    Club sandwich with Turkey
    Linda M.

Loooove!!! We were in the neighborhood for a marriage counseling appt. We needed a quick lunch and found TJs! Loooooved it. The two people there were so sweet and welcoming. It's literally like a mom made you your sandwich. Yes it's simple maybe too simple but sometimes that's the best thing!! The place is very cute and I'll def be back when I'm in the neighborhood!!

Tj's Submarines gives you exactly what you're looking for in a sub! The chewy, soft bread and fresh ingredients make these sandwiches perfect. The shop is clean, very well-kept and has a unique and charming vibe. They were quick to take my order and get it out to me. If I lived in the area, this would be my regular spot for a quick, delicious lunch!

Best sandwich in town. Beautiful power couple working the station! Please be sure to stop by and enjoy a delicious sub. Good quality grub. Soon as you walk in there are awesome newspapers displayed. 10/10 would definitely come again. I ordered the Turkey blt. Which the good sir suggested. Glad I trusted his instincts, it's like he took one look at me and knew what I'd like

My favorite local sandwich shop. Been coming here for years. Family owned. Owners are very nice and always welcoming. I always get the same sandwich because that's how good it is. I never want anything else. I order their turkey bacon sandwich with everything on it add mustard. I love how they crumble their bacon. Bacon in every bite. I do miss their chicken soup. I hope they bring it back. Small shop. Tables available inside. Always clean. Quiet. Highly recommend!

Clean and cozy mom and pop sub sandwich shop. I love the old school feeling of this place. The proprietor a older gentleman and I believe his wife. What I like it's not a subway or Jimmy John's type so patients waiting for your order. These kind of establishments are key to the community. So the subs come in 6 in or 10 inch the menu board is old school so ask what come in your sandwich. These are made to order so it makes it great. They have a vegetarian sandwich that's cool ! Nice looking sandwich and first bite. Mmmm I like it it is good very good well made taste fresh better then the the chain shops. I had the pastrami no mustard don't judge lol pickles and a dash of mayo. My wife got Mestball sub. She has only had subway and made her own. The sub is good marinara sauce is good out does subway. Cleanliness = 8 Quality = 8 Taste = 9 Customer service = 8 Packaging = 8 Overall = 9 I would come back

When you're craving an old-school style hoagie and a real sub sandwich spot, it seems like the usual suspects of mass produced, average sub sandwich shops exist too frequently. Luckily, places like TJ's still exist and are the reason why you should absolutely support non-chain and local businesses. I stumbled across this sub shop while looking and craving for a sandwich spot. Thanks to Yelp I was able to discover it as I regularly visit from out of town. These sandwiches always hit the spot and are made with love. Personally, my favorite is the club sandwich and the cool thing is any of the subs can be made as salads. They have a nice variety of sandwiches as well as chips to pair with your subs. There is plenty of indoor dining and is a fantastic spot for lunch. From every visit I notice there is a steady stream of regulars for lunch and that's fantastic to see. I love finding local spots like this. You can also order ahead if you're on a time crunch, but they do a great job of making your subs in a timely manner whether it's for to go or dining in. Definitely would strongly recommend!

I almost always order the Mini Club on herb bread, and the sandwiches are consistently fresh. The ingredients taste fresh, the bread is good, and the restaurant itself is always clean. My biggest complaint is the price. While the food is good, it feels expensive for what you get. My mini sub and a bag of chips came out to over $12, and the sandwich is only about four inches long. Even a bag of chips is around $2.50, so the cost adds up quickly. The other thing I'd like to see improved is hand hygiene. I've noticed employees sometimes go from working the cash register back to making sandwiches. While they may put on a fresh pair of gloves, I'd personally prefer to see handwashing before handling food again. That's just my opinion, but it's something I pay attention to, especially when it comes to food preparation. Overall, the food is fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the sandwiches are consistently good. I just wish the prices were a little more reasonable and that there was a stronger emphasis on hand hygiene.

Since it was our first time (thanks to tik tok!), Henry went over the menu and shared his personal favorites as well as the most popular among customers. He did tell us they are known for their sandwiches. We went with one breakfast burrito and the granada sandwich, respectfully. We had them cut in half too. We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor! We got jalapeño aioli as a dipping sauce and man oh man was it good! We will definitely be returning! And honestly, I can't wait! Some notes: If you need to use the restroom, you gotta head over to the movie theater across the way as Monty's does not have a public restroom. Be patient as there is a wait time. Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

It was absolutely delicious, and the 50% sugar level was perfect. It was just sweet enough to bring out the flavors without overpowering the tea itself. The mango and guava notes were a bit subtle, but they paired wonderfully with the delicate oolong tea, creating a refreshing and well balanced drink. The lychee jelly was also a great addition, adding a little extra texture and sweetness with every sip. I'd also say this jelly was softer than the typical jelly I've gotten, which I really liked. The shop can get pretty busy, probably because they really do offer a little bit of everything. Besides drinks, they have a food menu that seemed surprisingly popular during my visit.
