    Veggie Veggie Spring Rolls (8)
    Daisy T.

I ordered my food to go. Customer service was great from the little I got to interact with them. I am vegan so I made sure to ask about vegan choices and they had a couple options available. Which was amazing. I ordered the veggie rolls, sautéed string beans and chow main with tofu and ordered it spicy. Everything was delicious. Would definitely return here again. The food was still hot by the time I got home.

Finally had the chance to come here vs. doing a take-out. I was expecting the place would be full, but I was the one there. There were a lot of take-out orders though. I got the pork steamed buns and spicy kung pao with chicken. Very good. The "ambiance" is dark with some disorganization at the front. Service was okay. Not real friendly but not distance, either.

Hand pulled noodle combo. Absolutely delicious

Springfield OR. Wishing I took pictures of the menu. Funky hours because they are closed slow parts of the afternoon. Food was delicious. I want to try a lot of what I saw on the menu. Solid 4.

Braised beef noodles and pork intestine dry pot

I am native Chinese (born and raised in Sichuan/ChongQing) and I would say they are the most authentic Chinese food in the entire Eugene/Springfield area. I am shocked that the rating is not above 4.6, probably because they are in more of a hidden location and never advertised enough. I saw someone who obviously is not cultured with Chinese food said, " they just need to take more pride in their cooking", and that is insanely ridiculous. I always directly speak my dialect with the chef and the owners, knowing how authentic and professional they are at making REAL CHINESE FOOD. Strongly recommend Mapo Tufu, braised beef noodles, double cooked pork, their wontons and dry pots. My boyfriend is Jamaican, and this is his favorite restaurant too. We are usuals. They have the friendliest servers ever!!! They are extremely enthusiastic and hospitable, always making sure you are enjoying your food and have enough water. This place reminds me of home. Speaking honestly from a native Chinese, hope this helps!

Portions are huge. Food is delicious. Good service. Will be back again. Highly recommend especially the double fried pork.

    Spicy beef hot pot

The food is really good. I would highly recommend this. Leave the american chinese alone not that its not good but the more traditional food is insanly good. Chicken dry hot pot, fried pepper chicken, beef hot pot. all of it great and they give you enough for two servings for the price its a great deal. The staff is super friendly and helpful on your tastes and dishes they love. Any one saying this place is bad needs a reality check. Great job done by this place.

If you're looking for tasty Chinese food in the greater "SpringGene" area, then Chopstix should be on your short list. I recommend bringing a friend (or several) as you won't find traditional combo meals on the menu. Rather it's more "family style" with big plate entrees that are the size best for sharing. Sides of white rice are just a dollar more per person. Kung Pao chicken (peanut) $12.99: The server asked how spicy we wanted this prepared which was great since not everyone can tolerate super spicy food. We ordered it "mild" and it had just a hint of heat. I think the average palate could tolerate a notch above without a problem. It was very good with a nice balance of chicken to vegetables. Double cooked Pork Slices $16.99: This might have been my fave dish of the night! Thin, super crispy slices of pork with a slightly sweet sauce made for a great textural balance to the other items ordered. Walnut Shrimp $15.99: Large lightly battered shrimp served with the honey walnut sauce on the side for dipping. Great flavor balance between sweet and savory...these are addicting! Garlic Chicken Wings $15.99: Crispy and salty with a nice garlic flavor. I'd like to see a creative sauce for dipping, but just fine as-is. Service was friendly and we did not feel rushed in the overall experience. Drink refills were offered before ever going dry which is a great indicator of an attentive staff! Overall a wonderful experience!

Exceptional Service and Authentic Chinese Cuisine @ Chopstix in Springfield, OR. !! First time patrons to this establishment and we will most definitely be returning customers. They had several to-go orders during our time here, that did not interfere with our service. The staff was courteous, professional, and very attentive. They did not have ice tea on their menu, but their hot Jasmine tea was great, and we also were served ice water. Every single item we ordered was delicious!! We were very pleased with the presentation and flavor of all the dishes! So after we couldn't help but over-eat, we still had quite a lot of leftovers, and were ecstatic to see how reasonable the bill was!! They are more than fair on their pricing, that's for sure, we appreciate that very much, and have two more meals taken care of! The restaurant itself was decorated nicely with red/black painted walls, Chinese artwork, and lanterns throughout. Aesthetically, the walls could definitely use a touch up. The bathroom could be cleaned and maintained better as well.

