Just met TK( Travis) Plumbing and his assistant Neil and they are two outstanding individuals. Called TK Plumbing yesterday and asked,( if possible), to set an appointment for this morning. He juggled his schedule to accommodate a next day- morning meeting. The pluming problem I was facing was a clogged cast iron kitchen drain ( 60 year old cast iron drain pipe) . Travis and I discussed options. One of which was to remove a complete section of cast iron and replace it with ABS piping material. Travis quoted a very fair price to do this work and sent his quote instantly to my phone. When asked what his availability would be to start this work, Travis replied, Now! Lets get it done now! Amazing "get it done" attitude. Two hours later the problem was solved. Travis also shared knowledge and insight on a number of other plumbing related questions that I had. We discussed the care and maintenances of tank less water heaters, Travis and Neil solved a hot water/water pressure problem with the kitchen sink ( no charge) and for an addition cost ( that asked for), they "snaked" the main kitchen drain to ensure the problem would not reoccur. I called TK Plumbing to install a gas line for a fire pit in my backyard. Travis answered my call and set up an appointment during the call. He arrived on time and was able to assess what I needed right away. He clearly explained the entire process and offered a reasonable price after answering all my questions. When the job began, he and his partner, Kevin, arrived at the scheduled time. They got right to work and did not stop until the job was finished. While they were there, I also had them change the pressure valve for the house after Travis brought to my attention water pressure was dangerously high. I was grateful Travis had taken the time to check the pressure since this could have caused considerable damage to my plumbing. This too, was handled efficiently. We had a problem with water in our condo under the carpet. Thought we fixed the problem and left for a day. A day later the problem still existed. Couldn't figure it out. Found TK Plumbing online because we thought they could do both leak detection and repair the plumbing. We are very happy we did. Travis arranged for the leak detection through his contacts and arrived immediately to investigate the problem. After researching the problem they discovered a leak in the wall in the hot water system. Travis repaired the leak and through his contacts got a water damage company to come in and clean up the water. Travis was very professional and has all the contacts he recommends. He was very prompt and assured the other workers met with our satisfaction. He was extremely reasonable and also repaired a toilet flange while he was there. I called Travis at TK Plumbing after discovering a water leak originating from a water pipe going into the slab inside the wall between our bathroom and garage. He explained that the first step would be to pinpoint the leak, then determine whether bypassing the line would be a more affordable option. He recommended a reputable leak detection company that showed up the same day I called. They determined that it was located underneath the bathroom sink and tile floor. I called Travis and he came over at 6:30 p.m., capped of the leaking pipe, turned our water back on, and explained the options. The following day, he returned w/ his partner, rerouted the pipe, and (at my request) installed water & sewer connections to enable installation of a utility sink in the garage. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of work and affordable cost. Travis did an excellent job of repairing a challenging leak in the PVC irrigation pipe in my front yard, and I highly recommend his services. Travis is professional in every way, honest, sincere, and a most impressive businessman. There are a number of high-profile plumbers in North County, and I'm sure they are very good. However, for your next plumbing job, give TK Plumbing a chance to at least bid on your project. Some of these high-profile organizations may have a showroom, an office or answering service and may seem to be the one to hire. Travis seems to be more of a lean operation. After reading the reviews that Travis received on Yelp, I decided to give him a call on a Sunday afternoon for a leak that I had on my old cooper water lines as I installed a new facet in the kitchen. He immediately picked up and offered to come out, but I told him Monday would be fine as I knew this wasn't an emergency situation. He showed up on Monday and was very professional and replaced two valves at a reasonable price and was very prompt within his time window he provided me, courteous and neat. The work was done right and came with a guarantee. In addition, I had him check my hall toilet tank which was over 10 years old, but he said everything checked out fine and did not try to sell me something that I didn't need. I've lived in our apartment complex the longest so when something goes wrong I'm usually making the calls to the landlord. Over the weekend the hot water heater for the laundry room broke and started leaking water everywhere. The landlord called their usual plumber (who ups their prices for the weekend) and they said they couldn't make it out until Monday. Kind of disappointing... Travis is the owner/operator at TK Plumbing. He answers his own phone and was able to arrive asap. I purchased a new toilet for him to install, but upon inspection he told me that a new one was not needed. That saved me a lot of money! He offered a solution for my garbage disposal problem, again saving me money. He inspected another possible toilet problem, but determined that it was OK. He gave helpful advise for future possible toilet replacements, if/when needed. Travis ended up replacing my 1988 pressure regulator for a very reasonable price. We needed two sets of faucets replaced in our master bathroom - they were leaking so badly we just turned the water off! Called TKP, and they told us immediately exactly how to contact Delta to get free replacement parts because of our new home warranty. Travis was recommended by a friend when we had a pipe leak. He came out the same day we called him and he found/fixed the leak in no time. We were so pleased with his service that when it was time for us to change our water heater, he was the only person we called. Just finished up with a weekend emergency where needed to get a plumber out to fix my refrigerator water line so that I could get my new refrigerator installed. He came out the next day, on Sunday, fixed it within 30 minutes and saved me a lot of grief. He even checked my water pressure while here. Highly recommend this organization. Very PLEASED!!! Had Travis and Kevin from TK Plumbing connect my Gas Grill to my Natural Gas line on the outside of my house. They were fast and efficient in adding an in-line shut-off valve to my Natural Gas line and then connecting it to my Gas Grill. We had a leak in one of our bathroom sink valves that could not be shut off. Even though it was during the week of Christmas, Travis was able to arrive and complete the work within a few hours (including repairing the leak and assessing and replacing other sink and toilet valves throughout the house).
