As we were scouting out which one to try, the guy at Roger's Baja Searood handed us a seafood soup to try. Because of how tasty it was and how nice the guy behind the counter was, we decided to give it a shot. So glad we did! I ordered 2 Spicy Seafood Shrimp tacos and my husband ordered a shrimp cocktail. Both orders were so dang good! The spicy shrimp taco brought back memories of my beloved restaurant in downtown SD called El Pulpo. It tasted exactly the same. The restaurant offered many seafood options including el pulpo (octopus). We came here on a Friday, mid-day so there were lots of seating and parking was easy. But I imagine this might not be the case during peak times. Something to keep in mind. In the food hall, there's a big projector screen, outdoor seating, a small stage (perhaps there's live music on some days?), and a bar. This is a restaurant I will definitely recommend to my family and friends, especially those that have missed El Pulpo restaurant. We'll be back Roger's Seafood!

Roger's Baja Seafood Experience is under a completely different ownership than its predecessor. Some cosmetic changes were made to the marquee, but for the most part the stall remained the same. Tacos, burritos, ceviche, cocktails, and specialties made up the Baja style seafood menu that was posted above the service counter. I picked two of the eight tacos for my order which were the Grilled Garlic Octopus and the Smoked Marlin. Both came with cheese which I asked to be withheld from the respective preparations. The grilled octopus was marinated with garlic butter, chopped into small pieces, and covered with lettuce on a corn tortilla. The smoked marlin meat was paired with grilled onions and peppers on a corn tortilla. There were condiments and salsas at a station next to the register where one could dress up the food even more. I declined and just consumed the tacos as they were prepared. Without the cheese, they were rather plain, but that was how I wanted to taste the two products. The prices were on the high side for the serving size compared to other mariscos taquerias in town. I gave a three star rating for my visit to Roger's Baja Seafood Experience.

The owner welcomed us and was incredibly kind and friendly. He even gave us free ice cream, which was such a nice gesture! The restaurant is also pretty spacious, and you can sit down and enjoy your food there. We ordered the 28" Works pizza, and let me tell you--it was HUGE! It easily fed all seven of us. We also ordered the antipasto salads, which were really good, and the buffalo wings were delicious as well. I can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu. I wish I could've taken pictures of the food for this review, but we devoured everything as soon as we got home! Great food, generous portions, and excellent customer service. We went during the period between lunch and dinner hours on a Friday so there weren't a lot of customers at that time. Tuza is located in a small shopping plaza near the shipyards. They have a parking lot available but they share it with other businesses so I'm sure there are times when it's full. We walked in and noticed how clean and well lit the dining room was. We also took note that they had a karaoke machine playing with some popular music. It was a pretty cool atmosphere. We were greeted by an employee who was kind and patient while we looked over the menu. We both ended up ordering burritos which come with chips and salsa on the side. Food came out quickly and was piping hot. My carne asada burrito was absolutely delicious. I don't often see this type of burrito come with cheese melted inside and wasn't sure if I would like that but it was amazing and I would definitely order it again. Their salsa is tasty as well. Prices are average for Mexican food in San Diego these days. We were told that they get really busy at night with the karaoke. I highly recommend Tuza-Bor.

I went ahead and complimented it with one of there house green salsas and it hit the spot. The fish tacos were nice and filling that were garnished with tomatoes and sliced cabbage.
