Some TJM locations are bright, clean and organized when you walk in and some are not: walk in this one and you will see right away that clothes are thrown all over the place (literally), shoes are left all over the floor (and the shoe section is very small, so step over shoes to get where you are going) and the housewares section looks like the end of a busy yard sale. Ladies room left a lot to be desired, no need to elaborate on how disgusting it was (and I feel badly for employees who need to use it). Pass on this location!! read more

Big store and tightly packed with merchandise. I had to walk around a full circle before I managed to find the men's section. Signage could use some improvement. And while a large portion of the store is dedicated to women's clothing, the men's section needs some expansion. Lots of space for housewares and food. read more

Great location that has a Homegoods right next door which is my favorite place to get stuff for the house. Typical TJMaxx that has a much larger section for womens clothing than mens but that isn't to say that the mens section is small.. It's actually a decent size. It's across the street from Market Basket which is convienent but somewhat annoying since it could get really bad with traffic there. Overall.. 5 star store with 10 star prices. read more

It was early on Saturday morning and I realized that I forgot to bring a nice button up shirt when visiting the area, so I decided to stop in at this T.J.Maxx location to pick one up. When I walked into the store it was empty, which was exciting because the last time I came here the place was packed. The store itself was well stocked with items and I was able to find a new shirt in no time. The shirt I bought was great quality and in the end I spent under $10 on it. This was a steal for what I had expected to spend. The employees here were also very pleasant which was a change from some of the other T.J.Maxx locations in the area. In the end I found the shirt I needed and actually liked shopping here. I will make this one of my go-to locations the next time I am in the area. read more

I purchased a pink velvet office chair in January. The only place I used it was in my office at work. I have kept the chair in perfect condition. A week & a half ago, one of the wheels on the chair came off. I tried to see if I could get it repaired but that was a no go. I then brought it back to the store as this was an issue if TJ Maxx selling a defective product. The store manager gave us an attitude saying they don't take back any products after 30 days. We had to fight him just to get store credit. I believe TH Maxx should have a better return policy since some products they sell are defective. read more

This TJMaxx has excellent women's clothes. I always find something. However it's definitely lacking for men's clothing. I think the juniors selection is pretty good too! I have bought a wide variety of shoes here - sandals to slides to boots. They also have decent fine jewelry and I have seen some pretty great finds like Hermès scarves. There's a home goods next door and they have some home decor items as well. I've had good luck with purses too. Lines can be long to check out. read more

If I only have the option not to rate this store I would. THEY DESSERVE NO STARS!. I have never encountered such a disrespectful, rude and immature associate in my life. For those of you who shop at his location do not deal with Shanice! To this day Im still in shock on how Shanice handled my situation. When faced with situations, it should be handled professionaly but this was not the case. It was a total opposite and her actions were inappropriate and UNACCEPTABLE! The worst part is that they dont know how to apologize to customers especially when they're wrong. All you'll get is "I don't know", "I don't care", "it's not my problem", "whatever", or questions you with an attitude "do you still want the item or not?". I will also never forget the look and attitude she gave me. It's obvious Shanice is not a people person so I don't understand why she's working at a retail store. I used to live right around the corner from here, and would go all the time when it was still the old Market Basket site. So, what happens the minute I move out of Chelsea? They build a whole new Market Basket right next door and open a TJ Maxx in place of the old site. Figures, right?? However, I must admit that I am somewhat relieved, because this TJ Maxx is possibly one of the worst ones I have ever been to. I'm not the type of shopper who can leave a store empty-handed. As a compulsive shopper, that's practically one of our ten commandments. However, I have left this store empty-handed three times already. Complete disappointment to say the least :-( The lack of selection and product here is what kills it. You would think that with a standalone store (not one that is in a cheesy strip mall or inside a mega-mall), the selection and variety would be top-notch. However, it's just the opposite. Wow. What a let down. With Assembly Row open not too far away, I can't even compare the two. This TJs is run down, understaffed, and lacking in selection. You would think they would have "upgraded" the store by now, especially with the sparkling new Market Basket in the same plaza. This TJ Maxx location is in the same plaza as Market Basket in Chelsea. I have been here a few times and have found it to be extremely hit and miss with men's clothing. This past visit, however, there seemed to be a wide variety and an increased amount of racks for men's clothes. As with any TJ Maxx or Mashalls store, the racks aremessy with sizes all mixed in together - so sometimes you'll have to do some extra digging to find a shirt you like. The extra racks they put into the men's section is great, but they were really just thrown in the way so it made it tough to navigate around. There is only 1 men's dressing room as well, so if the store happens to be particularly busy, you might find yourself waiting to try on clothes. But overall, I cannot rate TJ Maxx lower than 3 stars because I was able to find clothes that looked nice, fit, and were cheap. read more

