This is my Go-to place for authentic Filipino food! Nostalgic and just... takes me back all the employees are really really nice except for this one old lady yelling at people in the morning. I don't know if she's the boss but you don't treat your employees like that in front of customers. Such a turn off. But either way, I love it everytime I eat here!

The food here is good specially lunchtime there's a big menu and I like their Kare kare. Customer Service is friendly and prices are good. The Parking Lot is small but enough good for sit down or takeout. Ambiance is fast food sit down kind of spot

I've been coming here since I was in high school in the 90s...back when they were located down the street. However, I've never met "Tita Celia." I started coming here years ago because they were the only ones at the time that had Filipino breakfast early in the morning. The prices have always been pretty fair too. When my mom was alive, this was her favorite place. We came here so much that when I stopped taking her and came back suddenly one day, the employees asked me where I've been and where's my mom. Yes, a few of the employees have been there at least 10 years! But on to the review... They always have a lot of entrees to choose from. My favorites are: mechado, lechon kawali, fried fish and bbq. For desserts, I like the turonC Carioca and the buchi. I like all the breakfast entrees. This is a solid Filipino turo-turo location. For you non filipinos, turo turo is point point...which basically means you point at which entree you want. Call it the Filipino Panda Express if you will. So yeah I come back whenever I'm in a Filipino food craving mood and I don't wanna cook. See you soon!

First time gettin their embutido. It's a Filipino dish resembling meatloaf but made with ground pork and other spices. Looks like a log and you just slice it. On an early-ish Sunday morning before the holiday, they have them wrapped in foil in the fridge uncooked. I pulled the smaller size one and asked how much it was. It was actually the same price of the larger one so of course I got the larger one. They offered to slice into big pieces and fry it for me so I obliged and thought that's pretty convenient than having to bake it at hone. After they fry it they give it to you in an open white box as it's quite hot. Later on in the day at home, I opted to slice it further and give it just a few minutes of more love in the air fryer. The ladies at the counter are always very nice to me. The cashier mentioned that after 11am is when they are crazy busy with customers during the actual holidays, Christmas Eve, NY, etc. I told her that I had been there on the Eve but at 7:30am and they said that's smart to avoid the mad holiday rush. Anyway, back to the embutido it is soooo very delicious! Not cheap either but nice to have occasionally. This is one of my hubby's favorite Filipino dishes. Updating my review to 4 stars!

Yesterday I bought an lechon, dinuguan, and pancit for our dinner. The service is great, the business is well managed in spite of it being an older building. I highly recommend this business for all your Phil Filipino food needs. They also offer halo halo and other desserts too.

October is Filipino American History month which makes it the perfect month to enjoy some delicious Filipino food. Delicious is indeed the perfect word to describe Titanic Celia's Filipino breakfast. For only $13, their Filipino breakfast comes with two scoops of garlic rice, two eggs, a slice of fresh tomato and your choice of Filipino breakfast entree. Among some of the entree choices are tapa (beef), pork or chicken tocino (sweet meat), longanisa (sweet pork sausage), daing (fried fish) and corned beef. They make each of the breakfast dishes upon order and so there can be a wait depending on the time you come. I went on a Sunday at 8:30am and this place was packed with folks ordering breakfast. Breakfast is available all day though, so you can always come later too. I chose to get the tapa and was really impressed how lean the meat was. It was also very tender. I loved pairing it with the garlic rice and egg. It really was delicious or should I say "masarap!" (Masarap is delicious in Tagalog). I know I'll be back again for Filipino breakfast. I want to try their chicken tocino next. For a hearty, yummy Filipino breakfast- Tita Celia's truly delivers!

