It appears that the sealing was not done properly as part of the preparation. This is the 2nd incident I experienced. Update: a door they did was damaged. Down a star. Don't use these people they're incompetent. Final paint and repair is poor, they're slow to get contract finalized and went significantly over budget and didn't haul all trash. It's not what I expect from contractors. Full info below: I contracted TKO to paint a house and repair wall damage. It took about two weeks to get contract signed and altered for clarification of work and correct my name. This is something that shouldn't take two weeks. The quote was off by 30% of final price, I wasn't notified until the final bill, this came as a surprise. They said they'd fix a spindle mount, but did not fix it and did not charge me. Finally they moved wall mounted equipment without permission notification or approval to. Lastly we found several bags of trash they did not haul. However, painting was done with no internal paint mess on floor and to a standard below my expectations. Hire clowns instead at least they'll be funny. read more

We are extremely happy with the exterior painting project performed by TKO Painting. We were somewhat familiar with TKO from years past when we had considered them for outside painting but went with a different company. We interviewed and received bids from 5 different companies this time around and chose TKO for our outside painting, fence staining and side gate replacements. Troy and Victor managed the job, including generous sets of paint samples/swaths, changing paint selections and consistent quality control. This was the best exterior paint job we have ever experienced. The TKO prep and paint team was led by Rigo, who constantly inspected and attended to any paint issues or artifacts that he deemed necessary. Rigo's efforts resulted in our final inspection being extremely easy. The team's attitude was great with respect to our endless questions, requested touch-ups, and pro-active effort. They were very straightforward, honest, communicative and responsive throughout all phases of our project. Our contract estimated the job duration at two weeks, and was very specific in terms of what was included and what was not. The job was completed in the two week period. There were a few changes to the original scope of work, and Troy fairly adjusted the total price of the project accordingly. And I would say I'm normally a very tough person to please! They are super busy, but they're worth the persistence it may take to meet with them. They were middle of the road in pricing. About $3,000 less than our top bid. Their crew was timely, clean, responsible, respectful, efficient, & hard working. We hired Troy to turn a den into a primary bathroom with stunning custom vanity and extensive tile work, complete face lift for the kitchen including repainting cabinets, additional custom cabinets around the fridge, new counter top, kitchen sink, extensive tile work, lighting and new painting outside and inside. We used his design team, "Seventh Street Interiors" Tiffany and Alexis to assist us with the multiple design choices that were needed for this renovation and they were great. The most awesome contractor associated with our major home remodeling effort was TKO (and we had a good team, but TKO was extraordinarily good). Troy came in for a thorough visit, gave us some good ideas, and then came back with the most affordable estimate (the job was painting our entire downstairs, the stairway, and all of the common areas on the second floor). Scheduling the job was straightforward, and they were responsive to our need dates. The team doing the work were thorough, and interacted well both with the other contractors who were in and out, and also with us. The quality of the paint job was quite good and looks great (including taking some of the previously stained wood to the white or grey shades we were using). And what put TKO head and shoulders over any other contractor was he post-painting check-up. Troy told us to live in the house for a few weeks, take blue masking tape, and mark up any tiny mark in the paint that we see that would annoy us later. TKO could do all the things I needed - the plaster, the patching, and even came up with a solution for fixing a skylight shaft that was messed up years ago when the skylight was replaced.
