Food is good, but the new menu lacks creativity and doesn't offer many vegetarian options --it's like just another TGI Friday's. It's disappointing because this place used to have some really interesting, nice (affordable) options for vegetarians and just in general. Very poor service. As poor as the service from the waitress and staff was, I blame leadership. My only explanation is that they're making so much money that they've gotten lazy. I ordered a medium hamburger, it came out medium rare, borderline rare. When they brought us food, they forgot silverware and napkins. When ordering, I asked to switch out Swiss cheese for Gouda and I was told it would be an extra charge...even though I simply wanted to change one cheese to another, not add cheese. When we arrived, my fiancée (25) forgot her license. They wouldn't serve her alcohol, which I understand. However, they served another person at our table without seeing him or carding him at all (he was in the bathroom and we ordered the drink for him). At the end of the meal, we asked the waitress to split the bills and she messed them up. Anyway, if the company of our friends wasn't so good, the experience would have been really bad. Don't waste your time and money. Once leadership improves their service and commitment to excellence, then I'll consider going back. read more

Awesome happy hour! Half price all apps and discounted drinks.. great place to come with friends for happy hour and order a bunch of apps to share. They have a nice patio in the summer too... no great views or anything as overlooks a busy road but it is still nice to be outside. read more

My husband and I went there last week for our anniversary. The place is very nicely done. The service was quick, and the selection beer and food was very good. I got the stir fry and my husband got the broiled seafood combo. The corn chowder was EXCELLENT! As stated in some of the other reviews, my food was very salty, and he mentioned that the clams casino had enough salt for the rest of his life ;o) Desserts were awesome. Besides the salt issue, I was a little creeped out that the hostess had flip flops on. If she is going in and out of the kitchen, I think she should have regular shoes. this is exactly what the doylestown area needed - a bar and grill that isn't tiny and overpriced and isn't a crappy chain restaurant. they have TONS of beers, and you can get any of the ones on tap in a pitcher. there are large TVs around the dining area so it would be a great place to watch a game. the food is tasty and very reasonably priced. i ordered a pork panini and i loved it. (pork loin, bacon, provolone, and mixed greens with a balsamic sauce. muy tasty.) i'm looking forward to going here not only to hang out at the bar, but at the outdoor patio as well. read more

Service was decent and food was not very good. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. Pretty bland chicken cheesesteak that didn't even fill a wrap. Blackened chicken sandwich was nothing to write home about either. Bar looked great though so will be back just for drinks probably. read more

We sat outside, and it started out really nice, but when the watress brought out our appetizer, she accident spill my water all over me, knowing that it was a accident, I wasnt mad , but soak though and though.then the manager told us we had move inside cause it was going to rain, but did not provide us with a table or seating! tired of standing, holding our meals. we ask to finish our meals outside, it was only spitting rain a little. then it started to get really dark outside so we decide to just box up our meal, and leave. when asking after all that for our check, you think that restaurant would have offered something off the billed. Went here for lunch the other day and will never be back again. I have driven by this place so many times and had been wanting to check it for a while. My boyfriend and I decided to stop there for a lunch date and aside from the nice waitress it was awful. The menu had the most random choices and nothing really stood out. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and there was barely any and you could smell the fishyness from a mile away. It was rubbery as well- barely touched it. My boyfriend ordered the pretzels which were pretty good, but insanely greasy. I was in the mood for a salad so I ordered the steak fajita salad. when it came out I could already tell it was going back. it was saturated in dressing, french fries thrown on top (thought they would be on the side) and the steak was green on the outside and grey on the inside!!! The green part I figured out was marinade, but when I opened it up there was no pink only grey and it smelt old and disgusting. when I picked up the lettuce the dressing was dripping off of it! I immediately sent it back and the waitress was very apologetic. I was so hungry that I ordered the Penne vodka which was halfway decent. It's a shame because the atmosphere is great inside but the food was horrendous. Never again. read more

The food is ok. No complaints about that. But today's low rating is bc of pricing. The entrees are priced high, and the quality is in line with TGIFRIDAYS and APPLEBEES. We wanted to swap out a loaded baked potato for a side salad. They said it could not be done, but we could pay 2.99 extra for a salad salad. We came here on a friday night. The restaurant was very crowded with a wait, but our party was handled efficiently by the hostess, and we were sat in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant was very nice inside, very open with high ceilings, a beautiful bar and lots of flat screen tv's. The server greated us very quickly and was extremely helpful. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. The cholula shrimp appertizer was excellent, definitely recommend. I had the honey and soy glazed salmon which was excellent as well. Went here last night (Sunday) around 7PM with my husband and sat at the bar. The bartender was very focused on people already sitting and was not attentive to my husband and I for at least 15 minutes. She eventually approached us and I asked her for a beer and she replied with a nasty attitude. Once we got our drinks, she never came back to us even though we wanted to order food. We drank half the drink and left cash on the bar and walked out. Not a good experience and will not be back. read more

