Food was pretty good. Service is excellent. Prices very reasonable. We ordered the twice cook crispy pork and it was delicious. The pot stickers tasted and looked like dumplings. They were home made and really delicious. Beef pancake appetizer was also a favorite at our table. Unfortunately, the chow fun was salty, slimy and terrible. The eggplant dish was overcooked and slimy. The sesame chicken had too much red super sweet sticky stuff on it. Chicken wings tasted like they were coated in strait salt. I come in here almost weekly with my husband, or he orders takeout and picks it up on his way home from work. This has become one of our go-to restaurants in the area. The food is always good and consistent. I can't actually remember them screwing anything up or forgetting an item, even when we do takeout. Which says something. They also remember their customers. When we go in to eat there, they always greet my husband by name. When he calls to order, they recognize either his voice or phone number, as they don't ask for any information from him. Nor doe he have to say anything when he picks it up. They know. They also remember that I like chili oil when I order pot stickers and always bring it out. The restaurant is always clean and comfortable. It is a great place to grab dinner. This is one of those small local businesses that we discovered during the Covid lockdowns and have been coming to ever since. It has become comfort food for us, as it is consistent, delicious, and served by people who enjoy and care about their jobs and customers. Would I return? Yes! Again and again. We ordered takeout on a Thursday Night, ordering was easy and our food was ready when we went to pick up. We ordered the the potstickers, spring rolls, orange chicken, general's chicken, double cooked pork, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, chicken chowmein and fried rice. Now this was a ton of food that fed 6 of us for 2+ days and we paid $160 for all of it. The soups were very bland. The orange and general chicken tasted...not as fresh as they could of been and we didnt much enjoy the flavors. The chow mein has a lot of veg, which i liked but my husband was not a fan. My favorite dish was the double cooked pork sliced the sauce was sweet and spicy and the pork was crispy. The rest of the food was very average. read more

I ordered my food to go. Customer service was great from the little I got to interact with them. I am vegan so I made sure to ask about vegan choices and they had a couple options available. Which was amazing. I ordered the veggie rolls, sautéed string beans and chow main with tofu and ordered it spicy. Everything was delicious. Would definitely return here again. Finally had the chance to come here vs. doing a take-out. I was expecting the place would be full, but I was the one there. There were a lot of take-out orders though. The food is really good. I would highly recommend this. Leave the american chinese alone not that its not good but the more traditional food is insanly good. Chicken dry hot pot, fried pepper chicken, beef hot pot. all of it great and they give you enough for two servings for the price its a great deal. I am native Chinese (born and raised in Sichuan/ChongQing) and I would say they are the most authentic Chinese food in the entire Eugene/Springfield area. I am shocked that the rating is not above 4.6, probably because they are in more of a hidden location and never advertised enough. I saw someone who obviously is not cultured with Chinese food said, " they just need to take more pride in their cooking", and that is insanely ridiculous. I always directly speak my dialect with the chef and the owners, knowing how authentic and professional they are at making REAL CHINESE FOOD. Strongly recommend Mapo Tufu, braised beef noodles, double cooked pork, their wontons and dry pots. My boyfriend is Jamaican, and this is his favorite restaurant too. We are usuals. They have the friendliest servers ever!!! They are extremely enthusiastic and hospitable, always making sure you are enjoying your food and have enough water. This place reminds me of home. We made a later then usual dinner order through door dash.Upon delivery,all of our meals looked and smelled great. Once we started eating, it was less then a minute ( with all 3 of us and 3 seperate dinners) when we stopped eating due to the extremely overbearing salty flavor that was infused in the food. Ive never had Chinese or any other Asian cuisine that salty before. Spent a lot of hard earned money on a meal we couldn't eat. I dont know if thats how they flavor all of their food all of the time because this was the 1st time we ordered from this place. Definatly not wasting money here again. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food in the greater "SpringGene" area, then Chopstix should be on your short list. I recommend bringing a friend (or several) as you won't find traditional combo meals on the menu. Rather it's more "family style" with big plate entrees that are the size best for sharing. Sides of white rice are just a dollar more per person. Kung Pao chicken (peanut) $12.99: The server asked how spicy we wanted this prepared which was great since not everyone can tolerate super spicy food. We ordered it "mild" and it had just a hint of heat. I think the average palate could tolerate a notch above without a problem. It was very good with a nice balance of chicken to vegetables. Double cooked Pork Slices $16.99: This might have been my fave dish of the night! Thin, super crispy slices of pork with a slightly sweet sauce made for a great textural balance to the other items ordered. Walnut Shrimp $15.99: Large lightly battered shrimp served with the honey walnut sauce on the side for dipping. Great flavor balance between sweet and savory...these are addicting! Garlic Chicken Wings $15.99: Crispy and salty with a nice garlic flavor. I'd like to see a creative sauce for dipping, but just fine as-is. Exceptional Service and Authentic Chinese Cuisine @ Chopstix in Springfield, OR. !! First time patrons to this establishment and we will most definitely be returning customers. They had several to-go orders during our time here, that did not interfere with our service. The staff was courteous, professional, and very attentive. They did not have ice tea on their menu, but their hot Jasmine tea was great, and we also were served ice water. Every single item we ordered was delicious!! We were very pleased with the presentation and flavor of all the dishes! So after we couldn't help but over-eat, we still had quite a lot of leftovers, and were ecstatic to see how reasonable the bill was!! They are more than fair on their pricing, that's for sure, we appreciate that very much, and have two more meals taken care of! The restaurant itself was decorated nicely with red/black painted walls, Chinese artwork, and lanterns throughout. Aesthetically, the walls could definitely use a touch up. Mediocre and bland Chinese food. I ordered on grubhub and received in less than 30min from ordering. We ordered pot stickers, egg rolls, orange chicken, and chicken chowmein (asked and paid for extra vegetables in the dish). The pot stickers were decent. They were cooked well. They were a little thick, but crisp on one side. There was no dipping sauce included. The egg rolls were mush inside and not crispy. I ended up putting them in my air fryer to crisp up. The orange chicken was mostly mushy and sort of tart vs the sweet you'd expect. The rice was over cooked and mushy. The chowmein was surprisingly bland, and they didn't add the extra veggies like I had asked and paid for. We ended up adding soy sauce to just have some flavor. The chicken was also unseasoned. All in all, I might order again for the sheer fact that they deliver late. But not likely any of these dishes other than the pot stickers. read more

