My foodie friend and I came in here on a Sunday right on opening at 12pm since we wanted to catch a watch party for the World Cup. Wow their decor is pretty amazing with the old-school artwork, large layout with many tables and a logo that resembles the iconic Super Mario Bros. from Nintendo! We were first in line for the day and got our pizzas first; servers fire up the pizza you ask for in their grills and get them out to you on a pick-up counter. We both over-ordered and EACH grabbed two slices of their meat specialty pizza. The slices themselves are gigantic, hence the approximately $11 price before tax per slice, and they load up on both the meats and cheese! The cheese itself has a nice, elegant pull, and meats are all tender and not too hard to chew on. They work best when you add extra cheese and even some chili bits onto them for a larger spicy kick that the pepperonis already add a touch of. For watch party and future sports viewing events, my friend and I sat on the larger tables where you can see their several large TV screens hanging near the ceilings. Some of their light fixtures block the way of the screens depending on where you sit, as I overheard some patrons making remarks about. The place is brightly lit, and its presence literally invites large crowds since there's so much elbow room inside, so I was happy to be able to see some sports action on the big screens here. Food-wise, I'm very happy to indulge in some pizza here after a long while. This is in Pioneer Square, so the only things keeping me from coming here often would be the parking situation and the overall sketchiness of the are minus crowds akin to World Cup capacity. read more

Ok this isn't what I expected at all to be in Pioneer Square for a quick solution to hunger. This is the kind of fancy pizza joint you usually find in expensive malls or what we used to have as kids. The food is so freshly made you can taste it, they sell it by the slice and a few premade classics that I can enjoy. Friendly customer service and a drink fountain for as much or as little ice as I want... I love ice but others want minimal ice. They even use the classic red drink glasses, it's like the best parts of Mr C's from Yakima, Godfather Pizza, Pizza Hut and Chucky Cheese in Pioneer square. Came in for a weekday lunch. Looks like a few other folks who work in the area do too. Very casual, large TV playing the mariners game. Lots of tables and seats, clean restrooms and even some pinball games. Pizza sold by the slice, I was content with one but I think two would have been too much. Staff was able to tell me which pizzas had what toppings. Only some were clearly labeled. I had one meaty slice and a small side salad. The slice was tasty with what was basically a breadstick at the end. My side salad, not so much. It was wilting and browning. The croutons were squishy. Luckily, it wasn't an issue for staff to get me a refund for it. The space is really open and generally the sound levels were comfortable to have side conversations. It was quite cold inside. Always happy to try a new pizza place. This place is larger than it looks from the outside, with plenty of seating. Interesting, though, for a relatively new place, many of the chairs had rips in the seat. Don't know if that's supposed to be part of the charm. For a Saturday night, the place was empty. It could have been a bit tidier. Staff was pleasant. There was a good assortment of pizzas to choose from to get a couple of slices, but my companion wanted 4 pieces so it was more cost effective to get a whole pie. We opted for a half and half (plain cheese and pepperoni). The pizza crust was very doughy, especially the crust. My companion liked it; I prefer a thinner, crispier crust. Am sad I have to write this because I actually love the Pizza at Deleo's. I had a very disappointing experience at Deleo Pizza due to the customer service I received from one of the staff members, Claudia. I ordered two slices of pizza, but Jacob (another employee) mistakenly charged me for a third slice. Jacob immediately acknowledged the error and kindly asked Claudia to process the refund. She was trying to make it look as though we were making things up. We had all the receipts. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Claudia responded with an attitude that felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. What should have been a simple and quick correction turned into an uncomfortable interaction. The issue wasn't the mistake it was how it was handled afterward. Good customer service is about accountability and respect, and unfortunately that was missing in this moment. I appreciate Jacob owning the error, but the overall experience left a negative impression. I hope the management addresses how situations like this are handled going forward so customers feel respected and valued. read more

