I had time to Kim before my hair appointment this morning. I thought I'd check out Ross since it's next doircthecth hair salon. A friendly Ross security guard welcomed me in. I grabbed a shopping cart and checked the place out. For such a large store they sure don't have much in it. Most of the shelves barely had anything on them. They did have clothes but nothing stood out to me. There was a small Valentine's Day section at the front of the store. There were a few cute things. I ended up leaving and waiting at the salon for my appointment. I'm not sure how this place stays in business. The prices didn't seem as good as Marshall's or Homegoods. read more

Was driving by on a Saturday afternoon and decided to stop in and see if they had anything interesting. Wow, the store was a huge mess. I feel bad for the staff that has to clean it up at the end of the day. I understand the busy holiday season and how people are stressed or frustrated, I don't normally shop here often but only once in a while. While trying to try on a couple pants the lady in the dressing area was extremely rude, she ignored us until we asked if we can try on pants just for her to interrupt me rudely and say "one moment" didn't even bother looking my way nor waited for me to finish my sentence. She proceeds to ignore us. I only got her attention once I sent my daughter in the dressing rooms myself while I waited outside with the other sweatshirts we're purchasing. No line in the dressing rooms, no stressful situations. She then proceeded to speak to me in Spanish which I understood perfectly, her comment was uncalled for saying "por eso estamos así de mal" (this is why we're doing so bad) I mean, if I stand in front of you a few minutes and you don't even acknowledge me, I refuse to stand and watch you be rude and ignore your customers. I worked in customer service for over 15yrs this is no way of addressing the area you are suppose to cover or be in charge of. On 2/24/25 associate 2220627 was so unprofessional. First she got into a screaming match with a customer over a return and you could hear her screaming across the entire store. She then proceeded to talk about the screaming incident with the next customer. No end to it. Then when people in line got pissed off at the lack of service because apparently this Ross can't hire enough cashiers, she was making more comments and of course was the loudest again. Employees in this store move as slow as molasses and don't give a crap how many people are standing in line. Feels like a third world country. read more

Horrible. I was just in there. My mom and I were in the shoe isle and here comes the security man rearranging shoes till he gets to us at the end. So we move over thinking he's rearranging all the shoes. No. It was just the isle we were in: what was that about??? We were literally trying on shoes and he just rearranges the shoes we were in till he literally gets next to us. Literally right next to us. Felt racially charged. We are black. And get this - he as black too. And he was moving those shoes so loudly. He only rearranged the shoes in the isle we were in. Nowhere else. Can't tell you how many times i have walked out of this store because the line is so long. People wanting to spend their money but Ross can't figure out that there aren't enough checkers. The line is often half way to the dressing room. Marshalls down the street other Ross's close by. Only come here if you like to stand. read more

I was making a purchase just now and worker CLAUDIA told me to insert my card before she scanned items. I said I'd rather wait I want price to be ok with me maybe I'll remove an item right. The store clearly states the store is open until 11. Some people may drive a ways because it's one of the only ones open until that time. 1045 comes around and they say they are CLOSED!! The kid said because they need to clean...excuse me, you are obligated to help and stay open until that 11 I clock mark, that ten minutes is not going to make a huge difference with your facing the shelves. I'm my 25 years in restaurant and retail never ever was it acceptable to kick customers out early so you can face the shelves. It's your JOB! Absolutely terrible business closing so early. The kid just kept saying how they need to clean...kid I don't care, I know how the store runs a lot more then you do. I've never been a fan of Ross cuz it's seriously just the ghetto option of a Marshall's or TJMaxx. But sometimes, you can find some pretty interesting deals here (ahem, Betsy Johnson jewelry!) This Ross in particular is probably the worst stocked Ross I've ever walked into. This has to be one of the saddest looking stores I've been to yet and I go to a lot of their stores. I think this place has declined it was much better five years ago. I visited to do a return or possibly an exchange and they didn't have a lot of designer brands and the selection was very limited. I ended up barely looking and just making my return. read more