Yo chopstix, I used to love your spicy noodles soup but something happened to where it's just like a block of salt with noodles. Like if you were to get a Himalayan salt lamp, take a big bite out of it then take a sip of water. Idk what changed but please check out what happened to you spicnoodle soup. Other than that love the crab Rangoon and pot stickers. Dumplings are suuuper great. I think you guys have the best chili oil around as well. Just please please please fix your soup. read more

One of the few places where you can get food after 9 or 10pm in Eugene, and you can get delivery from here! If you're looking for non-Americanized Chinese food, this place has some quite good dishes (e.g., "dry sauteed string beans"), but some of the dishes are real abominations (e.g., the mapo tofu which, while fairly spicy, tastes like it was flavored with tabasco sauce and has no ma la flavor whatsoever). As someone who only occasional eats where when they're passing through and is never going to have time to try their whole menu, I'm curious what all is good here and a little sad that I won't find out. read more

Chopstix is located in an unassuming strip mall not far from Autzen Stadium. We've gone there once and ordered take-out 3 times. It's pretty good and affordable. It's possible to feed 3 for $40-50, which isn't the case for most of the Chinese places in Eugene. What I like is that it's not overly greasy, the service is fast, and it isn't too salty or over-spiced. We've had the tofu house special, General Tso's chicken, chow mein and beef with broccoli--all good. The restaurant inside is modest and reminiscent of places in downtown Chinatown in LA. Horrible Chinese cuisine, sweet and lacking in spices. The dishes seem rushed and poorly executed. The dish was chewy and soggy. The rice was overdone and mushy. Overloaded on sesame seeds rather than make an actual sesame sauce. It was like bad Panda sweet and sour, and least they make theirs with a little crunch. I saw a few bad reviews about this place so I wasn't expecting a lot but omg this dish was amazing! The shaved noodles tasted freshly made and they were soft and chewy. I got level 3/5 spice which was perfect for me it had a moderate kick but does not leave spicy feeling in mouth it had a good about of broccoli and cabbage and wow was it saucy(very good flavored sauce might I add). We got it to go and it came out probably within 10 minute so very fast! The workers were friendly and quick with processing the order and the indoor seating did look pretty cozy so it would have been nice if we got to stay and sit down. read more

Finally, I went in here for lunch after hearing about this place months ago. Why i never came in sooner, we'll never know, but it was great. Chinese food thats made with love. Not that flavorless chinese takeout you get from your average place in town. If you're a foodie, you can just tell right away that this place is legitimate for authentic chinese food flavor. And portion sizes, my goodness, i ordered the boiled beef thinking it's a dish for one, but it could easily feed 3 people with extra sides of rice. (It came with a serving ladle) My partner got the orange chicken, which was very good, fried fresh, crunchy breading on the orange chicken. Not soggy, over breaded trash from panda. The pork dumplings were very delicious and one of the better ones I have had. I just wish they had more choice in "dipping" sauce instead of just soy sauce. It came with a lot of dumplings. At the risk of making this place overly popular I need to let everyone know that this is THE BEST Chinese food in Eugene. Here's the caveat - don't order Americanized BS dishes that you could get anywhere else. Think General Tso, orange chicken, lo mein, etc. Get bold. Ask what your server likes. I have found that if even one Americanized item is ordered then the rest of the meal's flavor and potential will be dialed down. I get it. The cooks think you're soft and don't want you to send the food back. They know what they're doing. Things to try: black fungus salad, cucumber salad, twice fried pork, kimchi fried rice, pancake roll with beef, hot pot, dry pot (try the tofu), sizzling black pepper beef noodles, mapo tofu, chongqing spicy noodles, and house tofu are some of the BEST dishes we've had. Takeout has always been hot and fresh, the restaurant itself has a great hole-in-the-wall vibe and the service is fast and efficient but not overbearing. read more

Lane County Health Department gave this restaurant a score of only 75 out of 100 in March 2024. There were multiple hygiene violations that were supposed to be corrected. There has been no subsequent inspection since March, so I will not be returning. read more
