Dang, I've lived nearby for 2 years and FINALLY tried Tivoli. Wish I had done so sooner. The vibes were good and the pizza and garlic knots were delicious. I love the cute yet simple decor and use of tomato cans as pizza stands and utensil holders. We tried the Utica greens pizza, which was fabulous. The perfect variety of veggies and breadcrumbs for a crunch. I really like the thin crust style pizza. The garlic knots were also delicious and felt more upscale than your typical garlic knots. Unfortunately, they were out of a couple of the beers we wanted, but we were able to find some good alternatives. Overall, a good experience and I'd come back. Tucked away in Fremont, Tivoli is a cozy spot serving fresh, wood-fired pizzas in a casual setting. We came on a Sunday around 6:30pm and had no trouble finding seating indoors, with a few outdoor tables still open as well. We ordered the garlic knots along with the sausage and pesto pizza. GARLIC KNOTS ($12) - 5/5 A must-order. If you love garlic bread, you'll love these. The knots were crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and dipped in an incredibly good garlic butter sauce. We even used the leftover sauce to dip the pizza crusts in. Yummy!! SAUSAGE PIZZA / PESTO PIZZA ($19.5 / $16.5) - 4/5 Both pizzas came out piping hot and tasted very fresh, which honestly made the first few bites especially good. The pizzas are large but thin, with a crisp bottom crust and chewy edges. The toppings and flavors were solid, though both pies leaned a bit salty for us. Omg. The chopped salad. I went here the other day because we were going to the wet clay Café down the street. We stopped in for lunch and I got the starter chopped salad and I also got their new chicken sandwich like a chicken Parmesan. The chop salad was the best chopped I've ever had. It was loaded with fresh shaved Parmesan cheese, and yummy green olives, and beans it also had the perfect crunch and creamy Italian dressing. The sandwich was okay, the bread was tasty but covered in sesame seeds, I think the sesame I could do without and the chicken was under seasoned. I wish I had got a full size of the salad it was so delicious. I will definitely be back for that amazing salad and to try some other things on the menu. Damn good cheese slice. Thin crust chewy but not doughy, salty topping without being overly cheesy. Have not tried other pizza places in Seattle (yet), but opted for Tivoli since they were open for lunch. Husband also had the Caesar which had some extra crunch from the raddichio. We thought everything that night was a bit over seasoned, but not enough to deter us from coming back. Our second trip, everything was more balanced. We swapped out the noodles for the squash, and didn't regret it. The pizzas are very big, and we love that you can split it so that you can try 2 different arrangement of toppings. I have been wanting to try Tivoli for some time now after all the type I've been seeing on social media. I finally got to try their pizza for takeout! We ordered half cheese and half pesto. I'm writing this review in consideration of the fact that it was for takeout. We placed an online order. Super easy process if you're short on time. By the time we picked up and started eating the pizza, it had probably been ready for about 10-15 minutes. So the pizza was still warm, but definitely not as hot as it could be. The cheese was already a little hardened vs. gooey when fresh. The cheese pizza was okay, it had a little bit of a funky taste to it that I didn't love. I also wish the tomato sauce was more acidic. I really enjoyed the pesto sauce on the pesto pizza but wouldn't be able to eat more than one slice because I could get tired of the taste. I would probably order a tomato or margherita or cheese pizza next time with pesto on the side for dipping! The ranch was not our favorite as it was a little too rich and had a unique flavor to it. We did enjoy the chili crisp and would get that again next time! As the pizza got cooler, the crust became a little bit tougher to bite. We ordered chilled pistachio noodles & mushroom pizza to share and we had more than half the pizza to take home. The best part about traveling for work is trying a bunch of new restaurants. So on this trip, we went out as a large group for lunch to Tivoli. We ordered a bunch of different pizzas, and I tried the Black Star (kebab) pizza and the Pesto pizza. I also ordered a lemonade to wash it all down. As a pizza lover I had been itching to try this spot since its creation a couple years ago. It lived up to the hype and is definitely a welcome addition to the Seattle pizza scene. The place was super busy and we showed up about an hour before close. The host was great and got us a seat at the bar after a short wait. The bartender was awesome. Great vibes, extremely helpful, and wonderful service. They have a solid collection of local beers on draft and I got a Kolsch that hit the spot on a summer evening. We knew we wanted a classic pepperoni but we figured a small plate would be a good idea as well to tide us over until the pizza arrived so we got the tomato pie which the bartender recommended so we could try their dough in its most pure form. He said we should get their homemade whipped ricotta with it as well and let me tell you that is the play! I will always be getting the ricotta every time I come because it was so good! A total game changer that will enhance anything. The pizza itself was also great, the pepperoni was cupped, the cheese and sauce were well ratioed, and the crust was excellent and cooked to perfection. This was plenty of food for us on this occasion (and we even had some leftover pizza) but next time I would definitely want to try a salad or garlic knots or a roasted veggie or noodles or their ice cream in addition to getting a pie as everything looked great. read more