We've been here a few times now, once for "burger night" great bang for your buck, good burgers, but staff complaining about working that evening. 2nd time came for the Sunday Brunch. Good selection, (mostly breakfast food) but had an omelet station, so I give it added points. I would like to see more lunch choices on the buffet. Last visit was on a Saturday. Restaurant was full. Host staff seemed unorganized and flustered. I went to the bar for a beer while I waited. (Female) bartender didn't give us the time of day as we sat there. Bar was full but she worked at her own slow pace. We had to flag her down to get an order. No personality, didn't offer any food or drinks or even a menu to look at. We sat there close to 20 minutes and she never came back to check on us. In between taking care of service bar and a few 'regulars' she had time to text on her phone. We were sat at a table in the back (away from bar side) for dinner. Our waitress, Diana, was fantastic. She was pleasant, professional and offered her recommendations.She checked back on us frequently, entertained us with her charm and had me ordering items I probably would have never tried. We had the wings which were good (typical) and pretzel sticks as apps. I'm usually a meat eater, but she recommended the Mandarin chicken salad which I enjoyed. The Reuben sandwich was ok, disappointing amount of meat, but tasty. Diana also recommended us to try their Prime Rib on Wednesday nights. I told her we would request her when we return. read more

My husband and I went to happy hour tonight at T.J. Smith's. All I can say is excellent. Where can you get the choice of appox. 20 draft beers for $2.50. This includes guiness, bass, stella and many more. The 1/2 price appetizers were very good. Highly recommend. Go there for happy hour! read more

I went with a few friends for trivia and munchies. Not a lively crowd, other than 1 guy who was either drunk or a very loud regular? It was not crowded, yet service was awful. TJ Smith's had great food. And lots of gluten free options which I always appreciate. I had the ribs and they were literally fall-off-the-bone tender and had great flavor. My husband had the crab ravioli which he said were amazing. We were in town for a wedding and this restaurant was right across from our hotel. We even went back a second night to grab a to-go order. My wife and I have been going to TJ Smith's a few times each month for the past year. We love the atmosphere, food, drinks and our 2 favorite bartenders, Sarah and Chris. The service is always great. My only complaint is that the quality of the beer on tap has declined over the past few months and my favorite, Stone Arrogant Bastard (which was previously always on tap) has disappeared from their line-up. Please bring back the Arrogant B** and also a high-quality IPA to the beer list. read more

On Dec 21 we hosted a " jack and Jill " bridal shower at Tjsmiths. What a wonderful experience. The manager joe was wonderful to work with and so helpful in setting up the area. Love this place. Great atmosphere with large comfy booths, tables for bigger groups and a nice patio when the weather is warm. Monday is $5 burger night and the burgers are awesome. Happy hour is 4-6 with great appetizers that are all half price. The crab dip and cholulu shrimp are my favorites. Try the pizzas, too. Just the right size for 2. Great crust and toppings. The bar has a great selection of craft and draft beers. We go here at least once a week. read more

Tonight my family and I came in for $5 burgers and our waitress Diana was wonderful and very friendly! She was on top of everything. The food was great and filling. I couldn't say the same for the hostess tonight. She was very rude and not friendly at all ,she didn't greet us as we came in. Then When she took us back to our table she threw the menus on the table and walked away. I have a handicap sister and would of appreciate if she could of taken a chair away and helped so us get settled at the table. We came in for business lunch meeting. It's a great place to meet with your fellow employees. It was our first time meeting at TJ Smith's. As our meeting was a success our lunch was a disappointment. Couple of our dishes were simply not tasty, (the fish tacos and the taco salad) The fish was pretty good but the rest was lacking flavor, white rice w caned beans. It sounded delicious since it mentioned that it has cilantro dressing but didn't taste cilandro at ALL. My coworker ordered the taco salad and she loves food, simply could not finish it. ( she can write her own review about it) My other team members ordered caecar salad and pizza and they did enjoy those dishes. I mentioned that our food wasn't satisfying but sorry is all we got. If you are looking for a casual, but good food and atmosphere, TJ Smith's is the place to go. I love their food especially the appetizers and salads especially the Potato Skins, Quesadilla, lettuce wraps, and wings. My favorite salads are the Wedge Salad, and Chopped Greek Salads.
