Fantastic experience! We had the Bufalina D.O.C for pizza and Polpette Al Pomodoro as an appetizer and both were delicious. The pizza was great, the crust was thin and had a nice crisp to it, and the dough itself was good. For the meatballs, they were juicy and the sauce was fantastic - everything was flavorful. Came it at around 8 PM with a group of 6 on a Saturday. The location is narrow and long, with a more brighter space that has a lot of windows, three tables, and projections close to the entrance, and a more "cathedral" like indoor space with many booths. We took the mildly brighter space cause they had a table ready immediately. We got our menus, and immediately put in an order for the arancini since the menu warned it took 20 min to come out. We also ordered 2 pizzas and one calzone to split amongst us. The arancini came out much sooner than we expected, and it was a good amount for 4 people, maybe less for 6 but we also got the focaccia so the two together was maybe almost too much for an appetizer. But both were delicious! Our pizzas then came out with scissors for cutting. We split everything into 6 slices, and immediately went into eating. The pizzas were good, generous with toppings. I really enjoyed both. Our calzone, though good, was very strangely distributed. Cutting it into 4, half the calzone had all the meat, the other half had all the cheese. Overall it tasted great to me though. We also got the chili oil and red pepper flakes for the pizzas which I thought added a great touch. I love a fancy pizza. We had pizza with clams! How fun. It was good, but the crust was a bit soggy from the sauce. I wish there was more clam flavor in the sauce instead of just have clams on top of the pizza. There also is no HH that I'm aware of, which is a bummer in Cap Hill. This is my new favorite pizza spot in Capitol Hill, and probably all of Seattle. It's Napoleon style so the crust is thin and they bake it in an 800 degree oven for only 90 seconds or so. It comes out pretty divine. I've always ordered it to go but would like to try the inside sometime since the ambience is pretty nice with the dim lights. read more

Delicious food, phenomenal location! It's hard to go wrong with pizza and pasta. My favorite part about this place is the ambience. It's right on Pine and boasts a gorgeous dining room that allows you a great view of the street as well as a cozy dining room. This place was divine! We got the risotto, lasagna, via tribunali calzone, and a pizza (forgot the name, sorry). The crust for the calzone and pizza was nice and chewy while not being super thick. The serving sizes of the calzone and pizza were very generous, enough for 2 people. The pasta on the other hand was much smaller and enough for 1 person. Everything was well flavored, nothing was bland but also didn't have the careless taste of "Italian seasoning" everywhere. The calzone was what I ordered and I thought it was fabulous. I ate the entire thing, which was quite a feat for me, and I actually enjoyed how much arugula and greens were in it. It was like a bread and cheese salad lol. This place is quite popular for their pizzas but I was craving pasta, so didn't get to try the pizza and I'll have to revisit to see how the pizza is. Debated between the lasagna and bolognese but ultimately opted for the lasagna. Was a bit scared because there have been some bad reviews, but honestly it was pretty good. I felt the portion size was fair, not the best and maybe towards the smaller side, but not completely skimping. The ambiance is what keeps the overall rating high though. Tables are all lit up by small candles to create an amazing candlelit dinner experience. Music can be blasting pretty loud though so you'll end up yelling but then you also don't hear other people unless they're right next to you. This can be soon as both a pro and con. It was pretty dark around 7pm so enjoy these attempts at pictures. read more

Food was great - service, not so much. I was visiting Seattle this weekend and came here for a date after other places stopped seating early. We sat on the outer deck and it was dark but candlelit which added to the ambiance. We ordered wine, one of the pastas, the risotto balls, and the focaccia. The focaccia was bigger than I expected and was good. It was thinner and crispier than other focaccias I've had but probably because it is made from the pizza crust and cooked in a pizza oven. The risotto balls were tasty as well. Now for the service...our waiter was terrible. He never checked on us even after taking orders from the table right next to us. He took his time getting to all his tables (3-4) which were the only tables being used. There was a group that were seated before we paid and they waited for so long for the waiter. I looked inside and where is our waiter? Literally just standing there. Standing by the kitchen door, standing by the bar, just standing. Not checking on anyone. I ate the entire pizza in one sitting and I have no regrets. I got the verde pizza with cherry tomato's added and it was phenomenal in every way. The roasted bell peppers and cherry tomato's were very fresh and added a bright tangy taste that went perfectly with the creamy goat cheese and tangy artichoke. The pesto was rich and earthy but not too much and the dough had the perfect amount of chew. The staff was attentive and catered to any request quickly and was very friendly. They checked in regularly but not too much and were there whenever I needed. The atmosphere is great as well. The nice brick walls, wine shelves imbedded in the walls spoke for itself. Many places go overboard with whatever theme they have but it was pleasant and simple. The only thing to complain about is the parking which is, like any restaurant in the area, very poor. This is a nice, lively restaurant that specializes in pizza, and the vibe fits in well with Capitol Hill. Saturday night, my friends and I checked this place out, and fortunately, as a larger group, we didn't have to wait (heard a party quoted 30 min in front of us). No reservations if party is less than 6 people. We shared the margherita pizza, fratelli di bufala pizza, and rigatoni (vegetarian style) as some people were vegetarian. The pizza is pretty good and is on par with the standard Neapolitan pizza - thin crusted and slightly charred. While the standard is based on the margherita pasta, I really enjoyed the fratelli di bufala more as it is richer in flavor and there is Burrata. Portions wise, the pizza is a bit light. It's also interesting they just give us scissors to cut the pizza ourselves instead of it being precut. Rigatoni pasta was overcooked, so it wasn't of al dente texture that makes a pasta good, and even worse, rather than a substitution of meat, inquiring us if we wanted mushrooms, charged extra for it, so that is a no go. I've had more substantial and larger quantity pasta for cheaper, given that this dish was $19.80 total. Service was also a bit lacking - they didn't refill the water pitcher, and it took a while to pay the bill. Otherwise, the ambience is great for a night out, and definitely just stick with the pizza and nothing more. read more

Pizza. What a pizza!! The crust's texture was perfection - soft and chewy with just the hint of char. We were charmed by the scissors we were given to cut our slices - they worked surprisingly well! Fresh basil was generously sprinkled on every slice and the heaps of mozzarella cheese were a delicious mouthful. Our pizza didn't last long, and we were tempted to try another mouth-watering pie, but the night is long and there are far more pizza joints to explore...