I came here with my family on a Saturday evening and we had a good time! Tivoli is pretty spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. We were greeted by a kind waitress that offered my daughter a kids cup of water and a coloring page with crayons. Family friendly restaurants are the best! I didn't see pizzas by the slice on the menu like I had seen online, so maybe it's only offered for lunch? I asked our waitress though and she said we could order either cheese or pepperoni by the slice, so we got a slice of cheese for my daughter. My husband and I ended up getting a half mushroom & allium, half sausage pizza to share. The slices were huge! One pizza was six slices, and we had leftovers. Tivoli's pizzas are good! My mom and I were looking for a place that sold pizza by the slice for lunch and Tivoli came up in our searches and it did not disappoint! They offer a great variety of rotating pizzas along with salads and drinks. We opted to share a variety of slices along with a small Italian salad. The pizza dough itself was crispy but also had a nice chew it. We really enjoyed their current veggie option which was the kale and mushroom along with their current meat option which was sausage with fennel and leek. The Italian salad was also delicious and very filling. This is a great place to stop in if you are craving pizza in the Freemont area. The atmosphere is laid back, open and spacious. This is my favorite pizza is Seattle! They definitely deserve more recognition than what is already on social media. Service is always great and consistent. Good for small and big groups. I called day-of for a party of 10. The restaurant said they technically do not do reservations, but they were able to set aside a table for my large party. There is also a space in the back of the restaurant for really big parties. My favorite pizzas are pesto and pepperoni. Tip: order pesto pizza and add pepperoni. This was the first time I tried the seasonal chicken riggies (rigatoni) and it did not disappoint. All the appetizers/shareables are tasty. You can never go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend the mortadella sandwich w/ pistachio jazz (fig & pistachio butter) and whipped ricotta on sesame focaccia. Focaccia is fresh with crispy crust and chewy on the inside. MB2 recommended adding a side of house made whipped ricotta to the tomato pie and it was delicious! It definitely elevates the food enjoyment. Next time, I will order my own, so I can smear it on everything. The chopped salad is good. I'm not a fan of olives, so I ended up leaving those behind for others to enjoy. Their menu is genius with all the mix and match, whipped ricotta and bread. They have pizza slices at lunch, which are reasonably priced. Great additions: $4 more to add Caesar salad onto a slice, whipped ricotta $5. Customer server was good. You order at the counter and they bring everything to you. They have ample seating indoors and outdoors and are set-up for large parties. We decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews (Eater, Yelp, etc...) If I could, I would rate this place a 3.5. Sometimes I round up on my ratings but I decided to round down for Tivoli. We ordered one pizza, half pepperoni and half veggie which had kale, mushroom and ricotta. We also ordered a Caesar salad and I ordered a side of hot honey. The hot honey is delicious. It's spicy hot not temperature hot. Our waitress explained to us that the hot honey and crisp chili sauce is made with hot chili peppers. It was good and had a kick of heat to it. I liked it! The Caesar salad was decent with a mix of a variety of greens and breadcrumb crumbles. Sadly the pie was just average. It was good but it didn't have much flavor, particularly the veggie. I only spotted a couple mushrooms on our pie as well, which was disappointing. My daughter said she liked the crust since it was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. There are several tables close to the main front door which makes it cold. The layout is a little strange. I think it's not a bad place but I don't feel like I need to try it again. $38 is pretty pricy for a 6-slice pie. read more

Their crust shows promise, and the sauce is decent, but the cheese selection left me scratching my head. They use a smoked cheese that adds an unnecessary saltiness to the pie - sometimes simpler is better when it comes to pizza. While the ingredients are clearly high-quality, the combination just doesn't quite hit the mark. I paired my pizza with their Caesar salad, and like many Seattle pizza spots, the prices here are on the steeper side. It's not bad pizza by any means, but when you're used to East Coast pies, it's hard not to make comparisons. The search for my perfect Seattle slice continues - maybe I'll find it at the farmer's market! In short: Decent but not spectacular.
