the middle of the main strip on Washington Street. We were lucky to be able to get a reservation during our yearly trip to Wildwood and really enjoyed everything Tisha's had to offer. Food was incredible- my husband still can't stop talking about the sambucca cream sauce on his dish. The service was also great and really good with the two one year olds we had in our party. This place was amazing and earned it's well known reputation for fine dining. First of all, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The place was completely packed and I saw two parties get turned away simply because the restaurant was completely booked already. However, I overheard the conversation and I have to give kudos to the restaurant staff for having great recommendations for those parties to get a good meal. From what I heard, they really knew the area pretty well and I backed their recommendations too. We arrived with our reservation and were seated almost immediately. We had a little trouble deciding what to get. Luckily our server Kat walked us through the menu and had good ideas on what we wanted. We ultimately decided on: mushroom risotto and grilled polenta for appetizers. Seafood Pescadore and Seafood Risotto for entrees. For dessert, we got the flourless chocolate cake and bread budding. The grilled polenta had a great smoky flavor that paired well with the rabe. The mushroom risotto was really thick, creamy, and every bite was oozing with a savory flavor. The Seafood Risotto was also very similar and was filled to the brim with clam, mussels, scallop, and shrimp. The seafood Pescadore was equally chock full of seafood and sat on a bed of Linguini. It came with a choice of marinara sauce or white wine sauce. The mussels that came with that dish might be the very best mussels I've ever had. It was cooked tender but not chewey, and was seasoned with incredible flavor. The bread pudding had a caramel sauce with vanilla ice cream. The flourless chocolate cake was equally as good too with a gooey strong chocolate. As you can probably tell, I am raving about every single part of our meal. I don't believe we chewed on a single morsel of food that was bland or unseasoned. There was an incredible attention to detail on every ingredient on every single dish. This is definitely the place to go for a special occasion. The food and service have completely exceeded all of my expectations. So make that reservation, dress up nice, and show up. First time diners here, we had a very enjoyable dinner! Ambiance in the front dining room is elegant and very comfy. Noise level is great for conversation. Our service was perfect throughout the meal. Not a huge menu here but there were several additional specials added to the mix. We started with the fried oysters (excellent) and the pumpkin stuffed gnocchi (declared by my wife to be the best app she ever had). For mains, we went with: the pork Milanese (huge and very tasty) and the shrimp and crabcake dinner (great crabcake). Not only is the atmosphere, service and food quality delightful but with all the competition of places to fine dine, it's nice to find one you grow to depend on. BYOB is option! We haven't had a bad meal ever. My wife longs for the Halibut dish perched atop of mashed potatoes and green beans smothered in some creamy gravy-of-a-sauce-goodness is simply different in a subtle brilliant way. I had a Chioppino style dish which was a special that night. I ate all of my dinner only to leave freckles of marinara broth as traces of my experience. The food was stupendous as always. We started with the house salad which had walnuts, cranberry and goat cheese. The portion was large and we shared it. The appetizer of scallops and sautéed spinach was on point. The scallops were sweet tender and Lucious. My meal was seafood with a garlic sauce, scallops, mussels, and shrimp over linguine. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was silky and smooth with the perfect amount of garlic. Our server Diana, with 16 years of experience was always there to make sure we were satisfied and her suggestions were welcomed and appreciated. Key lime pie finished off the meal nicely but the cappuccinos were cold and had to be sent back. Service for the most part was good and friendly. Although the servers all wear these "purses" that hold service related items. Always felt like it was her regular purse and that she was on her way home! Would go back for sure. We had a delicious dinner at Tisha's. We arrived for our reservation and front dining room was packed, so opted for the smaller, quieter back room! Tisha's is a BYOB, so don't forget to bring a bottle! We started with clam chowder, burrata over arugula, and beets/gorgonzola over mixed greens. All were very good and fresh! For dinner, my boyfriend just really wanted plain crab cakes, so ordered 2 of the appetizer portions. The 2 arrived on plates as individual servings. Would have been easy and looked better to just put 2 on the one plate. Mom and I split the Thai salmon with shrimp over potatoes and green beans. A very nice sized portion, I'm so glad that we shared! We didn't even look at dessert bc we had to meet family. Overall, a great meal with good service. TLDR: rather overpriced for what was delivered We came for dinner and getting a recommendation from our B&B host. We got same day reservations with an 830 seating. We arrived very early and still got seated right away, at 810. This good because service was very slow. We ordered the seafood risotto and crabcake with shrimp. It took over 45 minutes to be served and it really wasn't worth the wait or price. The seafood risotto had a wonderful briny taste and the mushroom was amazing. However, the rice was a bit undercooked and the clams and shrimp were overcooked. The crab cake came with mashed potatoes and the green beans that I subbed in for spinach. Veggies were good, but plain. The crabcake was good but my shrimp were overcooked as well. Service wasn't bad, but I finished my water about 1/2 way through the meal and the server never bothered to check in to see if I wanted more. We expected higher prices for the vacation location tax, but we also expected higher quality preparation and service. read more

