Mike @ TLS is not only a good & honest mechanic, but also a genuine person. I went in to get my trans fluid flushed & serviced for my F150. He gave me the best quote out of the other 5 shops I called before bringing it to his shop. Mind that I'm from out-of-town (Washington) and I don't really trust just anyone working on my cars. Not only did Mike & his crew get my truck done in a reasonable amount of time, more importantly he said to me that my front wheel bearing was noisy/bad. We had a conversation prior to him working my my truck that I will be towing my travel trailer that coming weekend. Most mechanics would have just worked on the service the customer requested, but Mike sincerely expressed that I should NOT be towing w/ a bad wheel bearing. I'm glad that there's business people who still care & look out for their customers knowing that if I had not got that wheel bearing hub assembly replaced, really bad things may have happened. Mike is always upfront and honest about what your car needs, and doesn't try to upsell you additional car parts that you really don't need. I would not recommend the shop to anyone I know I had a great recommendation, and when I needed to use them, they let my daughter down. She took it in on a Monday. She's some seals replaced she needed to see why she was feeling her smog, my daughter even brought her own parts from a dealership, they fixed it and they pass smog. I don't know how. But when my daughter picked it up Friday evening at 3:30 and didn't even get home, the car was shaking smoking. Professional people would test drive a vehicle before they let it go especially over a long weekend like Easter weekend but the shop did not. My daughter called the shop before they close on Friday. They couldn't even offer tow for her. They just tell her to bring it back. And she finally called Tow Truck and got it back. They were closed. The shop is not open until the following Tuesday because the long weekend and he knew that and left my daughter stranded without a car to go to work or celebrate her holiday. Come Tuesday when they did open, they're trying to make it sound like she was crazy but she wasn't hearing anything or smell anything. Sure enough it was not fixed correctly. They had to clean something and then it was fine. No apologies. The shop is a joke. They are rude their customers they're not professionals. I would not go back to the shop. read more

TLS Auto was recommended by a guy who works at Findley Toyota in Henderson. Mike, the main guy at TLS, used to work at the dealership and has since started his own shop. Prior to buying a newer Toyota, we were desperately trying to fix our 1998 Toyota Camry, which at one point had coolant leaking onto the floor in the backseat. Anyways, we took the clunker in to Mike to get an estimate and he said that it would cost way too much to fix and that we were better off selling the car, which we ended up doing. We have since then bought a newer certified Toyota and plan on having him take care of it from here on out! TLS is a certified shop and we go to him for all of the required maintenance for our car, rather than the dealership. He runs a friendly and clean shop and although we moved across town, we are willing to drive over to have him take care of our new car. If you have a Toyota, Lexus or Scion, Mike at TLS Auto is definitely the guy to go to, and he does work on other makes and models, too. He is honest and hardworking - and a pretty funny guy, too! Also, you DO NOT need to go to the dealership to do maintenance for your certified car, you can go to TLS Auto or any other certified shop. Since Mike used to work at the dealership, he knows all the ins and outs of the warranty and how to keep your vehicle under warranty with regular scheduled maintenance. This review is long overdue, Mike and Vanessa are just awesome people and he is an amazing technician, he's not a "mechanic". He's probably forgotten more about cars than most people could ever remember, that's how good he is. I've brought multiple cars to him, 4 to date and 2 were a challenge and he's been honest upfront and fixed everything I asked him to. I'm a car enthusiast and I took a project car I had that wouldn't start and he had it running within a day of diagnosing it. I had it at another shop and it was there for almost a year and they couldn't figure it out. He recharged my AC and did brakes and motor mounts on one of my Toyota's for me and his price was amazing and the work was top notch. He has my Lexus right now and I'm confident that my car will be perfect. One thing you need with technicians these days is trust and he provides that with his knowledge base and ease of being able to talk to him. Vanessa is a sweetheart and runs inside the office she is as sharp as they come, we talked about our kids in their lobby and it was like talking to a friend not someone who just wants money and gets you out of their shop. I had just moved to LV and in need for a new mechanic. Just like how I found my last mechanic, whom I stayed with for the past 6 years and who took care of 3 different vehicles in those past years, I search on Yelp. And here I found TLS Auto. Owned by a very nice couple Vanessa and Mike. Super personable. I also like how Vanessa puts a little femininity to the shop as well. Having all guys around can be a little intimidating some times for females in the shop. I called in for a oil changed and also for an engine check light. Mike was kind enough to take a look at my check engine light and tell me the exact diagnosis for free, while other places were quoting me $98 for just a diagnosis. Both Mike and Vanessa informed me not only of the situation but gave me options. Reasonable options. Not once did I feel pressured or obligated to make any immediate decisions. I felt even more comfortable when Vanessa assured me that they will never pressure anyone to doing or spending money they don't need to. Especially if it's something that can be fix at a later time. Let me start by saying I have always had the dealer work on my 2004 Sequoia aside from the occasional oil change. The last time I was at the deal they told me I needed all kinds of work done and some of that included cv boots on both sides. I had the do the worst side cause I could not afford to do both.
