Love this TJ MAXX location. We shopped here for the holidays and there is a lot of great merchandise stocked. The women's jewelry section was very well organized. I was able to shop specifically for family members based on how organized it was. I also liked that there are many items in whole womens clothing section. I was able to locate exactly what I was shopping for in the women's section. I recommend this location for its cleanliness, organization, lots of merchandise selection, and good staff. read more

Stopped by here to grab a few items since it was cool a few nights while in Detroit. I came to go to the Coach outlet and stopped here as well. I found a pair of Nike men's jogging pants for $25 and then I got another pair of pants for the same price. The store was busy and stocked well. Things were hung and not messy as some stores are. To be honest with you, I love going to Tj Maxx and Marshall's. I love going for mainly one thing usually... decor! I always find really awesome crystal pieces at these stores. Sadly, this stire only had one crystal and it was a rose quartz. They did not have as much variety as other stores. They did have a lot of nice women's clothes though. I usually hate shopping for clothes, but they had a large clearance section. I actually found three nice tops that were plain and perfect for me. I even found a cute sweatshirt for my husband.... which I ended up stealing from him. The prices are somewhat reasonably priced. I typically only shop in the clearance section because I like to save money. I do not wear designer clothing, or expensive clothing, so this place is a perfect fit for me and my needs. read more

What can I say it is a TJ Max. You can find some cheap stuff here that you are looking for. Other times it is just a pile of mess that you have to go through to find anything. Just depends. This specific location is attached to the mall. I usually come here to check things out but sometimes is not always the cheapest price. You got to shop around because sometimes having a coupon somewhere else is cheaper. The lines are crazy long with 3 cashiers only but it is the holiday season so you expect long lines sometimes. Word of advice: one of the best sources for name-brand luggage at discount rates is TJ Maxx. Show up at the right time of the season and you can find Samsonite and High Sierra, Nautica, and plenty of fashion brands for a fraction of what the department stores or travel shops like to charge. And unlike online, you aren't buying blind so to speak. For frequent travelers or those just hard on their luggage, having an opportunity to look at craftsmanship of zippers and materials is very important. I came here hoping to find a better price on a 21" carry-on bag for an upcoming European trip. Weirdly, the TJ Maxx in Great Lakes Crossing splits their luggage/handbags into two separate areas which really diminishes how much there appears to be at first blush. Coming into the store, I found a few roll luggage pieces in appallingly bright patterns tucked over near the hats, scarves, and seasonal attire like gloves. I'm used to all the luggage being together, so I wondered what ate up the supply. Turns out the other half is across the store near the racks of clearance clothing. A bit inconvenient for me to find in the first place. Selection here doesn't match the TJ Maxx in Farmington Hills, but equals Beverley Hills and Novi. They had several very large (28"+) pieces I wanted to avoid, tiny fashion pieces in the 10-14" range, and an awful lot of hard shells. I subscribe to Rick Steves' philosophy: a soft rectangle with a telescopic handle and wheels is best to get around with. Not much fit the bill. Further, a great many were patterned hideously. Bright yellow paisley is a surefire way to advertise "I'm a tourist!" Just what I don't want. Prices were about average, $69.99 - 129.99 depending on what brand or size. Quite a few were marked down but nothing I was after. The rest of the store is busy and thronged with shoppers. I'd make this your second stop after refreshments on a trip to the mall just to avoid being burnt out by the sheer congestion. TJ Maxx carries all the products of a typical discount department store like Kohl's, JC Penney or Von Maur. The junior's and women's sections see a lot of activity, while the men's are catching on among gentlemen and their loved ones. Kids and shoes round out clothes; for the rest, there are extensive housewares, kitchenware, linen, accessories, jewelry, and pet areas. I usually give a glance to the shoes and the housewares. Their sock wall provides some pretty spiffy deals between knee-highs, sport socks, and trouser socks for the ladies. This is my go-to for guys: I've picked up lots of quality brand hiking and sports socks for a fraction of what you'd pay at Sports Authority or REI. High quality wool for $4.50? Sign me up! I find picking through the rest of the women's and junior's section challenging because it's so picked over. I have seen a few nice deals in here, like Not Your Daughter's Jeans (that moms love) and pretty classic sweaters, for $20-30, but you have to be prepared to dig and fight. Their shoe selection used to be one of my favourites but since finding Lord and Taylor outlet, it's a paltry comparison. I've noticed the selection in the size 10 area has really gone downhill. Take a look but remember Nordstrom Rack and L&T outlet also provide some pretty sweet kicks. Especially since TJ Maxx has started carrying Chloe and Prada shoes, it's definitely worth your while to shop around. I give this store two stars for being very busy, limited in selection, and difficult to navigate. I don't like having sections split in weird locations, though clothes aren't quite so affected. read more

This used to be a nice store. I don't know where the management is. Probably on break. The store is filthy there's hardly any shoes on the shelves it's just dirty. There's no current merchandise. I haven't been here for a while but I won't come back.. What a shame. TJ Maxx you need to get new management here. read more

It was an awesome experience from start to finish. I walked it, it was fairly busy as I'm used to. I haven't been to this particular store in well over a year. I try to avoid malls because of the crowds, especially this time of year. But they must have new management because what a difference the two visits were. On a Saturday morning none the less, I was immediately greeted walking in the store by not only the jewelry counter clerk but also by a women working in purses. The store was arranged nicely as compared to the last time I came in. Last time everyone was in such a rush, I wasn't even acknowledged. The store was arranged very different, there was luggage everywhere, the displays were obviously not kept up. The last time I came to this Tj Maxx I had an issue with an item I was trying to purchase that was clearly damaged, and the manager was so rude I just gave up asking and returned it to another Tj Maxx the next day. This visit was especially nice because I went in to start my Christmas shopping and my brother who had just married his wife and now has teenagers and I'm not so used to buying things for them quite yet so I thought I'd go with a purse and some clothes. The woman's and juniors clothes were very stocked and even more so then at some other Tj Maxx's I've been to recently, they didn't have the selection this one had. Then I went to purses and couldn't quite find what I was looking for, so I thought I'd ask for help because I have no idea what pre teens and teenagers use these days. The woman there helped me find the perfect purses, she informed me that I shouldn't buy matching ones like I intended because apparently sisters hate matching things especially with the age gap the girls are. I found two really cute purses that I'm hoping they love. Then she helped me choose some other gifts. I myself couldn't really think of anything else to give, but her suggestions were cheap enough I had decided to take a different route. I put back the shirts and pants I had found and bought the purses, some fuzzy slipper socks, nail polish kits that looked expensive but were fairly cheap, some make up for the teen and some bath bombs for my other niece, she also helped with some different ideas for my nephew, I wish I would have gotten her name. She was a pretty redhead, and so patient with me. I also didn't get the jewelry clerks name either, she was very helpful in finding the nail kits. All in all it was a great experience I hope the next time I visit I'm given the same treatment. My only suggestion is that they dust a bit more, and that they offer maps for around the mall, it's very hard to navigate the mall when you can't find a map stand, but perhaps that's the malls fault. Still as a merchant in the mall it would be a good asset to have. read more

Bad bad bad poor management, the manager coordinator has very poor communication skills they don't welcome and treat customers the way should be treated, the employee don't know how to use the cash register it took them over 1 hour To do a return , the store wasn't busy at all .