Authentic Filipino Comfort Food Done Right! I recently visited Tita Celia's in Carson, California, and it was such a wonderful experience. As soon as I walked in, the place felt tidy, clean, and comforting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even better. I've tried their food a couple of years ago, but dining in really brings out the authenticity -- and I honestly forgot just how amazing their Filipino comfort food can be. I ordered several dishes, and everything was outstanding. My absolute favorite was the dinuguan -- perfectly balanced with rich flavor and just the right amount of meat and gravy. So good!! The Mechado was also delicious; the meat was so tender, and the vegetables in the stew were cooked to perfection. The chicken sisig surprised me in the best way -- healthy, flavorful and satisfying, tasting just as rich as their pork sisig. I also had to get the pinakbet since I love vegetables, and it was cooked just right -- flavorful and not mushy at all. The kare-kare was amazing as well, especially with the little container of bagoong they provide, paired with white rice -- absolutely yummy. We also tried the fried chicken skin and bulaklak, which did not disappoint. They were super crispy and bursting with flavor, especially dipped in the vinegar they provided. They also gave us a little complimentary cup of soup! To finish everything off, I had their cantaloupe melon drink, which was refreshing and not overly sweet -- the perfect way to wash everything down. And did you know it helps with hangovers? Overall, this was one of the best Filipino meals I've had in a long time. I was so hungry and everything tasted so amazing that I was only able to take 1 picture. I'll definitely be coming back though, whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommend!!

Got my 2 favorite dishes - pancit and lumpia. The pancit had a well balance of carrots, celery, chicken and tiny shrimp. The lumpia was crispy but I like mine with more garlic flavor. Definitely use the dipping sauce. Service was friendly and prompt.

It was hot today so I decided on going to Tita Celia's. Went and picked up 2 of the best halo-halo instead of 1. Gina, one of the nicest team member at Tita Celia's hooked it up this time (see picture attached). Also got ginatan bilo-bilo, ginatan salmon and small lumpias. They are all good! Tita Celia is right.... They serve Filipino comfort food! Thank you Tita Celia and crew your halo-halo is truly the best!

My sister loves coming here for their mechado, which is one of their specialties so we stopped in. It's turo turo, but they serve breakfast all day and they make that to order. We got mechado, adobo, pinakbet, sweet and sour fish, kare kare, and lumpia to share. The mechado was delicious! Really flavorful and the tastiest out of all the dishes we got. I did like the adobo but it lacked flavor without the sauce. Everything else was just okay. Could be better. For the price, you get quite a lot of rice. I wish they gave bigger scoops of meat though. Overall, it's not a bad option. I'd probably come back to try the silog. Parking is easy. Tons of spots but it was an hour until close and they weren't busy.

Great food and friendly staff EXCEPT there's a woman who works there on Friday nights who is so rude with a very bad attitude that we actually AVOID going there on Friday nights. Lady, if you don't like serving customers, then don't work in a restaurant! 2 stars removed from the rating because of this rude employee who hates helping the customers. Another star is removed for nickel and dime-ing the customers. You want a separate container for your food? +25 cents. You want an extra plate? +25 cents. Extra fork and spoon? +25 cents. Use a credit card? +50 cents. It just goes on and on. Seriously! Otherwise, the food is great. Just avoid going there on Friday nights because of the rude server. The weekend morning ladies are the best! read more

We like coming here. They have a great selection of food and nothing's stale. Everything is fresh from the kitchen. It's a little pricey, but we don't mind it since we don't come here daily. Definitely my go to place for Filipino food. read more

Went in for lunch and we do not regret it at all! Got a pound of lechon kawali, kare kare, pancit, chicken BBQ stick, adobo na pusit, and a couple of other things. Everything we ordered was really good! The thing that stood out the most was their customer service. We mentioned that I was craving tripe due to pregnancy and the man added a lot of it onto my bowl. Also mentioned that my husband just came home from deployment and he gave us Karokas (sp?) for free. They were very kind and we intend on coming back whenever we are in town! read more

