    Blue Pizza
    Wendy K.

Have been wanting to try Nirvana since U saw their sandwich board on Market street for awhile my neighbor and I walk every week and have often walked by and have looked at the menu. We finally tried them today, actually thought we were going to go the Mediterranean or Persian route. But the Blue Pizza sounded so good we split that and a Caesar Salad. We're both big fans of prosciutto and arugula on pizza this one has blue cheese and I want yo say the arugula is lightly tossed in olive oil and lemon. The brightness cuts through the richness of the cheese and prosciutto. We both throughly enjoyed the crust. We have a pizza place closer to home about nine blocks away but we we definitely come down here over the place close to us. The Cesar Salad wasn't our first choice but it was a wonderful surprise the toasted crumbs they add gives a wonderful texture my friend doesn't like croutons but she loved the toasted crumbs. Love that they have covered heated seating. You can see the wood for the pizza oven. Service was friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be back saving my last. Star for when we try the rest of the menu.

Plus they offer hummus (which was listed on a different area of the truck)

A hidden gem in Ballard that I can't wait for more people to discover. The red pizza not only looked beautiful, its flavor hit all the marks. Delicious delicious crust with a sweet and buttery sauce. The mozzarella was so tasty and perfectly melted, much higher quality than I usually see. The basil added just the right herby notes. All in all it was a perfect pizza. Plus, we got a caesar salad which came with more cheese than I've ever seen on a caesar. I also appreciate they had seating right by the truck and offered utensils as well. The guys in the truck were incredibly friendly and joyful too.

VERY tasty gyro & kebab plates, a great value as far as I'm concerned too, you get a real heavy plate of all tasty things. I even loved the jalapeño or whatever semi-spicy pepper they put on my gyro. So good! They were a bit busy so they even threw in a piece of baklava. YUM!

    Sausage Pizza

Semi-permanent food truck serving true Woodfire pizzas and pasta. First time visiting I got a sausage pizza and it was solid. The dough has a bit of a whole wheat taste, which I enjoyed, and the ingredients were fresh with purportedly the sausage been house-made. I'll definitely swing by again to try another item!

    Spicy honey pepperoni pizza!

Found this lovely food truck in Ballard! So glad we did! Got the spicy honey pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and a beef and lamb giro! Both were highly tasty and prepared perfectly! The balance of sweet honey and spicy pepperoni and jalapeños atop the wood fired thin crust was phenomenal! The giro meat was deliciously tender and bursting with flavors! Bravo! Delicious. Outdoor seating is provided under a lovely wood canopy. Perfect for a quaint snack rendezvous. The staff were polite and helpful with helping us decide what to order.

An amazingly cute Mediterranean food truck on the corner. The gyro plate was fantastic and they gave me some extra pita when I asked. The hummus was a bit garlicky and I loved it. The salad was fresh and crispy. My wife got the nirvana chicken sandwich and was munching away because it was so good. We'll definitely be coming back soon! Oh and the meat is halal as well.

Decided to pop in and grab a a Persian kebab because I'm always on the hunt for good Persian food in Seattle. I was intrigued by the mix of things on the menu and figured what the hell. Nirvana did not disappoint, the chicken was succulent, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were all fresh and delicious. This is an incredibly delicious food truck, manned by super friendly folks. I will ABSOLUTELY be back to try the pizza. What a wonderful new spot!!

Chicken gyro plate was great. Large portion, grilled chicken to order, chicken was moist, hummus garlicky. I'd go back for this. $15.50 Sausage pizza was made to order in a wood fire pizza oven. I prefer a little more crunch to my bites but overall good especially for a $16 12in pie. Also, I strolled past this place as they were cleaning up and they were still very welcoming and willing to serve me. Great service.

Absolutely insane how good the pizza is!!! We got the mushrooms & sausage pizza and damn one of the best pizzas I ever had!

    Fresh and so so good!

Tucked down the alley by the gum wall, it's a great option for wood fired pizzas. The space is fairly small and very low-lit, but thriving with energy. Our service was fantastic, drinks were good, but besides the pizza the food was pretty hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and we kept the table full the entire time. We started off with a salad, spicy mac n cheese, cheese sticks, and Brie and cheese. Salad was light and refreshing. The cheese sticks were pretty normal, but also good. The spicy mac n cheese to me had zero spice. Just some mac in a cast iron pan. The apple and Brie had a nice presentation but the smallest amount of Brie possible(my picture was too blurry to post). The Broccolini I am not sure how it was defined as broccolini because the 5 pieces that came on the plate were huge. While packed with flavors of lemon and Parmesan they had a very tree like feel and were a bit on the harder side. The El Diablo pizza, to be straight forward was by far the best part of the stop. The crust could have been a little more well done, but that's just me splitting hairs. I ate more of that than anyone else. Probably could have finished it myself if I hadn't stopped for a lobster roll beforehand. Either way, great service, good drinks and legit pizzas!

The only server working made us feel as if we were not wanted and there were only two other patrons there so it wasn't as if she was busy. Karin has taken care of us countless times, whether it's a quiet Monday or an absolutely packed one due to the events at the town hall across the street, and they have always been warm, patient, and accommodating. I actually celebrated my birthday here because it's one of my favorite spots. I am part of the large group that one of the recent negative reviews is referring to. It happened immediately after the USA FIFA match, and the restaurant was the busiest I've ever seen it. Despite that, Karin still went out of their way to accommodate our requests that normally wouldn't be possible due to the rush, including trying to help with separate tabs when they'd already explained that large groups would likely need to stay on one check. As for things like grabbing water, silverware, plates, or chili flakes...our table had already gotten those before a majority of the group arrived. It's a casual pizzeria, on one of their busiest days ever. Setting and cleaning up the table (especially when seated outside) is not a problem for our group as we do it every week. Which is why it's upsetting that we opened our spot to someone that left such a nasty review. What stood out to me wasn't poor service. It's that despite how overwhelming it must have been to work post-FIFA, Karin was able to take orders, bartend, serve food, and close out checks with professionalism. Sometimes no matter how much effort someone puts in, not everyone leaves happy. The pizza is fantastic! I love showing up every week and trying what new slice they have come up with (in the year that I've been coming here there legit hasn't been a repeat). The atmosphere is great and the staff, especially Karin, have earned our loyalty over the past year. We'll absolutely continue coming back.

They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. A lot of places are closed already but this reliable pizza place was open. SWEET!! I walked in and lady working the counter was super nice and helpful. I got a slice of Italian supreme, which has everything. Now looking back though I wish I had gotten one of their Turkish dishes as I would have liked to try their lahmacun and read another Yelpers review and this place is supposed to have the best Turkish lahmacun in the US. Oh well, I guess I will be back! The woman heated up my slice and after a few minutes, it was ready. I took my slice and went to sit outside near Pioneer Square so I could be outside and people watch. Pizza was tasty and solid, but the crust was too dry. I have a feeling the slice wasnt the most fresh, so thats why the crust was a bit dry. But, if you know me, I do jot like soggy pizza (I mean - who does??), so a bit drier isn't too big an issue. The rest of the slice was good. Slice of pizza and a diet coke came to close to $9. Gosh things are so expensive now. They do have a special of 2 slices for $8.99 but I couldnt eat two slices. Id definitely come back here again when back in this area. Thanks for feeding me and if you need a late night spot, this is your place!

As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
