From the moment we walked into our first trip to TJ's on our Silver Wedding Anniversary, we were impressed. Jarod at the bar went above and beyond to make us feel special in addition to making tasty cocktails and having good conversation. The views are gorgeous of Lake Winnebago. The cheese curds and sauce were outstanding. My husband's ribeye with hash browns and asparagus were the best he's had in years. My seafood pasta entree was delicious and full of scallops and shrimp. Huge portions. We had made reservations on the second floor with spectacular views. Our server, Whitney, also went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner special. My wife had the bbq pork with I believe were homemade chips, in which she said were very good, I had the gumbo which was very good and the Gorgonzola burger, this had to be one of the best burger I have ever eaten. Came in town for a Friday afternoon reunion lunch with my college friends. The decor is modern rustic and the outdoor area was perfect right on the lake. I just don't understand how a place that advertises a Friday night fish fry cannot locate their walleye. The waitress seriously said that. So I ordered what I thought was grilled perch and was served a huge plate of waffle fries with breaded fish stacked on top. Thankfully the waitress was patient and understood my surprise. She suggested another plate with a true grilled fish, broccoli and rice. The fish was great but the greens limp with oil. I can't say enough good things about TJ's Harbor Restaurant. It's such a nice place with the best food, yet it feels so relaxed and is VERY reasonably priced. The atmosphere is amazing! Located on the water it was a gorgeous view from our table on the patio. Our waitress was so great too. Then there was the food. The cheese curds, the clam chowder, the beer and wine selection, the salmon (the best ever), the burgers, the desserts, EVERYTHING we tried was delicious!!! This place is a staple for us. First off, the atmosphere of this restaurant is nothing that any other restaurant in the area has. Their industrial, modern and beachy vibe make it worth going to alone. Their large concrete bar is beautiful! My husband and I are amazed every time we go. Secondly, their food is very good. I've never had a disappointing meal at TJ's. Whether it be chicken tacos, a shrimp po boy, simple hamburgers, or an ahi tuna wrap, it's all delicious. The summer is one of the best times to go. They have a large outdoor eating and bar area that's accessible to lake winnebago. We've brought the boat over a time or two to stop and have margaritas! They also offer many options for gluten free that taste just as good as the real deal! read more

We arrived at 6:30pm and were seated quickly by the hostess. Our server, Drew, got us drinks and then a few minutes later asked if we would like to order an appetizer. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip. It came up about 10 minutes later and it was okay, definitely the best food item we got. We waited another 20 minutes after our appetizer was served and Drew asked us if we "want to order entrees" and when we said yes, asked if we were ready to? It felt a bit dismissive. Well, we just waited a half hour to order our meals, so we ordered the poké bowl and the blackened mahi tacos with a cup of gumbo. The rice in the bowl and gumbo was undercooked and the gumbo was more like a broth soup. The tortillas for the tacos hadn't been warmed in any way and were cold, like they'd just been pulled from the bag and it kind of ruined the tacos.. had the tortillas been grilled, it really would have really set the tacos off in my opinion. The Chipotle Pineapple Marg was the highlight of our visit. We most likely will not go out of our way to return here which is a bummer because I'd been dying to try this place but the overall experience was lackluster. read more

We were charged extra for all the ranch each person got with their meal, the waitress did not let us know it was an up charge for ranch and several other things. Yes, it's only 50 cents for ranch, but it's the principle on letting us know that it costs extra rather than just bringing us 5 of them! I came for dinner with my dad and brother during a visit to Oshkosh about a week ago. We arrived at around 8:20 pm, and the restaurant was not crowded. There are two floors. The bar and patio are on the lower level, and there is additional seating upstairs with a beautiful view of Lake Winnebago. The menu has a good selection of seafood dishes, along with other options. I ordered linguine with chicken in a fiery tequila lime sauce. The sauce was tasty, but it was spicy enough to slow down my eating pace slightly. I enjoyed it, but If you're sensitive to spicy food, I would recommend choosing a different dish. My brother ordered salmon with linguine in a white truffle sauce, and my dad tried the arctic char special, which was served with gnocchi and vegetables. Both of them thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our server was efficient and kept our water glasses filled. I have no complaints. For anyone requiring handicap access: the main entrance is situated on a landing between the two dining levels, and you must walk up or down stairs to sit at a table. I didn't see a ramp, but I may have missed it. If you are determined enough, I believe you could go through the grass to the back of the restaurant and enter through the patio on the lower level. Overall, this was a fabulous place to eat. I highly recommend it. read more

This is a quaint spot for Sunday brunch. We started with the homemade donuts that were amazing. The traditional eggs Benedict was a favorite with the group. The seasoning was unique with a nice zesty taste. The view was amazing overlooking the water even in the winter. The staff was friendly and attentive. We are foodies and eat everywhere. This was some of the most average food I have ever had (we were dying laughing at how the nachos are served in a rusty, yes rusty, tin pan). The drinks were horrible (simple syrup. No craft cocktails here). Not worth the money. It's the worst feeling ever when you leave after spending $60 and find yourselves saying how bad the food and drinks were. However, this place can get away with having sub-par food and drinks because of the view and deck/patio! Its what people crave nowadays. I recommend going elsewhere for good food and drinks. If you want to enjoy the weather and watch a game, TJs is the place. Stick with a Tito's soda or a beer. PS: my 8 year old sister could make a better burger. I was not aware of this amazing restaurant between Oshkosh and Fond Du Lac. I checked Yelp for Friday Fish Fry (it was a Friday) and it came up. I was so impressed!! Super cold winter night, fireplace was stocked with burning wood, amazing atmosphere! Beautiful newer building. Amazing service and the food was excellent. We sat on the upper level. Looked like a great view of the lake, but it was nighttime for us. I had the baked Haddock and my friend had beer battered. Also had the crab cakes, excellent!!! TJ's Harbor is an absolutely awesome place to get drinks and appetizers on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh! I recommend their cheese curds; they're long and irresistible. Also, share a bowl of loaded tortilla chips while you're at it! I have never had an entree here, but how delicious and fulfilling the appetizers were made the review worth writing. Might I add, the view of the lake is just gorgeous when sitting at the bar. Service was fantastic! I can't remember names of servers outside my state, but it was very laid back. I'm shooting for another visit when I come back to WI next year for sure. read more

This place has beautiful decor. It has a beautiful view. On a gorgeous day like today in August 85 degrees outside it was great to have an option to sit outside on the patio with an umbrella for shade and eat. You could see it was a popular place and especially for people who were on a boat who could dock their boats and get some food. There was even a few dogs outside on the patio which makes me want to go back and take my puppy! I got a blackberry, apple, spinach and blue cheese wrap with fries which you can make that option wrap, a salad, or a salad with soup. It was very good! They don't have many vegetarian options, but what I had was good. Would definitely recommend. It's a little in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. read more