There was this Asian woman dressed in a t-shirt and leggings with her socks over leggings up to her shins. Slippers was the choice of footwear. Very uninspired attitude and it's obvious that she hates being there. Kinda "I'm trapped in this dump of a restaurant" look and demeanor. Very well English and sounds like she grew up in the U. S. , but damn she was rude AF!! Breakdown on the food: 1. Miso soup - luke warm 2. Lemon chicken - breaded fried chicken chunks with a disgusting sweet sauce with a hint of lemon peel. 3. Scorpion Roll - might as well be eating a real scorpion because the fried shrimp in this roll was just glad yo get out of the freezer. Not good at all and the sauce that they smeared on the plate was had a vague taste that did not complement the roll. 4. The sushi- was offensive..not so fresh, most likely edible enough but we couldn't get out of this restaurant quick enough. I had to take a bite of the sucky lemon chicken just to get the taste of the super salty eel sushi. No, I did not dip it in anything. I only eat ginger with eel..a perdonal preference. Need I say more? DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Oregon has no tax on food but I still felt robbed of my $66.00. Shame..

Right across the street was a parking lot that offered 3 hours free parking for customers. The food: House Noodle with Chopped Pork - my favorite dish. Their noodles are made in-house so the chew on them are great. Good flavors, salt level, and a ton of meat. Pork, Shrimp, & Chive Dumplings - big on filling, no skimping on shrimp. Scallion Pancakes - very thin and crispy. A bit on the greasy side but tasty. Braised Beef Noodle soup - same awesome in-house noodles with bits of beef, an egg, boy choy, and a good amount of bean sprouts. I'm used to these soups being packed with five spice and other ingredients - this one is pretty mildly flavored. Pork Xiao Long Bao - they have some soup, skin is on the thicker side and flavor was reasonable. It can serve as your XLB fix, but this was just ok. Other Yelpers wrote about service, but we didn't have any issues flagging people down. They also offered us sharing bowls without us asking for them. Overall, we were really happy with this meal.

Had a road trip from LA to Seattle,I passed by this beautiful little town name Eugene today and…read moredecided to try this Chinese restaurant. It's a place that specializes in wheaten food and noodles. Looking at the menu, I noticed a wide variety of options with complex preparation methods. For example, the dough used for regular dumplings is completely different from the dough used for shrimp dumplings (har gow). Shrimp dumplings require wheat starch (cheng mian), which must be kneaded and shaped with water around 70°C (158°F) to form properly. The entire process is incredibly labor-intensive and truly tests the chef's skill level. Ambiance & Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been open for a long time, yet it remains very clean. There is a glass-enclosed prep area where you can watch the staff making the dough and noodles from scratch, which perfectly showcases their specialty. However, I was seated right next to the back door. Since customers have to use this door to access the restrooms, people were constantly walking in and out. The draft was quite strong, causing my food to cool down very quickly. I highly recommend installing a folding screen there. I also overheard other guests asking to switch seats for the same reason, so this is definitely an area management needs to work on. The Food: Since I was dining alone, I only ordered two dishes, but overall, the food deserved high praise: Griddle Cooked Beef (Gan Guo Beef): A classic Sichuan dish. The beef slices were large, the side ingredients were plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the seasoning. It had a rich, robust aroma of spices that burst in your mouth. Delicious! Beef Dumplings: Easily the best dumplings I have ever had on the entire West Coast. The wrappers were thin, the filling was generous, and they were incredibly juicy--literally bursting with flavor with every bite. Highly recommended! Service: Absolutely non-existent! About five minutes after all my food arrived, while I was right in the middle of eating, a server just dropped the bill on my table. I was completely baffled. It wasn't until I pointed out that I still needed rice that they finally took the bill back. Once I finished my meal, I asked for the check. The server gave absolutely no response. Seeing a long line of people waiting outside, I proactively asked a second time because I didn't want to hold up their business. To my surprise, the staff member snapped at me impatiently, saying, "I heard you, I have to go over there to get your bill." It was genuinely infuriating. Good foods. No services

Taste: We ordered shrimp wontons, dan dan noodles, and a bowl of maocai (a type of spicy boiled dish). The maocai was quite watery, not at all like the rich, thick broth of boiled beef in chili sauce--the ingredients weren't very flavorful. The shrimp wontons were very fresh. The dan dan noodles were delicious. Service: The restaurant is run by a Chinese couple who moved to Eugene about 10 years ago. You can tell they really love this place and run the restaurant with great care.
