I purchased a London Fog carry-on suitcase from the T. J. Maxx in Yorktown. It came apart at the seam the first time I used it. I of course removed the tags off since I took it on a plane. I didn't keep the receipt as I've purchased many pieces of luggage and never had a problem. The manager was extremely rude and would not give me a refund or credit. Very rude. I have brought items back before without a receipt and received a credit. I have spend hundreds of dollars there over the years and will never ever set foot in that store again. That is no way to treat a loyal customer. I now spent $90 for a suitcase that has fallen apart after one use. read more

Nothing to say negative about this particular branch of TJ Maxx. Store is clean and on top of their game! Workers are always organizing putting away returns or new stock items. Can navigate through the isles without a problem. Saw a cashier page the Manager by a customers request -- quick request filled! Manager was polite and addressed customers concerns. My first time at this location. I was apple picking around the area and decided to stop. The store is well maintain and with plenty of parking. On the floor, the staff was nice, but when I came to check out I encounter this young Spanish lady that was not so friendly. As a Latina myself I felt embarrassed by the way she handled herself. My experience began by me asking her to leave the two long jackets I had purchased on the hanger so they wouldn't wrinkle. She replied she couldn't with out even saying "I'm sorry". I just declined as I could just carry both my items out into the car. Then She seem aggravated by me asking her where I can find my rewards on the app as I couldn't remember where. As she was walking away to asked someone else, my daughter noticed her rolling her eyes. I ended up finding my rewards on my own and just called her back. A message pop on the screens out my receipt which I usually received by email and print. She wasn't to responsive but as she handled me my receipt I gave a big thank you and smile. These are the kind of experiences that make you never want to shop again at a particular store. These are the kind of employees that shouldn't work on the front line because they affect your business and revenue. read more

Not a very great selection of clothing- mostly lower end quality. Same with the shoe selection. Home decor selection is decent. Lots of pots on clearance while I was there. Tons of wall art and I like that it's constantly changing. Even when the line is long it's not really a super long wait- they usually have lots of employees up at the register.. the fitting room attendant is friendly and attentive. read more

This store has always been hit or miss for me... I don't seem to have luck with their clothes but on a random day when I'm not looking for anything specific thats when i find something i like... My fav part of the store is the Home Goods section. You never know what you might find... I've been in the hunt for something to hang my bath towels on in my bathroom... And sure enough (bc I wasn't specifically looking for it today) I found something that is perfect!! If you have the TJ Maxx credit card you earn point for every $1 you spend. Once you hit 1,000 point you receive a $10 off coupon... OR Earn a $10 TJX Rewards Certificate with a purchase of $200 with TJX Rewards Credit Card at T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, and Homegoods. BTW... This staff of TJMaxx workers make me feel so welcome that it Almost feels family owned. Because TJMaxx is listed as a pet friendly establishment online, I brought my golden retriever puppy in, and soon I became the most popular person in the store! I met many nice shoppers and associates seemed to make everyone's day. This place is the best store (my favorite store of all time) the best prices hands down on pet items period. I love love love TJ Maxx, but jeez, this location is awful! Unorganized, crowded, messy. We found three of the exact same item at 3 different prices which I've never seen happen at a TJ Maxx. Employees were not the friendliest or most helpful. And the selection itself was terrible. I went to another TJ Maxx location and left with two bags full of clothes, and I found absolutely nothing at this ones. Yikes. I remember this location being much better! read more