Came by recently with some co-workers for lunch. It's located in Pioneer Square at Occidental Park. Cool looking place, spacious, 80s pop culture theme decorated, which I enjoyed too! Showed up around noon, line was long, waited about 15 mins or so until we got to order. Saw a few dudes leave the line as they couldn't wait much longer. Takes about another 5-7 mins after they ring you up for them to lightly warm up your slice and get your order together. Each of us got a slice each, and I think a side salad was in there somewhere. I got the sausage & mushroom, thin NY style slice, good sized, it was fine, just ok, nothing really that wowed me, pretty standard slice, everyone seemed satisfied. Prices are about $7 for a slice. They do have some other options like Stromboli, garlic knots, cheese bread and a few side salads. Good amount of tables, high tops, corner spots, a back room with arcade games, it was easy for us to find a spot. I've come by a couple times to get a quick slice on my lunch break. I've gotten their margherita. They use ricotta on their margherita instead of stracciatella or mozzarella which is interesting. I love ricotta, but I think that it makes for too dry of a slice. Stracciatella is almost essential for an authentic margherita. When I checked out here, the iPad at the counter prompted me to tip, so I assumed it went to the staff helping the customers. One of the employees casually mentioned while I was at DeLeo's that they don't actually receive any of those tips. That really bothered me. As a customer, it feels deceptive to be asked to tip when the people doing most of the work don't benefit. It does make me curious where the tips are going. I want tip money to go to the staff providing the service, not to management or the owners. Because of this lack of transparency, I will not be returning. read more

A solid slice! Crispy crust, great toppings, awesome flavor. We were walking by and saw that DeLeo Brothers sells by the slice, so we figured why not, let's grab a slice. $6.99 each for pepperoni and sausage, which is steep, but it's Seattle, so I guess that's how it goes. Service was fast and friendly - greeted at the counter and only had to wait about three minutes for our slices to be heated up in the oven. We took our slices to go, but the restaurant is nice inside and seems like a fine place to hang out for a while. read more

tried this new pioneer square spot! it's big and spacious, lots of tables and booths, could definitely accomodate large parties too! there's even a few arcade games in the back. you can do grab and go slices or full pies. they have a few sides and fountain drinks. we came around opening and pizzas were just coming out of the oven, so it was still warm and fresh. the slices are decent sized but the prices are a little steep, coming in at over $6 per slice and maybe more if you want one with more toppings. the crust is on the thinner side, the pizza is good but overall just pretty standard. read more

Such a great spot! The pizza is seriously delicious and you can tell it's a real family recipe. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. We even got to meet one of the owners who was really friendly and down to earth. He didn't rush us out at all even though we ended up hanging around past closing. As soon as you select the slice the pass it through the oven so its hot & fresh. Its served on a plate & if you want it to go then they'll put foil on it. There are individual slices boxes as well. The condiments and napkins are self serve. There's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating & the staff welcomes you in & chats with you. The restaurant looks nice inside and the pizza was decent, but the experience was ruined by the manager's behavior. After a minor miscommunication about paying before using the washroom, the manager threatened to grab me and jam mushrooms down my throat; completely inappropriate and extreme for such a simple situation and minor miscommunication. The issue appeared to stem from a misunderstanding with a soft-spoken staff member who I had trouble hearing , but the manager's reaction was shocking and uncalled for. Wonderful basic pizza place. I work nearby and have eaten here several times. Comfortable seating. Large slices of pizza. Today ordered slice of margharita and a can of coke - and the bill was $12.46 including tax and a $2 tip. Hard to beat these days. Salads are around $6. Efficient, fast, great prices and good food. I gave it a 5* because I'm thrilled to have a good lunch under $18 with comfortable seating. The stromboli looks awesome and will have to try it someday. read more

I first had DeLeo Bros Pizza in Minneapolis and loved not only the Pizza but also their Pasta. Couldn't believe our luck seeing them now in Seattle! Service is warm and friendly.
