Since the remodel, we really like the Roost. We shared a roast beef wrap and it was really good. We expected it to be warm - it was served cold and once we got over the surprise, it was really good. Stopped by to grab a beer and snack, never been to this bar before. Walked in, sat at the bar, no waiting. Was greeted by pleasant bar tender. Very nice bar with plenty of seating and lots of things to do, play pool, slot machines, and jukebox. Wasn't too loud, nice music playing. Watched the first game if the season on the big screened tvs above the bar and throughout the place. They have QR codes for viewing both the drink and food options. They are planting of craft beers on tap. I had a pint of the Kona Gold Pale Ale and Mug of The boneless spicy chicken wings with Buffalo sauce were nicely prepared along with the fries and carrot and celery sticks. The Cobb Salad was awesome with the blue cheese dressing. May make this a regular drinking spot. read more

This restaurant was a great place to watch football, with an awesome smash burger! Loved all the tv screens for any game you want to see. The onion ring sauce is a don't miss! The waitress was very attentive and even helped us with deciding which sides we should get. The fun sports vibe is fun on a college day Saturday! The managers are extremely rude. Went in to order drinks and waited 10 minutes till the manager helped us, she took our ID's and started questioning us (we had both just got off work and were meeting some friends for a drink). She then proceeded to disappear with our ID's until we asked someone else what was going on. Then another manager came up and told us she wouldn't serve us. Absolutely ridiculous considered we saw people stumbling out of the bar. read more

This place is horrendous from the service to how customers are treated. I have been here about 15 times and every time nobody seems to know what is going on in their own place of business the management is terrible and lack luster especially on game nights after 15 visits I have about had it I'd rather drive 35 minutes into San Antonio than dine or drink here. We just left here because they did not want to accept our newly issued drivers license, Texas made new licenses and my husband and I just got married so I got a name change and we were required to get the new state license. They denied us to get alcohol because the bartenders could not "scan" the ids. Fine we understand but why make us wait 30 minutes with not even offering to get us other drinks or food. Starting off, I had issues with the QR codes for the menu and I had to ask for a real menu. My server told me that they had a spicy pomegranate margarita which sounded good so I ordered one. It just tasted like margarita mix so I was unimpressed. I then ordered the mild Buffalo boneless wing bites which were also underwhelming. The menu states that the smash burger and the boneless bites come with tots. The server failed to mention that they were out of tater tots until I asked why I had fries as my side. It would have been nice to have a heads up about not being able to get the tots as a side. read more

This place is just what we needed around here! Service is great and the food is limited however, it's great because they can specialize in food that taste delicious! We have been there a couple of times and most recently we got there with 1 minute to spare before the kitchen closed. The bartender worked their magic and got to order us the smash burgers which were phenomenal!! The tator tot nachos were changed up and were like fries but those are the best fries I have had! Smash burgers? The best that I have had in the area! Juicy and full of flavor, not too greasy. The fries are also good, they seem to be made from scratch and not the frozen restaurant type. The only suggestion I have, is the salad is amazing, but the dressings, how about some good home-made dressing? Prices are a bit high for a burger, but I can imagine that the rent for this corner location is high, so I understand. Service is great! Drinks, great! Easy access from I-10. Lots of TVs, great for watching sports. The menu is limited with a few tasty options. Service is ok (on two different occasions food orders were forgotten, getting better as they are newly opened), service is a little better (faster, more attentive) when sitting at the bar. First, I'm not really into the whole "sports bar" thing, so this may have rated higher if I was. However, the new owner has completely revamped the place and if a sports bar is indeed your type of thing, the ambiance of this place will work for you. The food is good and not ridiculously priced. Having grown up in Northern New Jersey, I'm a bit of a pizza snob, so I'm really hard to please towards that end. While the pizza is OK, it'll be a pass for me from now on; the crust just doesn't make it. We've been a few times and the service is a little inconsistent. It really depends upon who your server is. I chalk this off to them being somewhat new and clearly some of the wait staff were new to being servers. This is something I expect will improve.