This use to be one of my favorite places to have Filipino food but after what I saw on the floor underneath my table... Yuck. I can get over the B restaurant rating but the cockroach I cannot. No matter how good the food is, but if the service is bad, it makes it all bad. I called last Friday and ordered a medium tray of pan fry chicken for a party the next day. Lily took my information (name and phone number) down. She asked for a credit card to secure the order. Unfortunately, my purse was in another room so I told Lily I'll call back ASAP, which I did. I called right away and asked for her specifically. She put me on hold for 10 mins, after which I decided to hang up. I called the next morning to make sure that they'd prepare my order for a 4:30 pick-up, and provide my credit card info if needed. The person on the other line (I believed it was still Lily) asked me for my name and what I ordered. After giving her the info, she then assured me that the order will be ready by 4:30. Never asked for a credit card, so I was thinking at that point that everthing is fine. I went around 4:20 pm and asked for my order. To my dismay, they didn't have my order and no record of it was found. Their customer service is so POOR and no one could really explain what happened. I am not placing any orders from this place ever again!!! To the management of Tita Celia's, please remember that poor customer service will drive away regular customers and potential customers. Food service should go hand in hand with customer service. read more

Thank you Tita Celia's for granting me my filipino food fix. I'd been craving filipino food for a while now so after a day of helping my friend move apartments and being absolutely tired and starving, we swung by Tita Celia's for a late lunch. While I truly believe no one can beat my mom's home cooking, the food here still totally hit the spot. The laing was yummy as well as the pancit and sinigang. And of course I had to get some halo-halo! Anyway, nice 'turo-turo' type filipino place, friendly staff, and very inexpensive. I'd come back. read more

If you're craving for a Filipino breakfast, look elsewhere. It took them 20mins just to prepare saying there were a lot of orders before me?! I was the 2nd one in the store and the 1st ones already had their order before me. A lot of people came after me and they were the ones being served first. Anyway, after complaining they rushed my order. The food was so-so. Should have gone to Jollibee where the garlic rice was better plus they sell it cheaper. Almost $8 for a breakfast here, not worth it. read more

I wanted to try traditional Filipino food / dessert and this is the place to go. I came here with my Filipino friends and they claimed is close to authentic without being in the Philippines. Couple of fave : kare kare, beef stew, lechon aka crispy pig, lumpia, adobe chicken or pork, flan, BBQ and many more. Also price is unbeatable. I couldn't finished some of my food and took it home, guess what it tastes even better the next few days. I was so infatuated with their food, I went to online and started searching step-by-step recipe so I can learn how to make it. Other than my parents and grandma's cooking, this is probably the best pinoy food you can get outside of P.I. Also a big plus, that they have plenty of chicken, fish/seafood and veggie options since I don't eat beef/pork. Lastly, they have a bunch of desserts usually in stock even when I get there late in the evenings. Tita Celia's is a hidden treasure and the people that work that are super friendly.. siempre naman! read more

Was surprisingly disappointed today. Craving filipino food , I trek to Tita Celias of all other places available to eat my fave filipino dishes. My normal, adobo, squid guisado, even dinaguan. Must have changed cooks or going cheap with the ingredients and or spices. None tasted as they have in the past ump-teen times ive come to enjoy. Must remember, a restaurant exists because if its flavor and attention and consistency to that the flavor! Time to hunt for a new place, so sad!!!! read more

I was told to try the sinigang, while my usual fave is pinakbet. The sinigang came through with a generous amount of pork and a perfectly balanced sourness. The pinakbet was loaded with veggies and kabocha squash, and I really appreciated that nothing was overcooked. Pro tip: go earlier in the day for peak freshness. But the true star? The turon. Hands down the best I've had in this style. It even beats Pampanga's Bakery in Artesia -- Ethan's version actually has filling, while Pampanga's leans way heavier on the wrapper. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I sort of stopped going here a few months ago after they discontinued their Saturday special of buy one pound of poke, get one pound free. That deal definitely made it more worthwhile. Without that promo, the other local poke places outshine this place.

