I called ahead to order a side of rice and beans for 6 people and was charged almost $30, so naturally I assumed I was about to receive a mountain of rice and beans. Spoiler alert: I did not. What I got instead were containers that were not even filled to the top. More like suggestions of rice and beans. For nearly thirty dollars, I expected these containers to be packed like they were bracing for impact, not half empty like someone got tired halfway through scooping. Rice and beans are literally the most affordable items in a Mexican restaurant, so if you are going to charge premium pricing, at least give premium portions. This was supposed to feed six people and barely made a dent. Lesson learned. Next time I will bring a measuring cup or just cook it myself at home for $3. Tito's is a good option if you're in the mood for Mexican. It's the best I've found without going all the way to Franklin. They have a cool little autonomous robot that brings you chips and salsa while you wait on your server. Kids really get a kick out of being served by a robot. They have music on occasion as well. My only real complaint is that they get so busy that service can slow down quite a bit. If you like spicy stuff and cilantro, give their tomatillo sauce a try - it's delicious! read more

This was my first time at this highly rated Mexican restaurant Spring Hill with a group of 8 and had good expectations. Unfortunately, these were not met. Pros: They have an extensive menu of food and drinks. The bean dip, queso dip, taquitos, beans and rice were very good. The salsa and chips were ok. Cons: They brought our appetizers only 3-4 minutes before our entrees arrived. Why bother. The queso fundido, a favorite of mine, was a disappointment. It arrived lukewarm and solidified, so stirring/mixing it was impossible, and we had to eat what little we did by cutting it with a knife. Tipping a tortilla chip in it was not possible. The carne asada meat was warm, not hot, was strangely rectangular in shape, and was so touch it was difficult to cut even with the steak knife provided. The cheese enchilada tortillas were doughy and hard to cut. So, all in all, just an ok experience. Perhaps order selectively and you'd have a better experience. read more

I've only returned a few times and was included in "the many hundreds of Tito's fans" because there is NOTHING ELSE OVER THERE TO EAT! Actually, as my husband noted, you'd get a better Mexican meal by going to Taco Bell, which shares the parking lot! This manager's response is a joke. I have given this place so many chances. We love the other restaurants in this local chain, but sadly the one closest to us is not great. We have had particularly bad to go service multiple times. Order has been wrong, or missing items. Last time my daughter and I were there to dine in, I left something behind. We called about it, and they said they didn't have it. I had not been anywhere else. So my husband drove back and asked them to look again. And, there it was right in front of his eyes in the lost and found. In other words, they either didn't actually look when we called or lied for some reason. Management doesn't seem to want to improve the desk and hostess situation here. And sit down service is so-so. I didn't get a photo of my dish (fish tacos) as I sent it back to the kitchen for it being cold, missing ingredients, and came with unripe avocado (completely solid, there's no way they didn't notice when slicing it that it was rock hard). Tasted strange and sauce was heavy and the bathroom for ladies only had one working stall. Which is not very good for a busy restaurant. I ordered the chorizo cheese dip, I would recommend just ordering the cheese dip, as the chorizo grease was not drained so the dip was super grease with too away from the dip being tasty, I also prefer my chips being light and airy and theirs are not. Tito's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants!!! We come here often and it never disappoints. They changed the menu recently and usually I would order the cream shrimp. TOP NOTCH. If you like seafood you must order the shrimp with the tangy, creamy sauce!!! It is delicious and flavorful. Their guacamole casero is fresh and tasty, cheese dip is great, salsa is delicious. Margaritas are amazing. Staff is so friendly. We even had an issue with our most recent visit because of the new updated menu but Kristin made it right and took great care of us!! I don't know if I just ordered wrong or what... but if the pastor street tacos or the asada are any solid representation of the menu, this one is a big miss for me. The pastor tacos gave me school cafeteria flashbacks and the asada isn't asada. Proper pastor isn't stewed, it is marinated and roasted in layers. Asada is flank or skirt steak marinated and grilled. For some reason, no one out this way marinates their asada and uses low quality meat. I don't fault this place for doing what everyone else does but if you are looking for authentic good asada, this isn't the place. My rice and beans were old - beans were starting to dry out and had cracks in them like they had been sitting a little too long in the window. I didn't trust them enough to taste them. The rice was cold and dried out but I think I would have liked it if it had been hot and fresh. It's loaded with chunky vegetables. The chips and salsa and the margaritas are good. Service isn't good. May have been an off-Tuesday but a lot of things made this one a miss for me. Skip Tito's or come only for the chips/salsa and margs. read more
