Was looking for traditional Indian clothing for my daughters Diwali celebration at school. Tried a place in Dublin, but it turned out they didn't have clothing for under 5 years old. Rather than give up, I searched for another nearby and drove over to Pleasanton to this cute little shop and I'm so grateful I did. The selection of kids clothing was amazing and the shop owner/employee was the sweetest. He showed me all the styles of lehengas, all of which were beautiful! I had the best shopping experience here!!! It started out with me just needing a petticoat and maybe a tikka. But Syed was so helpful that I ended up getting my saree tailored and a blouse. I actually came here four different times for the same outfit, and Sayed was extremely helpful all four times. He helped me pick out what would look best, and even helped me to put on my saree the day of my party, something that I couldn't have done so well on my own! His prices are very reasonable. Wouldn't go back there. A man was working there that day which I don't find really appropriate and he just didn't understand what we were looking for. The dresses he showed us were of low quality. He tried to show us a few pictures of dresses that were being shipped from Indian and he showed us a quite inappropriate picture of a lady stored in his phone by mistake obviously... An absolute gem of a place.Has brilliant collection of Indian/Pakistani ethnic wear.I believe in America no of ethnic wear stores where you can get tailored stylish saree blouses/ choli in choicable colors with a good variety without a Sari is really hard to find,but this store happily amazed me. They also have eBay and website which adds to the ease of ordering,the prices are reasonable. The owners- the beautiful elderly couple deserve a special mention,they were very nice,helpful,knowledgable and a pleasure to talk to.Though I stay in Sacramento I would be happy to return. read more

Great selection for gentlemen, as well as ladies. My wife went there to buy some stuff, and I somehow ended up with 2 new kurtas! Woohoo! They also have very nice kids outfits for both boys and girls (and babies/toddlers as well). Overall we were very happy with our purchases. Funny story: My wife was considering purchasing some fancy Indian sandals with embroidery and costume jewellery on them. My wife asked Syed if these shoes would be OK for everyday use, and whether or not the embroidery and jewels will last through normal usage. Syed said that the shoes are costume shoes, and their longevity depends on how they are worn. He then honestly told us that they are mainly for "1 time use", and are for special occasions such as weddings/receptions. We appreciated the honesty, and bought them, knowing that they will probably fall apart in a few months. So far, my wife has worn them 3-4 times and they are still perfect. The location is somewhat hidden - they are located in the back of the "Black Avenue Professional Offices" plaza. If you drive too fast or not paying attention, you can easily miss the entrance to the plaza. Also, they are in the BACK building; not the front building facing the street. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. They carry very nice sarees and other Indian cloths. But what I like the most about this place is how the owner really takes care of the products. I have been to other Indian clothing stores and have seen how others just keep the sarees anyhow. Sarees are not cheap in the US, and if I am spending so much money on sarees, I don't want to buy stuff that was once (or many more times) lying on the floor or wherever. Lets just start by saying the owner of this place deserves 5 stars himself! It was my first time Indian clothe shopping for a party, and guess what.. I waited last minute! It's Saturday and it was 7 hours before the party and I went shop to shop looking for a lengha! I ran out of hope after the 4th store. I googled more places and this Shieno shop came up. I drove there and entered a small store. This store has MORE THAN ENOUGH! I didn't know where to start. The owner of the place helped me with size, color, and even styling! He helped me pin the scarf and tuck it in place and I was literally there for 2 hours trying clothes on. He helped me through the whole thing without any hesitation. I felt bad I was taking so much time, but at the end I was more thank a happy shopper. I picked a BEAUTIFUL lengha and couldn't be more satisfied.
