The food here is good not great. The cafe de olla is great. Unfortunately when you get coffee you get only two little creamers one French vanilla and one original. The chilaquiles are always crisp but the steak is chewy and the salsa is very bland. The bacon strips are tiny and overall not good for the price. It's not the cleanest place. We hadn't been here in a while but this place continues to be great. We arrived and we were promptly seated, we order the cafe de olla and the coffee had a great flavor. My mom asked for a hotter cup and they happy to bring her another cup. Both of our dishes were delicious the chilaquiles salsa was tasty and the chips were crunchy. I have to highlight their meat as it was very soft and it actually came medium rare as ordered. They came and refilled our coffee and checked in on us multiple times. Arrived and seatings appear to be available but there was still a waiting period and people that were seated didn't even have menus in hand until minutes later. They seem overwhelmed by balance the restaurant and family stuff at the same time. Several of us waited to even be greeted. There seems to be plenty of staff but the food was completely undercooked. It was rushed out. I couldn't eat the potatoes, they were legit not cooked enough. I really hope this was a bad day bc this vet deserves to have their dream be successful. I chose this cafe due to the good reviews and wanting to support locally owned businesses. Sadly, it was a bad experience all around. I wasn't greeted when I entered. I came in around noon and the looks I got from the employees made me feel unwelcomed. As if they were tired of working all morning and annoyed they still had customers to serve. I ordered potato chilaquiles and my friend ordered a breakfast sandwich that came with potatoes. All the potatoes were undercooked and slightly firm. We weren't able to eat them unfortunately. The cafe de olla was tiny and lukewarm. I paid using the portable ATM box and requested a receipt. The machine said someone would bring it to me but no one came and I felt completely ignored. No greeting, bad service and mediocre food, topped off with no acknowledgment of my patronage at the end was such a horrible experience. Not recommended. read more

They have a lot of parking around this time, noon, and the people inside were super nice! Very friendly and welcoming. I love places like that. The ambiance of the place felt very 'homie'. I ordered buttermilk pancakes with over medium eggs and bacon. The eggs and bacon were perfect! The pancakes were also good but didn't really taste like buttermilk pancakes. Seems like they added cinnamon to their mix and the cakes were a little under cooked. I'd come back and maybe try something else on their menu. Perhaps the breakfast sandwich?? The breakfast is very clean and yummy I've been here a handful of times and it's pretty consistent. My only complaints are that the customer service is ok not great but ok. The times I've came in to grab some breakfast I've encountered two different servers and aren't genuinely nice. It's almost a dry sarcastic fake nice . Also it's been more than once I'm over charged so always double check your receipt. And there has been times I've called to order for pick up and they are terrible at answering the phone . I've been wanting to try this place for a while and honestly I'm upset I didn't try it sooner. The setup inside is super cute. Veteran owned which is a plus. Their service was amazing and food came out pretty fast (altho considering the time we were the only ones in). My mother loved the café de olla and said she would come back just for the coffee. The raspberry lemonade and orange juice were good but they weren't fresh. The fresh toast were so flavorful and so were the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles weren't spicy which I loved because I cant eat any type of spice. The green salsa they add on top had a tiny bit of spice though. I have had friends recommend this place to me and after reading the Yelp reviews decided to give it a go. It's incredible how hit or miss this place is based on the reviews. I gave this place a shot hoping for the pluses that I was reading in all the reviews and was disappointed. I arrived around 12:30 with the family today (about one hour before they closed) and was seated immediately. I ordered the French toast with bananas and chocolate chips, bacon, and two eggs over easy. The missus ordered the chilaquiles (vegetarian), and my kiddo ordered a sandwich (turkey and bacon) with fries. Chilaquiles came out first. The missus was disappointed as it was very dry and there was no salsa on it. Fortunately, there was a bottle of salsa at the table, but even then, it was a miss. She also got the food way before the rest of us. About five minutes later, I get the two eggs and the bacon (not the French toast yet). The eggs were over well and the bacon was bacon. After I was done with the eggs and the bacon, 3-4 minutes later, the French toast came out. The French toast was, at best, average. Nothing made it stand out too much. That's about 8-9 minutes now after the missus got her plate and I got my food. My kiddo didn't get her food for another 3 minutes after I got my French toast, which I found odd, as it should have been the quickest to make in my opinion. My kiddo ate it all and didn't complain. I can't tell you how it tasted, just know it took 15+ minutes to get. I was really hoping for the best, but I am disappointed. read more

The restaurant looked clean when you first walked in. Friendly staff. However, my husband went to the restroom where he passed by a dead roach on the floor and found a live baby one in the restroom. He came back and told me. I could see the roach on the floor from our table. We then got our food. I took 2 bites before I saw another baby roach crawling on the wall near us. This is one of those places where I am surprised by the difference in stars vs. how I felt about this place. I was between a 2 and 3 star but to give the benefit of the doubt, will give a 3 star for now. I came with a friend around 930 on a Saturday, and was relatively unpacked so we got seated immediately. But of course, could always be a bad day so cannot hold them too accountable for that. For the foods, I personally got their wet chorizo burrito and my friend got their banana pecan pancakes with sausage and egg. The wet chorizo burrito was a 6.5/10. In terms of the general flavor, it was not too bad. The egg was relatively well seasoned, but honestly I could not taste the chorizo whatsoever, so it became just a basic breakfast burrito for me. The most surprising part to me which I never usually feel, was that the sauce was way too strong. I love myself a good wet burrito, but the sauce was just too overpowering and honestly ruined it for me. Finally, although I did not get to try the pancakes, my friend was very put off with the multiple strands of hair that was found in it, and ended up not being able to finish it due to both the disgust factor of it as well as the lack of flavor in the foods.
