Gotta love the happy hour pricing

Love happy hours! This was one of the best happy hours around (4pm-6pm). Still thinking about it today. Besides, you can't go wrong with half priced appetizers. Huge portions too. I ordered the half price lettuce wraps which were delicious and even had left overs for lunch. Plus, the drinks were a generous pour with great prices also. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Wish I were hungry enough to order the mussles which everyone around us ordered. They looked so good in the marinara sauce and bread dipping. Maybe next time... and there will be a next time. The restaurant is quite large and spacious. Has a large bar and outside seating. Portions for dinners looked impressive as they passed by. Service was attentive and friendly (bar tender Mark). Yup...it was all good.

May 18, 2023, dinner for 3 - sadly we were last here as two couples many years ago... our dear friend Brian lost his battle to throat cancer a month ago. Our server Emma was fantastic, witty, and stupendously attentive. I was going to skip this review and just enjoy my dinner out on our 3,000 mile journey from Florida to NC to PA to my daughters college graduation. I have at least 5 pending reviews, but this one jumped the to fruition. Got a few cosmos for the girls, and I just a water with lemon. They declared fantastic and a very good value at under 8 bucks. 10/10 My Grilled vegetable sandwich with mushroom's, spinach, peppers on a focaccia roll was nicely cooked, not too oily/greasy/wet, and had nice product. If I had a quip a little bit TOO cheesy, but nothing horrible. 9/10 The girls both got the Aztec salad. With a wide assortment of veggies (corn, cheese, lettuce etc. and a spicy/Cajun shrimp and lemon chicken that BOTH enjoyed very much. 10/10 The place is almost surgical clean, crazy spacious and VERY easy to have a conversation and chat without somebody sitting in your lap or wait/bus staff banging into you. Silverware and glassware clean, clear and table linens serviceable and sanitary. I did not look at other reviews yet, but I am challenged to find any issues here. Service, food, facilities, value - check, check, check, check. Great spot.

Her movements equated to Mozart's fifth Symphony, every pore was exact, and she moved with the gratefulness of a swan, Jen, not skipping a beat for a moment. She was so fast. The only images I could get would be a blur yet she took our order made our drinks asked us how we liked our dinner and all this in the moment. The food was delicious. The owner came over to us, and I told him how graceful of a swan this bartender us was. If you haven't eaten here at the bar and you're truly missed a great experience, although it seems like only a second.

Proportion of bread to burger is a no from me.

While the drink was fine, the bartender was fun and friendly. The pace was quick but not frenetic. Customers were in and out rather quickly, and the food seemed to follow the same pattern.

"I'd only get salmon if it can be prepared RARE." "Yes! It…read morecan be," replied our server. It wasn't. With that I deduct a star, but all told my meal was pretty darned good. String beans, not my favorite vegetable, were delicious -- crisp and very garlicky. The menu says 'almondine' but I don't think they were. The beet puree is a nice aesthetic touch, albeit lacking distinct flavor. T went with the restaurant's spin on pot pie. The filling (roast chicken, carrots, onions, peas, celery and potatoes) was excellent. The pastry topping, somewhat brittle. We chose the Hattery because I had one thing in mind: al fresco dining. There are maybe five tables on the patio out front. The restaurant was formerly a hat factory (no surprise), cigar shop, shoe store and speakeasy during prohibition. It's located on the first floor of the historic Doylestown Inn, which is still in operation. (Note my photo of the lobby.) The Hattery's menu isn't extensive, but I think they cover most bases. It's worth a look if you happen to be downtown. But don't order a margarita if it's some kind of fruit concoction. We both gave it thumbs down.

Heading to a different place for happy hour we got side tracked as we passed Gloria's and turned…read morearound to check it out. Glad we did! It is a huge place. Quite empty on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. I assume they get a younger crowd that works and comes later (we are retired). The happy hour menu impressed us. Speciality cocktails normally $15-ish were only $9. That got our attention. Plus $5 appetizers. Never see lemon drop martini, manhattan and expresso martinis on happy hour afterall. And those were our picks (3 of us). We were celebrating Mom's 93 birthday. For the $5. appetizers we picked pork spring rolls, potato chip nachos, and mozzarella sticks. The chips were the winner. BUT "never" get the spring rolls. Two very disappointing , tiny spring rolls that had a microscopic amount of pork. It was pathetic. Not even worth it for $5. I would stay away from those. Silly only two on the plate and there were 3 of us. Too small to share. Our server was efficent and sweet. She added to a nice happy hour. We enjoyed playing a few rounds of table shuffle board. Nice addition. The best part of our happy hour was a friendly couple (we just met them) at the bar surprised us and paid for a round of drinks since they heard it was my Mom's 93 birthday!! That surely made her day extra special and memorable.

Wings and the sweet heat sauce were pleasantly spicy--would get again. The service at the bar was definitely lacking. Grabbed my own menus from nearby even after the bartender acknowledge that I was sitting there. Took several minutes to get a drink, no water given, and several minutes with my credit card on the check to get it collected. The bar was full, 80%. And it's a large bar, but these are excuses. I'm intrigued by the food. So I will definitely be back again to check it out maybe at a table
