This tj max is great. I went to look and came out with a bag full of beauty products. The customer service was great. Love their selection. It could probably be a bit more organized but there is a lot of foot traffic.

I am always a regular shopper at TJMAXX. I love Santa Monica Branch. It has two levels. They have a wide range of merchandise including; women accessories, women clothing, handbags, shoes, beauty products, dinnerware, kitchen utensils, home decor for every season, kids apparel, toys and more. For Santa Monica's branch, it has a nice selection of Runway and Luxury fashion brands at discounted prices. The staff are always very nice and friendly. I always enjoy shopping here. Of course, I will be back soon

This place is my alternative for other TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Not because they are worse than others, as a matter of fact, the service is one of the best I have seen. It is just too small for me, that is it. Maybe because it is in the expensive area? I have been to several in different areas. This one has a restroom and that is thoughtful. And the restroom is also clean as I inspected and washed my hands there. The stuff is ok, the first floor has more than upstairs. The household area does not have many selections compared to other branches. Maybe it is also due to the shoppers. I refunded one item and the process was really nice and fast. Briana is young, friendly and fast enough to finish within one minute. I feel good for the whole process. I have stopped by several times to check out the new items, not each time I will buy something. But I bought Christmas chocolate just last night here. It is just the right time of the year for this. And TJ Maxx is definitely ready. A nice quiet location for this branch. I don't know where the parking lot is as I arrive on foot. It is also safe without people bothering you outside. That makes me feel safe. Fee days ago I visited again and Audrey was helping me. She is nice and helpful, definitely a managerial candidate.

Ask the Community - Tj Maxx

Does anyone know if the Tj Maxx in Santa Monica has re-opened or still closed?

It has re-opened just the hours are different and masks are required. They open at 10am and close at 7pm Monday thru Saturday and on Sunday theyre open from 11am to 6pm

    Do they sell beach towels?

Yes, they do. But right now they're all Thanksgiving/Halloween themed.

What happened here?…read more The last time I had visited Third Street Promenade was... checks calendar ...fifteen years ago. Okay, so it's been a minute. Back then, this was the place to be. The energy was contagious. People were everywhere, the shops felt relevant, and there was a sense that something was always happening. Returning recently felt a bit like running into an old friend you barely recognized. Maybe this is simply the fate of the modern shopping district. Online retail changed everything, and malls across America have been fighting a losing battle for years. Whatever the cause, the Promenade feels like it's missing its heartbeat. Storefronts sit empty, foot traffic feels sparse, and what was once a lively destination now feels more like a collection of memories. That's not to say there aren't still pockets of life here and there. The location remains excellent, and you can still catch glimpses of what made this place special. But those moments are fleeting. More than anything, a visit to Third Street Promenade feels nostalgic. Not because of what it is today, but because of what it used to be. It's hard not to walk away wishing you could have experienced it in its prime.

Overall exterior was well cared for in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. It wasn't super busy nor crowded which is great sometimes because congestion of people traffic may make our dining and shopping experience a bit hard to handle. After our lunch, we walked around to look for drinks and desserts. We indulged in a little something from Chamberlian Coffee, Chagee Modern Tea House, Cafe Knotted, Oakberry Acai, Wushiland Boba, K. I have never left a Marshall's crying, especially not on my literal 30th birthday…read more I took the day off of work today for my birthday, and decided to spend the day at Marshall's. I spent three hours meticulously looking for all of the 50% off holiday items. At one point a staff brought a huge cart of holiday candles to restock the Christmas section so I directly took from her cart. At checkout I was told 2/3 of my items were NOT part of the holiday section. I pleaded that there are snowflakes on the lip balm, the palmers lotion said HOLIDAY GIFT SET, and the names of the scents of the candles to which I was told no. A manager and another staff came over to say ok to the lip balm once she saw the snowflake. Then validated her and said she's right these are just red candles it's a no. I one by one picked them up and pleaded "mistletoe noir isn't holiday?" She said ok fine you can have that one. I literally said wow I didn't realize I needed to negotiate and try to convince you for each of these?! As I went and read the names of these candles. She said you don't need to convince me I just didn't read the bottom were really busy. I said then why are saying no before looking?! (Mind you I come here often, there was no one in line, normally line is around the isle and I wait 20min) she stormed away. The way she talked to me was so beyond unacceptable and mean. NO apology for telling me no when not checking. I told the cashier I'm so beyond upset right now this is not how I wanted to feel on my birthday. Moral of the story Barbara didn't let me take many of the candles I am certain were holiday, ultimately I literally got on my car and started sobbing. What a crazy way to spend my day off, and my birthday. Ultimately while Barbara was extremely rude, the ultimate problem is that the items should be in the system as holiday or not instead of letting staff debate with customers. Please change the holiday system for the future, thank you.
