Stopped at this food truck and got a few tacos heading into work a few days ago - 2 carnitas and 2 asada. The asada tacos were amazing, both good but these had way more flavor. I drove by this place a few weeks ago and there was a huge line. Naturally, I looked up the truck on Yelp, saw the reviews and bookmarked it for when the Mexican cravings hit. Today, with a deep hankering for a burrito from chipotle, I remembered that I had bookmarked this place a bit ago so I had to try it. Oh. My. God. This place is FIRE!!!! The best Mexican food truck in town, granted I haven't been to all but I've been to enough to recognize a hierarchy and this place deserves the top spot. I got the burrito with asada and chicken and the flavors were mind blowing. The meat tasted so fresh and seasoned to perfection. Perfect mix of ingredients as well. It was a messy burrito but the best usually are. The tortilla tasted really fresh too. My only qualm was that I wish the outdoor seating was a little better. It's not an inviting area and that may be by design but it would be nice to have a place to post up and dig into this monster of a burrito. This place is great!! They did a great job updating the outside of their truck. The woman who helped us was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the asada burrito and carnitas quesadilla. I feel safe to say that the asada here is one of the best we've found in Portland. It's very tender and flavorful with a great balance of ingredients. Wow, Tito's Burritos might just become my new favorite spot. All the meats, from chicken to asada, were one of the most tender meats that I've had. Got a takeout of the Wet Burrito, Tacos, and Torta. Everything was super fresh and well-seasoned. Not overly salty or greasy either making it darn easy to devour their humongeous serving size. Great salsas and peppers, love the kick. Above all, super super nice service. Wasn't what I was expecting when there was a mishap with the delivery but the owner and staffs contacted me personally to make sure that things get resolved. I haven't written a review on this place despite coming here for 7 years because I've wanted to hide it away but it is definitely the best Mexican food on the west coast. I've tried tacos and burritos all across Washington and California and had insanely good tacos in LA but none of them beat Tito's. Char on the Al pastor and cabeza goes crazy, the habanero salsa is insanely flavorful, value remains insane in these pricey times. I would eat here everyday if they were open on weekends. read more

Best tacos in town. None of that overly dry meat tossed in a crumbling corn tortilla. Their tortillas are probably a blend of flour and corn, for tacos, anyway. They are soft and tasty every time. Their chicken is soooo moist and flavorful. It's truly remarkable that their quality is so consistent. I order via DooDash. I've tried going in person but they're closed on weekends. My partner is obsessed with their carnitas and asada. He cannot do any hot sauce but I think both their green and red sauce are tasty. I always use red sauce. My partner and a friend who has their asada burrito also have stated their rice is so moist and flavorful. It's so unusual for most Mexican places. The beans are whole pinto beans. On rare occasion they're not cooked completely but 99% of the time they're perfect. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with their food, is that I cannot add a tip. Most DoorDash restaurants have that option. Their price for a three-taco meal with rice and beans is $2 less than the minimum needed for free delivery if you pay for DoorDash. I'd happily give some $ to them for making amazing food, but instead I've had to order extra food I tend to waste (unless my partner or a friend is around). Anyway, it's a wonderful place. I grew up in L.A. and have always been disappointed in the Mexican food in Portland - until I found Tito's: simple, light (non-greasy), super fresh, super cheap, super delicious. And they (often) have nopales, which I love and haven't been able to find anywhere else here. Their tomatillo sauce is light and bright, they always give you lime, and service with a smile. Like the previous reviewer stated, the pretty young lady taking orders was very friendly, always smiling, and gave me positive vibes which I always appreciate because I've come across my fair share of people that aren't so wonderful. I was starvin' Marvin prior to arriving and out of 3 taco shops within a 1 mile radius, Titos piqued my interest because it was a nothing fancy looking food truck compared to a couple of actual restaurants either decorated with over the top interiors or giant logos. This might seem counter intuitive but it's not if you are simply after the best food and not just focused on an eye catching place to go on a date. Since these guys don't have the money to get all luxurious, chances are they focus more on making their food great. Plus I always peep at the menus before making a decision and one of the other places didn't even have pics of their menu and the latter offered tacos at $3.75 a piece! Tito has tacos at $2.00 (Jan 2022) and that's where it's at, great food, great value, & not mediocre tacos for nearly double the cost. I ended up ordering their nachos w/ carne asada, a taco Cabeza, & a bottle of Jarrito's Mandarin. It would have been nice if the nachos came just a bit bigger & w/ more guacamole & melted cheese however, it was less than $10 and I can't think of another place offering carne asada chips for that cheap nowadays sadly. I requested to have the beans and sour cream on the side (Pro Tip: If you can't eat nachos right away then request the wet stuff on the side otherwise you'll have soggy nachos by the time you get home.) and I was surprised they serve actual beans not the refried junk. Also, super surprising is that they use Crema Mexicana as opposed to regular sour cream!!! If you know what that is, you KNOW & if you don't know, you gotta try it!! Let's just say, I typically hate sour cream but I will gladly ask for more of this. Overall, the nachos had a good flavor though they could have been served hotter w/ more of everything haha. Now the best kept secret of this Mexican joint is their TACOS!!! Aside from their normal offerings of carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, adobada, al pastor, they also offer Cabeza, Lengua, & Tripa for the more seasoned and daring carnivorous foodie. The corn tortillas were so moist, steamy hot, and the Cabeza (beef head) also hot, tender, and delicious!! Not to mention their salsa roja is actually pretty spicy so if you can't handle the heat, go for their salsa verde which is much milder yet still very tasty. So if you haven't been here yet, go for their tacos, you'll be glad you did. Also, for Vegan folks out there, they had substantial offerings w/ veggies only too. read more

I just got a refund via grubhub. I had read good reviews of this place for months. I finally decided to try, and what a mistake that was. The fish smelled and tasted like it had been decomposing in a bucket for a week before cooking. The meat in my burrito smelled and tasted like roadkill. I spit both out. Bean cheese and rice burrito for my son is going in the trash as I don't want him to even try it. Gross. Just gross. How do these places stay open?
