Should have listened to the rewiews about the fish and chips. When this came out it was greasy and I agree it looked like it was from a box. The chips are not your typical fish chips but just the thin french cut fries. For the price you definitely shouldn't expect more, and this can't be freshly batttered. The small greek salad with blackend chicken was good, except the lettuce was cut up in very small pieces and it was easier to eat with a spoon. This is a 3.5 or 4 star place. We were here from out of town on a Saturday. The place was busy which is a good sign. We didn't want a chain restaurant. We had about a 15 minute wait, but there was really no place to stand without being in the path of wait staff. They need to add a seating area. The staff was working quickly and efficiently to turn over tables. Ours was clean when we were seated, but no table settings. Our waitress arrived soon after we were seated and took drink orders. During our dinner, she offered us water and drink refills. She was friendly and efficient. We ordered chips and guacamole and one Caesar salad. They were served quickly. The guacamole was flavorful and fresh, but a pretty small serving and there was definitely not enough chips. The Caesar salad was good. There were five in our party. Here are our ratings on the food. Penne pasta with marinara was 4 stars. More sauce than pasta. The chicken cheese steak and beef cheesesteak were a 3.5. Would have been 4s if we weren't so close to Philly. The cheese was in large lumps in the chicken and barely noticeable in the beef. The beef was nice and lean, not greasy. The hamburger was a 4. The fries were very good and rated a 4 or 5. The fish tacos were disappointing, 2.5 or 3 stars at most. The fish was unappetizing and the tacos were unflavorful and somewhat soggy. Wouldn't recommend this item. Overall, it was a decent experience, and prices were reasonable. With a little upgrade to the food, this could be a go to place. read more

Food--very good; however, this is a Trivia night rating. Thumbs down! Either hire someone to play music OR do trivia--not BOTH! Our group has been doing trivia nights for six years, so we've seen a lot of different trivia MCs. Questions were beyond difficult,and only three rounds because of all the music playing. Ugh! So much love for this place..This is our go-to spot. Tj's never disappoints. Service is always great and the food is exceptional. Specials are unique and flavorful; you'll never see the same thing twice. Seriously, I've never had a bad meal here. We live in doylestown where there are a ton of great restaurants but we always come back to TJ's. I recommend their buffalo wings, chicken marsala, broiled seafood combo.. I have now been to TJ Smiths for dinner and for their breakfast buffet. Their food is about average but I do like the setup inside and the fun concept. The breakfast buffet is really cheap (only $10) but only includes the basics. Not sure I would return as there wasn't really anything that impressed me but appreciate the low price. I wanted to update this posting because I have been here a few more times. I have tried a few of the plated meals and they have all been good. I do recommend the Truffle Porcini Ravioli. It is very good. The pasta is thin like it should be so the flavor of the filling can be tasted. The deserts are good as well. Celebrated a dinner for my boys high school graduation and the manager Lewis was absolutely so accommodating to whatever we requested. Our waitress Tiffany went above and beyond to make our party feel comfortable and well taken care of. Our drinks we never left empty and our food was prepared and brought out to us exactly as we had hoped. TJSmiths has great food and reasonably priced. I would recommend this place to anyone. We go there about 2-3 months. The Aztec Salad or the pulled pork sandwich has to be the 2 best things on the menu. read more

I took my elderly mother to TJ Smith's for lunch today. We have been there on several occasions and were very satisfied with the food. Today, however, even though the food was good the lack of a response to my comment when we were waiting to be seated is not acceptable. When we pulled in the parking lot, there was a landscape truck doing work for TJ Smith's. Because my mother is 93 years old and uses a walker it would have been nice to park in the handicap spaces that are provided close to the walkway to the front door however, that was not the case today because the landscape truck was not only parked in the lined spaces between the handicap spaces but they had their equipment thrown all over the handicap spaces. I told the hostess about this problem as she seated us and her response was that she would tell the manager. We ate lunch and was there on the premises approx. 45 minutes and no manager ever came over to address my concern or better yet the hostess never said she passed my concern to the proper person. When we left to go to the car the landscapers were still in the same spot cluttering the handicap spots even more with their equipment. This whole experience has left me knowing that I will not be back to TJ Smith's in the future. Although I like the food at TJ Smith's their lack of concern over someone who is handicapped is not an establishment that I want to return to. TJ Smiths has a nice draught beer list and suprisingly diverse menu. Enjoyed an afternoon watching some football there and had a 5 dollar personal pizza. Sauce and crust were acceptable. Good selection of seasonal beers on tap. read more

My family and I love going to TJ. We're they're usually between 5-6 on a Friday night, we we just dont feel like cooking for the kids! It is TRULY kid-friendly - they make accomodations and menu changes all the time. Kids meals are around $6. Entrees and specials are usually filling and tasty. Hey what can you say.. they're your run of the mill pub place with decent food selections and decent beer selections. Food is a bit greasy for my taste but was cooked decent enough to eat. They have tons of HD tvs around so if you're into watching games while eating it's a decent place to go. I've never had to wait for a table here but I usually go during the day for lunch. There are a lot of places to eat in the warrington area where I live so I visit here maybe once every three months but we held my sons Rehearsal Dinner here and they did a phenomenal job at a great price. It looked and tasted exactly like Van Kemp's from the freezer at your local grocery. Tj Smith's of Warrington is definitely a place to enjoy! My friends and I recently stopped there for lunch. The decor is spacious and upscale, with an attractive bar area, and plenty of TV's for viewing. Extensive beer, wine, cocktail menu. Although we were not present for the live entertainment, there was a schedule for Friday evenings. The menu is enticing, and I think we could have been pleased if ordering blind-folded. We decided on crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, and simply could not resist the pumpkin martinis, absolutely delicious...in fact, it took much restraint to not order a second one each! I enjoyed the arugula and fennel salad, while one friend liked the fancy spinach salad, and the other was quite pleased with the pastrami reuben. Stopped in for early weeknight dinner. Only a few people there when we arrived so seated us quickly. Basic pubfare food at overly steep prices. The gap in Customer Service is wide. Menus were actually dirty and had some hairs stuck to them. Appetizer plates had dried food stains. The biggest issue was that the pleasant server had no connection to the food runner who actually delivers meals to the table. We did not have a good experience here. read more

Great service, good atmosphere. Plenty of TV's, and they had live music on Friday night. Especially like the amount of beers offered on tap. Anyplace with a variety of tap brews is A+ in my book.
