When on a vacation with slight working, what do you do when trying to wait out a torrential downpour? Get a pedicure. Our feet work hard for us every single day. Our toes suffer when being crammed into stinky flats, restricted boots and uncomfortable (yet we always say they're a cozy fit) heels. Our heels..we won't go there...they suffer tremendously during the summer months. Fact. I randomly drove by TLC when in search for a Starbucks and got sidetracked by gnarly nail polish that had been long forgotten prior to the vacation. I walked inside and was immediately greeted and taken back to a seat. For a nail salon and spa, TLC is tops. The ceilings are high and the space is clean and wide open. The walls are painted with warmth and the smooth sounds of classic lounge music filled the air. For a rainy day it seemed pretty perfect. I sat down for one of the best pedicures I've ever received. The attention to detail and overall care of your skin is ever present. The technician/owner (I've forgotten his name) was friendly and offered a beverage while he worked. In record time, he thoroughly massaged and worked the kinks out. Filed down the nails and buffed them out evenly. I'm a standard French kind of girl and more times than most technicians always paint an overly large white strip. Not here, the nail was elegantly lined and rather than bringing the pale pink over the white he carefully left it just under the white. While my toes were drying a group came in and was offered beverages as well. Water, Wine, Champagne...vodka...This truly is a spa that caters to an unrushed and comfortable experience. If I lived in the area, I most definitely would become a regular here. The manicure came out to $40 with tip which for that type of care and detail is well worth it. It was fine. But, given the dozens of nail salons within 3 miles, I won't be back. Expensive, and my tech, (clearly not the person everyone says is great, and the female that did my daughter's mani pedi was so sweet, and hers turned out beautifully) had a annoyed attitude and was rude, so I just had him do my toes and cancelled the mani I had scheduled because I didn't want him to handle my nails. I get my nails/toes done every few weeks here in town and in comparison this $50 spa pedi was lame for basically my polish removed (PAINFULLY - with the sander they use for acrylic fills - it burned like he was filing through to my skin) and repainted - it was not a "deluxe/spa" pedi, the wrap, massage, etc upgrade part was maybe a 5 minute extra hot towel that really didn't make it deluxe or different from a regular pedi. read more

My friend and I came here after reading the Yelp reviews while on vacation. She owns a vacation home down here and she will now be recommending this to her entire family and anyone renting her vacation home. We wish that we could take this salon back with us to the Washington DC area. Brian, Little Kim and the entire staff were so sweet and accommodating. We called right before close hoping to sneak in a last minute appointment and they stayed open just for us. They serve beverages, including wine to their patrons which is a really nice touch and the ambiance, decor and music are all very well done and relaxing. Each manicure and pedicure station has the option to drop down a curtain for a private setting for small or larger parties which is wonderful. Everything is very clean and well kept. I went in after working a 12 hour shift for a pedi with gel toes and back fill on a Saturday & 5:00pm. I was a little worried after having a very bad experience with an asian salon that used Chinese products that caused a nasty nail infection. After seeing the great reviews and seeing this beautiful oasis. I am happy to report that this salon exceeded my expectations. They were very clean and had a wonderful selection of name brand products. The english speaking vietnamese family that run this salon really work till you are happy. They actually fixed my nails that had been put on by a very inexperienced nail tech. The gentleman that did my nails stayed an hour after close with me to finish. Only time will tell but I have received several comments already for my holiday nails. I will be returning soon. read more

Meh. The prices were good, but they didn't let me choose my gel polish until my nails were being worked so I couldn't even take my time to look through what they had. My fill was so so and they look very thick. The nail tech blamed the nail separation from the acrylic (after we were finished) on me wanting my nails to be shorter, which is not a legitimate excuse! I have been a patron since TLC opened in 2013. I get my nails done at least twice a month. They are always clean, friendly and they do a great job. I have my favourite techs but they all do a great job. I live on the opposite side of town, and have tried other salons very close to my house and they do not do as nice of a job as TLC. This was a beautiful nail salon, but I left here quite disappointed. I've been to probably 15 different nail salons in the area, and this was one of my least favorites. I went here to meet a friend for a mani and pedi. They don't offer dip nails, which is all I've done for the past year so I ended up going with shellac for both hands and feet. Pedicure was among the worst I've ever had, and it seemed very rushed. I can understand if I was a walk in, but we had an appointment. Not including tip my total was I believe $90 which is just ridiculous. My nails lasted a full 2 weeks but um always very careful with trying not to chip shellac. My friend had multiple nails chip after just a few days. Would not return here, much better options in the area for cheaper. read more

In town on business and had to stop in to get my nails repaired. Everyone was so nice and provided excellent service. They made me feel like they wanted to make my nails look as good as possible. Went here for the second time for a full set, this time a lady did my nails instead of Peter, but I definitely would recommend setting up an appointment with Peter instead. He did my acrylics during my first visit and he took his time and they came out nearly perfect. This time some of my nails were a little wonky and crooked, and the shape of the nails on my thumbs are completely different. It felt as though she was rushing it. I've had Peter as my nail technician and unfortunately my nails were not perfect. I usually do the gel Manicure. The first time, I had lumps on one nail when I left. The third time, one nail wasn't filed quite so smoothly and promptly snagged and started to rip. I ran into the salon to show him and he was naturally distracted by a full salon and the fact that he was in the middle of an appointment with another client. I totally understood and didn't expect him to drop everything. under the circumstances I was more than willing to wait until he had a few minutes. I was told to come back the next day but to call ahead first. With a nail in the process of ripping, that was pretty hard to do but, I held it together with tape and made an appointment. I arrived for my appointment on time to find that he had just taken another client and on a work day, i was unable to wait. He never even acknowledged me. Frustrated over the drama for one nail, I just left. Won't go back. This is a nail salon. Naples has hundreds of them. read more