The place was not very busy so it was quick. We decided to sit in the restaurant with our ordered food since we were the only ones there. I ordered a main that was running low and the employee told me that they had to cook it and I had to wait which was fine with me. The man ended up not giving me much of the new cooked pieces but mostly of the leftovers and added a couple of pieces of the fresh ones, which was fine but with the wait made it disappointing since I could have just gotten some of the old pieces from the beginning and started eating it. Decent place - I would recommend their "scoop and go" service area for fast service and more reasonable pricing. *I heard they have karaoke in the late afternoon, which may change the vibe and atmosphere of this place so we may need to check that out! 3.2/5

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

Don't know why this place got 4 stars and 90 reviews (most listed in Yelp for Filipino restaurants in Carson/Long Beach area.). I don't understand why Manilas Lechon got 3.5 stars and this place got 4 stars. Manila's Lechon has better quality food hands down. The only reason I could think of is the majority of the reviews here are friends and family. Today we tried a variety of foods: Pork Sinigang Dinuguan Pancit Kare kare Fried chicken skin Bbq pork Bbq chicken All above dishes were below average in taste. The only one that did stand out was the bbq pork (actually good). Sinigang and dinuguan were too sour. Pancit was bland. Kare kare lacked the peanut sauce intensity I was looking for. Fried chicken skin was crispy but could taste slight burnt oil. Bbq chicken was on the tough side although taste was decent. As some reviewers mentioned, customer service here is lacking and slow even though they thought the food was descent. When I asked for Lechon Kawali, the server laughed at what was left over and said all was left was skin. Didn't bother to offer to cook more. And when I asked about Crispy Pata, I was told they don't have any. Went home and just checked Yelp pictures. I see pics and catering menu showing Crispy Pata. Again, no offers were made to make a sale. There seems to be a lack of coordination with the 4 ladies serving the food and pay line which contributed to the slow and below average service. When I go to Manila's lechon for crispy pata or bbq, they'll even offer to heat it up in the fryer or grill. It's possible that Manila's Lechon prices are higher but you get what you pay for. We definitely won't be coming back here again. read more

Unfortunately, every single time I come and eat at this place I hear SCREAMS from the back, SCREAMS left and right with no HESITATION to disrespect other customers and workers, I know she is the owner as no Manager will have the guts to do that. You have a company and 4 stars on yelp yet you seem so uneducated, Cant complain bout their food in all actuality I LOVE their sweet and sour FISH but man I tell you, even if I like their S&S Fish Id rather buy from other filipino restaurants where I can see and hear peace and have respect for others. Main concern is the Mental abuse for the workers (they already get physically abused as it is) and customers, why would you want to come and eat in a place like this. I love this place! I was visiting some friend in CA when I accidentally met my pal. My Pilipino friend brought me here, said that I should try their food so we did. He ordered dinuguan, pork sisig, and a lot more which were really kind of confusing for me. At first he let me try the dinuguan, (I can barely even say that, so he laughs at me), I asked him what is it called in English and he said that it is pork and stuff so I tried it. At first, I didn't like the taste but when I tried it again I liked it. After we ate he said that it was pig's blood and I was like 'REALLY?' We both tried sisig and it was really great! The service was great, and the food was served fresh and hot. We ordered some dessert after that and I even liked it more. I was planning to take my girlfriend here sometimes. We come here everyday as it is close to my mom's care home! They nickel and dime you charging you for using credit cards which I have accepted at this point. I always ask for 2 paper plates so I can feed my mom and her room mate. Today they decided they would charge me extra for a plate! And everyone there knows my brother and I stop by to get food everyday for our mother in a nursing home! It's not even the money at this point! Hidden Gem! My sister and I planned to meet here for lunch and boy was I surprised! They had about a dozen dishes hot and piping and ready for the lunch time rush's consumption! All dishes I chose were delicious, I was able to sample the items my sister picked and they were also good as well. I ordered a fried banana for dessert with was a great end to my meal.
