The dresses were sent to alterations by Vama, Sunday - a few adjustments and we left the boutique for a reception in our outfits. In essentially 48 outfits we went from having nothing to wear to having the perfect outfits. Plus accessories with the option for hair and make up. Vama does it all. What made this experience great - the owner is incredibly helpful and accommodating. The quality vs price was above anywhere else we went. The staff goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this boutique. Find the owner, tell her exactly what you want, and like magic - it will appear. Thank you ladies! We greatly appreciate everything you did for us. I called Samudra sarees took an appointment and reached at @7pm to buy a dress for an upcoming office event. I called while parking my car, and I was told to knock on the door for somebody from their home to attend to the door. In spite of confirming an appointment, this lady was not home. I knocked at the door, and somebody came by the door ( visible through hazed glass) and left without opening the door. When I try to ring the doorbell again it did not work though the light was going in circles (probably a setting to disable on RING). But I saw another camera to the right side of the door that illuminated for a bit and then went off (Either somebody was watching through the camera - or- it was motion enabled ). 6 mins passed and I called again to let Kiran know that nobody bothered to attend the front door. She said she is somewhere out running some errands and that her mom will open the door for me. I waited patiently until 7:15 pm and nobody opened the door. I am super annoyed by this time, I saw a car pulling out of their driveway with a bunch of people and nobody bothered to ask me why I am standing in front of their door. I messaged the lady that I'm leaving at 7:16 she called me at 7:36 PM that she opened the door and don't see anybody. Wondering how can a sensible person expect people to wait in front of their door for 30 mins. the funny part is she messages me after 1 hour blaming me that I was at the wrong address because she doesn't see anybody at the door. I responded back asking her to check her cameras, she has installed RING on the left side and a camera to the ceiling on the right side of her front door.

If you consider yourself a busy…read moreperson who needs someone to perform alterations within a specified time frame, AVOID Said with Threads and strongly consider going elsewhere. Her inability to properly schedule appointments and have projects completed on time disqualifies "Said with Threads, LLC" as a viable option for having clothing alterations performed. If you are an East Bay resident and need alterations performed, please read the rest of this review before scheduling an appointment with this establishment. I've been going to Eileen since December 2024. Online reviews looked good, and her shop was near my house, which made it convenient for me. I encountered an odd issue with her during my first visit. She had informed me my pants were ready for pickup, and I specified the day/time I would be coming in. When I went to her shop for pickup, I called, and she informed me she had gone to deliver an order for someone else because she didn't think I would appear on time. I was completely baffled as to why she reached this conclusion and why she admitted it verbally. Between September and October 2025, I had requested that she perform alterations on some pants. On this occasion I was charged the day I left the articles with her and was assured they'd be ready on the date she had specified. Prior to picking them up, I called Eileen and informed her I was on my way. When she answered, she told me my pants were not ready and that she hadn't even started working on them. I was quite upset over this since more than a week had passed since I'd left the pants with her. About a month later, I brought in a blazer she had worked on previously and asked her to reattach the buttons, as some of them had come loose. Although she did not charge me for this, she assured me the blazer would be ready on time. She failed to have the blazer ready on time when I went to her shop. I went to go run some errands for about an hour, and when I came back, she had finished working on my blazer. This indicated that she did not need more than a week to work on my blazer and had procrastinated or otherwise failed to make good use of her time. What frustrated me, however, was the condition in which she returned my blazer. It was covered in lint/hair/debris and had a strange odor to it. I had dry-cleaned it prior to leaving it with Eileen, and her utter lack of regard for keeping it clean really upset me. Most recently, during December 2025, I requested an appointment two days in advance. I wanted her to hem some pants I needed for work. She had agreed to meet me at 11 am on a Wednesday. On the day of the appointment, I called her to let her know I had arrived. When she answered, she told me she had mistakenly marked my appointment for a different time/day and had left to attend to another client.