Don't Ever buy Jewelry in this store. It's looks so nice so you buy it. Just for it to break so I went and exchanged it they did t give me any issues . So Iv been buying rings and necklaces from them a lot in the last 5 months . So the issue is I bought a $70 ring there and with in a couple days the diamonds fell off half the ring. When I brought it back they tried to tell me that the receipt didn't match the ring. I looked at the numbers and the price an they al matched . The guy manager was Very Rude and talked to me like I was a little kid. I'm not stupid I know what I payed for something . So at that time I also bought a Diamond chain . I tryed the same day to bring it back because the clasp was broken and would not stay on. They Refused to do Anything because I didn't have the receipt. I told them that it was gonna fall off they told me it looked fine and if I find the receipt to come back . I never found the receipt. I wore it to a funeral today and it fell off my neck at some point and now it's gone so I lost out on all the money I paid for it because they are a shitty store who say one thing and then lie to you . They sell cheaply made jewelry and they know it ... that's why they give people such a hard time when they want to return something they bought . Iv gotten better more durable. Pretty good selection of items. The place is nice, big, and spacious. To be honest, it is not the most organized, for example, the mens section is tucked away. A man was inside, using shampoo from the store and a towl from the store to wash his hair. In the middle of the store. Gross, right? Pretty normal TJMaxx, i went in to look for xmas decorations with my friend- there wasn't much of a selection.. seemed like they were still putting out stuff so the aisles were chaotic and not easily accessible. the main reason i gave this store 2 stars is because of the bathrooms. i never expect 5 star bathrooms from department stores or big box stores but at least try! there were only 2 women stalls but there was toilet paper all over the floor, the mirrors were spotty and mirky but worst of all both toilets were terribly clogged and there was poop all over the actual toilet seats. i took one look and walked right out and went NEXT DOOR to the home goods store house their restrooms. read more

This is not my favorite TJ Maxx location but it's nearby and randomly has some goodies. More often than not, I leave emptied handed and end up going to a different Marshalls or TJ Maxx to continue the hunt. Recently, I did find some diffusers for under $10 in a variety of sizes which make great presents and freshen up a room. It seems like the women's section is dramatically better than the men's. For example, this winter there is an entire display of winter jackets and ski/snowboard gear for women. I finally found a pair of men's snowpants just thrown over a rack. I asked store employees and they had no idea where it came from, if there were more, or if they'd get any more men's items. The Home Goods next door is rockin' though! I .Ihad a wonderful experience at the Chelsea store the last few days.I left my pocketbook in the carriage after shopping at the store.Havig a bad habit of leaving my pocket book in my car in the garage, how surprised I was when I left for work in the morning not to find my pocketbook there in the car. I called at 10 in the morning and much to my surprise they asked me to describe and indeed they did have it. I went after work that day to retrieve the bag .AS you can imagine how grateful I was to have my fully intact my pocketbook with all credit cards and a large amount of cash plus many other important papers to my life. I would have paid anything to get all this back in my possession.When I tried to offer a reward for such an amazing deed, the staff absolutely refused to take anything .It was touched by the staff. The name of who I think was the manager and her name was ALISHA and I thank her and all her associates for their honesty and integrity. I hope I can express to them how they made mylife whole again and I pray that in some way their goodness will come back to them .Just want TJMaxx to know what honest empoyees they have and should be so valued.
