Portions here go crazy. The sandwich was delicious. Lightly toasted bread but not so much that it was cutting up my mouth. All ingredients tasted fresh. The side salad was also great! Overall a perfect sunny day lunch. Would definitely come back to explore more of the menu!

I was the only Black customer in the establishment, and both bartenders made eye contact with me when I walked in, so I know I was seen. I sat at my usual table near the coin machine and waited. And waited. For exactly nineteen minutes, I sat there patiently while both bartenders glanced in my direction multiple times. No one approached me. No one asked if I wanted a drink, a menu, or any assistance at all. When I finally got up to leave, they saw me walk out just as clearly as they saw me walk in. I've never experienced a moment where I felt so unwelcome in a business I've supported. I'm not a young man, nor am I old -- but I do know when my presence isn't wanted. After today, I will not patronize JP's Tavern ever again. I will kindly spend my money elsewhere.