I was so disappointed with my first visit here. I went in wanting a full set of acrylics & the nail tech convinced me to try out their new dip powder instead. So of course I give in & say yes. LITERALLY THE NEXT DAY 2 NAILS CAME OFF!! Same thing happened the following day as well. I come back 3 days later asking her to fix the nails that came off, she said yes & that the reason they fell off was because the nail tech I had before made my nails too thin. Keep in mind I had paid 60$ for the dip 3 days earlier, & after she finished fixing my four nails they tried charging me another 15$?? How are you going to charge a customer for fixing four nails when the only reason I had to come back is because your nail tech had made a mistake!! read more

Not if you prefer proper care and finish. Just moved to Naples few months ago & have tried a new salon every 2 weeks, in search of THE ONE with TRAINED staff that know how to properly care for nails...this isn't it. Seeing over 100 "great reviews" for TLC, I went in with confidence for a dip mani + pedi. Within the first minute, I knew technique was a problem. No manicure, no cleaning the nails, no trimming/making the nails even, no trimming hang nails....Just started buffing top layers of my bare, already weakened, thin, brittle nails (thanks to the last salon that buffed down to the final layer of protective nail!) ...layered on the base coat and dipped my fingers leaving excessive amounts of powder on my nails. Every misstep was concerning until finally, the end result is cartoon looking French dip with dented surfaces, uneven color & white lines, hang nails, rough edges, goop-filled under-nails, and so on. Needless to say, kind as the staff may be, if I'm paying for proper treatment & elegant looking nails - this is NOT the place. Needless to say, I didn't stay for the pedi. read more

Excellent service! My daughter and I walked in and were warmly greeted by Peter and Kim. This is a very peaceful (no tv, no loud talking), clean salon. We opted for deluxe pedicures...well worth the extra $$. Drinks were offered, massage and hot towels were relaxing and therapeutic. I came in a day before to make an appointment and I asked them how much it was for acrylic they said 45$ and didn't say anything else about it. The day of my appointment I came in and showed them a picture of what I wanted and they it was 65 for that. So I went for something simple and easy, they charged me 60 for something that was so simple and told me it was because of the size plus of the shape. Never coming back here ever again. This was my second visit to TLC. I am pretty picky about my nails & I was given a recommendation for Peter. I was not aware that this salon prefers appointments rather than walk in's. My first visit ended up being with Tina. She was wonderful and meticulous & super friendly. I paid $70 for a new set of dip nails with tips & pedicure. I was ready for a fill 2 weeks later & actually called to schedule with Tina, but was told she moved north?! I asked if Peter was available & he was. I also booked a regular Mani pedi for a friend at the same time. I arrived and Peter was running a bit behind- no worries. When he was assessing my nails, he said that he would just file off the old layer & put a new layer(s) on. My pedicure polish ended up looking bumpy & not professional. The poliish doesn't come close to my cuticles on my toes:(! My nails are slightly bumpy and you can see the tips through the Polish. Which leads me to believe he didn't do enough layers. He was also on his cell phone the entire time he was doing my nails. There were times I had to wait for him to finish texting to do my nails?! . He actually said, your nails will look better next time. I have nicks on both hands where he filed my skin instead of my nails. After my friend had her pedicure done, everyone must have forgotten that she was to have a manicure done as well. We had to mention it twice, but her Mani/padi did turn out great. After all of this, Peter charged me $77 for his services???? I did confirm ahead of time that Peter & Tina's charge is the same. So it was not a good experience & I can't afford to have it redone until time for my next fill. Ugh! read more

I hate to do bad reviews but I know how much reviews help me so I feel obligated to share my experience. My first impression of this place is that it is very clean, nicely decorated, and a welcoming place. The guys that work there are very friendly. I made an appointment with Peter and was greeted immediately. Peter took me to his station and quickly started working on my nails. There was no wait. Peter is very easy going with a great personality but unfortunate I wasn't impressed with my nails. I went in for dip powder. He has a unique Way of doing it. Doesn't wipe powder off between the layers of clear coat so the nails look gritty throughout the whole process. I am a clean freak and was grossed out when I saw that all the nail files looked dirty. It seems that the tools may not be cleaned after each customer and that bothers me. At the end he put gel polish, which threw me of because I had dip powder. Another thing that concerned me was that he used the UV light on my nails. I have been getting dip powder for a year now and the reason I do them is to stay away from UV light that they use on gel nails. When I asked why UV he questioned me with "why, don't they use it where you've been going" he said how else would they seal it. I was super confused. Lastly, I was charged an extra $5 for coffin because he said it takes longer. I never ever get charged for choosing the shape. This was ridiculous but I paid anyway and made my decision to never go back. Now I'm looking at my nails and they don't look that pretty plus I can feel bumps from the powder that was left under each coat and the nails feel rough. Normally my nails last for a month but I'm not to sure about these. Overall, I like the look of the place and the ppl but they have some work to do on the cleanliness of their tools, technique, and pricing. Too expensive for what you get. Peter was extremely friendly and did an amazing job with the fading of the ombre. He takes extra time to make sure his work is perfect. Went to TLC for our end of vacation pedicures. Three adults, a 7 year old and a 2 year old. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating! The pedicures were great and reasonably priced.
