Even absent this gesture, his attitude and manner made our evening - the excellence of the entrees was a cherry on top. One note and not the fault of the restaurant at all - a number of families with small children were dining at other tables. This is not an especially well-suited restaurant for families with under-5 kids. Their collective noise and behavior was more akin to, well, a Chuck-E-Cheese or MacDonalds. There was nothing anyone could do, of course.

As someone who appreciates good wine & food, Sea Salt restuarant is as good as it gets! I dined at Sea Salt for the first time last week, and was totally amazed by the quality of food, drink, and service offered at this restaurant. At the door, my Mommom and I were promtly greeted by two smiling hosts and escorted to a seat with a lovely view of the ocean. We sat there for a few moments and enjoyed the delightfully springy and jazzy musical stylings of the Geno White Trio--a band that apparently plays at the restaruant every Thursday. Shortly thereafter, we were greeted by our knowledgeable server, Matt, who was only too willing to guide us in our menu/drink selections. Matt's knowledgeable and honest appraisal of the menu items enabled us to build the most delicious and satisfying meals possible. To start, I had a glass of white wine from SeaSalt's extensive drink & cocktail menu. Mommom and I split lobster ravioli as our app (it was delicious! The sauteed veggies in which the ravioli were nested were amaaazee!) and we ordered tuna and ribeye as our main course. Sea Salt's take on tuna--grilled and topped with spicy penang curry--hit the spot. I am a huge curry enthusiast, and Chef Lou's rendition of this dish did not dissappoint! The curry was creamy & velvety at first bite with a deep, rich spice that developed throughout the meal and resonated long after my tuna was finished. Mommom was pleased with her ribeye as well; she finished the entire **large** steak! Our culinary journey came to an end with banana springrolls and mocha cheesecake---both of which were delightful. I feel that I would be remiss, however, by neglecting to gush about the impeccable service delivered by staff and management at Sea Salt. In all my years of dining out, I've never experienced such attentive and comprehensive care; our water glasses never went past half-full, and thanks to our ever-diligent busser, not a single errant crumb could be found on the table at any point in time. What's more, the sweet and friendly manager (I think her name was Amy) visited our table several times to make sure we were doing OK and Mommom and I even got to meet the chef! In the end, my experience at Sea Salt was so much more than just a good meal; Sea Salt's chic atmosphere, great food and exceptional staff made my night out with Mommom one to remember! read more

After years of eating at restaurants in Cape May County, NJ, I have found that many have recycled menus. What I mean is that the same entree's appear consistently on different restaurants menu's. Those entrée's all taste the same no matter where you eat. Sea Salt is the exception to what appears to be the rule. This upscale, elegant restaurant has unique and enticing menu. We began with Smoked trout wrapped in crisp lettuce. It was a wonderful blend of flavors that was perfectly accented with Roe. (I usually do not like roe or smoked trout but it was delicious) The corn and crab soup was one of the best I've ever tasted. I understand it is not made with cream and that corn forms the base. It is freshly sweet -like summer corn and has a generous portion of lump crab. My main entree was ginger scallion prawns with coriander rice. The prawns were tender with a light lime and ginger flavor. The rice was tasty. The presentation was artistic yet simple. The portion size was good. I pleasantly was satisfied. The lemon sponge cake is served with fresh berries, homemade whipped cream and blueberry sherbet. It is a light and refreshing finish to a delicious meal. The service was fantastic. Staff was always available but never bothersome. We dined on the patio enjoying the beautiful ocean view. I really look forward to eating at Sea Salt again. Great for a celebration. read more