For a Ross Dress for Less location, it's pretty mediocre. It suffers from the same problem that all locations do: incredibly messy customers who can't figure out how to put items back on the shelf. Half the time you can't get a shopping cart down the aisle without stopping to pick up after somebody else. Women's shoes is the messiest department of any store I've EVER seen, while everything in men's in clean and tidy. The clothing selection is pretty much on par for Ross. Nothing fancy, for sure. Housewares is better than most. The dressing rooms are kept tidier than others. Customer service is awesome at this location. I've scored a couple nicely framed Vivian Flasch prints here (both 22x28 nicely framed), a nice bamboo nightstand, and my favorite two statuettes, as well as some cheap Ghirardelli coffees. read more

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Always short staffed, long lines, and employees just working lackadaisically. Couldn't get help at the jewelry counter. Was told I would have to wait in the purchase line just to even see anything behind the counter. The cashier was curt and rude when I pushed the jewelry help button. I'll be taking my business elsewhere for sure. Meanwhile, they have a full time security guard just standing around. Can't even imagine how many hundreds of cheap items they would have to have stolen to make up for the salary they are paying this person to stand around all day. Ugh read more

The Ross Store on Bascom Avenue in Campbell is NOT cleaning ANY of their shopping carts! Come on Ross Stores! Even your competition, Marshalls and TJMaxx is doing a better job of providing clean shopping carts to their customers. This Ross seems to consistently have a great selection of decor items for the home. Many of the things in my home that people mention as being HGTV like are from Ross. I don't believe in paying more for things that I don't have to and the things that I do get from them seem to be very high quality. read more

This is a glorified indoor flea market, complete with the nastiest bathroom I have ever used. Great Deals, but why don't they carry sports bra's? Geez. This is the grosses Ross store ever, the shopping carts. Are full of hair and strings on the wheels. The Isles are always full of stuff on the floor. I arrived at this store as they were opening their doors for the day. I spent 30-45 minutes browsing the different departments and was tickled pink that I was finally going to be able to give a Ross store 5 stars! The store appeared clean and the merchandise was plentiful and well organized. And then ... I went to check out... I don't think the cashier acknowledged me at all, in fact, I was staring at the back of her head with a glimpse of her profile once or twice, as she was busy talking with another employee. However, even more than her rudeness, I was more surprised with her hygiene (or lack there of). Someone needs to tell her about dry shampoo since she was obviously unable to shower. She also had a ripped shirt!?! That could have easily been taken care of as well. I really cringed when she grabbed my purchases, wadded them in a ball, and stufffed them into a bag. I was staring at the back of her head once again as she tore off my receipt, stuck it in the bag and kind of nudged it in my direction. I literally walked out shaking my head. I'm a frequent bargain shopper to say the least. Two days ago, I came to this Ross since there is also a Marshalls across the street. I tried on about 35 dresses and ended up with 5 for only $71.00. Unfortunately, I returned two, one because it had a hole and the other didn't fit too well. But I am thrilled about the other 3. At the end of the day, I ended up paying about $40 for 3 dresses that look fabulous on me...They have jewelery which is a huge plus. The staff is loud and annoying but they probably hate their job so you can't expect too much. BEWARE::::Be sure to have a basket if you plan on trying on more than 8 items as they may put your selections back. Definitely a hit or miss store, but worth the hunt for a great deal. read more

I would shop here for decor and cheap pants for work that I replace every 6 months or so. I like that the sizes are easy to navigate and I can grab what I need and go quickly and for a very low price. Tonight I was treated with disrespect when simply using the fitting room to try on just a couple items. This is the first time I have experienced this but I rarely try things on. The store is clean and they have a decent selection, but like others have mentioned, their security staff will profile you right away. I was looking at some shoes and the older security guard with a mustache and glasses passed by me about 6-7 times. He made it so noticeable that I laughed and stared at him as he kept walking around me because I was pretty surprised. When I was trying them on, he stayed within the vicinity until I finally got in line to purchase them.