And it will be the highlight of our dinners in Cape May. And that's besides the fact that it's located right in the center of the shopping area which makes it even more fun! This is a must go to spot . The food is to dream for. I had the halibut with crab meat, and it literally put me in heaven. Delicious and a good portion too. The filet mignon is nothing short of wonderful! For an appetizer we got Cajun shrimp and rice. This is a must order! Couldn't think of a better way to start off the meal. This restaurant is adorable inside! It's so much fun to eat here and they have a great selection of all kinds of food. Something for everyone. Of course, it's just great to be walking in the downtown shopping area and just step into this restaurant without having to go blocks away, or even a mile away to find a good restaurant. as you can imagine getting a reservation is very difficult so you need to do it well in advance of your trip. We return to Tisha's every summer because the food is consistently very good. The risotto is especially outstanding. The servers are young, but clearly well trained. Two issues - the front room is freezing cold and the background music is horrible. We look forward to eating here every year, but tonight was less than enjoyable. We had to wait 15 minutes for our reservation, and the hostess failed to acknowledge the delay. Our appetizers (lobster bisque, clam chowder and scallops risotto) were amazing. Then we waited for an hour and half for our pan seared halibut. An hour and a half!! It arrived, and while fine, it was overcooked and under seasoned. We turned down the offer a free dessert, and were instead given one of our soups removed from our bill. The hostess made our waitress, who was awesome, address all of this and hid as we left. I can't describe how disappointed we are with the kitchen and the hostess. An annual highlight dining experience became an ok meal with weak leadership, only saved by Isabella's professional experience as a waitress. Disappointing. Do better. read more

After we left Tisha's, I told my husband that my meal here was one of the best meals I've had at a restaurant in a long time. After thinking it over last night, I realized it was one of the best meals I've had dining out EVER. We were with our dog, and they were gracious enough to accommodate us on the back dining area where we felt comfortable with him. They even provided us a doggie water bowl for him! We ordered the arancini appetizer - risotto and mozzarella - and it was outstanding. I noticed about five other people ordering it, as well. The marinara sauce was so good I ordered extra bread to mop it up with. Second course, lobster bisque. Yowza! Creamy, gorgeous soup with giant chunks of lobster. I could eat this every day and not get enough. My entree was the short rib bolognese. The pasta was done to absolute perfection and the shredded short ribs and sauce were unbelievable. The portion size was huge, but I managed to finish it all! I'm not one to order dessert usually, but I ordered the flourless chocolate cake, and again, it was beyond my expectation. Dense but velvety and perfect with the scoop of vanilla ice cream it came with! What a beautiful way to top off an amazing dinner. To top it off, we had the most AMAZING service from Sandy. We chose Tisha's for a very special occasion. As we arrived for our reservation,we where escorted to the backroom. It was nearly empty,but our party was seated by the backdoor. The door opened and closed constantly,waiters and patrons going in and out to the patio. We asked to sit somewhere other than there,this when things started to go downhill.We got bad vibes from all the staff,including the front desk person. It was noticable that all the waiters and bus boy glanced at us repeatedly. They where very put out by this polite and reasonable request. The food:Extremely dark,fried oysters arrived,this item was difficult to eat,extremely crispy oysters sat on a few sad leaves of greenery surrounded by a creamy sauce. Without the sauce the oysters ate like sawdust. This should have been an indication of the terrible cooking happening that evening. The seafood risotto was not risotto and plated in a very unappetizing manner. A pile of seasoned,overcooked rice,was spread underneath shrimp and other seafood.The seafood was plentiful albeit overcooked and rubbery. The special,halibut,was plated in a haphazard,cafeteria style manner. A puddle of rice,next to sauteed spinach,next to a large serving of fish sitting on a lake of something white. Sadly the fish was mushy and unappetizing,the sauce uninspired white goo. This whole meal was not in the least enjoyable.The whole experience felt more like punishment than a special evening. This meal couldn't have been cooked by a chef,it was that aweful. The table next to us also had halibut,theirs was plated in a rather delicate nice way. The message to us was,by asking to sit somewhere else,we made them mad.Thus the inferior food,bad attitude and lackluster plating.It made me think of the saying,if you complain about the food they will spit in it.We complained and got rewarded with the worst meal in many years. Amazing that this supposed fine dining restaurant would put out this kind of bad,extremely overcooked food or shall we say slop. As for the service:Jersey,as all the other waiters we ever had there,was going by the book,doing everything that you expect from a waiter,in a souless,robotic manner. It is the kind of uninspired service you get at a large event,where the waiters are instructed to bring food,but don't interact with the patron much. This has always been infuriating in this establishment. Last night we asked for salt,so she brought salt,but not pepper.That in itself was interesting and a first. We have eaten at Tisha's many times before.What used to be a nice restaurant,a go to,will forever be stricken from our list restaurants to visit while in Cape May. Interestingly enough,Tisha's is not in the list of recommended restaurants that our B&B hands out.Upon arrival we perused said list and commented on it.
