To revisit the issue I previously had... I took my car to a different mechanic to do some other work regarding oil leaks. He took pictures of some problems. He said the work I had done at Asian Imports was not properly done. There were gaskets that were supposed to be replaced that I had paid for that were not replaced, grommets that were loose, and lugs that weren't tightened. He said to take it back to Asian Imports because the work they had (or hadn't) done would still be under warranty. I took my car back to Asian imports and showed them the pictures. He eventually found the paperwork and told me the person who had done the work had gotten multiple complaints and was no longer working there. He said I needed to make an appointment. They got me an appointment for 2 days later. I took my vehicle in first thing in the morning and I was told this would take a few hours. At about 3:00, I called them and asked if my vehicle was ready yet. They said it was almost done and they'd call me when it was. About 30 minutes later they called and told me my car was ready. I told them I wouldn't be able to get there until about 30 minutes after they close. They told me they could leave the keys somewhere hidden until I got there. I got there at 6 only to see my car parked behind a locked gate. I ended up being 3 hours late to work the next day. When I got to work I called my mechanic on FaceTime so he could double check the work. Fortunately, this time, they did everything they were supposed to do. read more

This is a great place to bring your import vehicle. I've brought my Hyundai here twice and received excellent customer service. The first time was to get some overall maintenance done. Timing belt replaced, transmission fluid changed, and something else I cannot remember. One thing I did notice is that my car was making a weird thunking noise every now and then afterwards, but I wasn't too concerned about it. It has since stopped. I brought it in a second time to get the AC serviced and they discovered the entire AC needed to be replaced. I was extremely happy with the fact that despite the time and fluid they spent on it, they didn't charge me a dime. For that reason, when I can get my AC replaced, I will be coming back here. The guy that works the front (I wish I remembered his name) is always so friendly and honest. He really makes coming to see a mechanic less stressful. You do not feel like you're just being fed BS and that you're going to get ripped off. They truly care about their customers here. read more

They went above and beyond to assure that that the customer was satisfied with the end result confirming my beliefs that it was actually the shifter cable that needed replacing. Came here recently with my husband because when we went to Valvoline for an oil change they said I had a pretty bad leak. Now neither my husband or I are the best handyman's when it comes vehicles so we did what we know always works, we went to Yelp. After some digging we stumbled across Asian Imports Auto. After reading the reviews from people that have been coming here for YEARS and seeing that they specialize in the kind of vehicle I have, I was willingly to take a chance on them. When we called them they were able to fit us in the same day. Now I'm not gonna lie and say it was cheap fix HOWEVER, it never is with my vehicle unfortunately and I knew that going in. What I can say is I was very pleased with the timely manner in which every was handled, the consistent communication with what the issue was and how it would be addressed and the friendliness I was greeted with when entering a space I normally find intimidating. I had two recent instances of using the services of Asian Imports in Henderson. I'll mention the second instance first, as the other visit is a longer story. My Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder was overheating rapidly. I was expecting a large repair bill, but the manager, Sean McEntire, said only an oil cooler hose needed to be replaced. He did recommend replacing the thermostat since my car is 24 years old and doesn't have an idiot light to warn you when the car overheats. I really like the fact that Asian Imports does a complete check of your car when you bring it in for repair. My valve cover gasket was leaking oil, so I did have that replaced. My earlier repair was because my wife's Hyundai Genesis's engine blew last year. Fortunately, it was under warranty. Unfortunately, only one dealer in town does warranty work on a Genesis. We could not get an appointment to bring our car into Genesis of Las Vegas for 28 days. It took them another month to diagnose the repair. They installed an entirely new engine at no charge. However, it took over seven months to do so. Since we had bought a replacement car, we immediately sold the Genesis to a nice lady in southern Henderson. I had touted that the car was a great purchase due to the brand-new engine, and she probably wouldn't need any repairs for years. Four days after she bought the car, she called me saying the engine was leaking oil badly. I asked her to meet me the next morning at Asian Imports. It turns out the Genesis dealer had done a terrible job and had sealed the oil pan incorrectly, along with a couple of other issues. The new engine had a one-year warranty so we could have returned it to the Genesis dealer. However, they were so slow and inept in repairing cars I couldn't tell the lady we should take it there. She lives by herself and needs a car, plus the dealer is almost 30 miles from her home. I asked Sean how much the needed repairs would cost at Asian Imports. He said a little more than $2,000. I felt guilty about the situation and said I would take care of the bill. The car was fixed quickly, and the bill was less than $1,700. Sean said they didn't have to do everything they had projected. I was expecting to pay $2,000, so I was pleased. Many people have had bad experiences with car repair shops. I sure have in the past. I have been impressed with the professionalism of Sean and Asian Imports. They seem to be quite busy, so other people also must be trustworthy of them. read more

Found on Yelp. Have a mechanic local, but wanted to take my girl in before I went back to Cali. Can't remember what I searched for, but glad I did. My local mechanic told me I needed a steering wheel joint for an issue I'd been having. This is after me getting my car back from him having it a week and she came home w a new issue. He said it'd be $650, but he'd give me a break and charge $600 and throw in an alignment. I'd trusted him to this point but was super salty that after having my girl for a week, she came back w a problem we'd never had before. I called this spot and talked to Sean. I showed him the part I was told I needed. He, of course wanted to see her. I figured why not. He called me, wasn't the joint, but a $6 cuppler, w labor, $420 lol. Sure, let's do it. I liked Sean when I went in, he was down to earth and seemed like an honest person. This energy carried over on the phone and I felt he was out for the best interest of my car and me. So then I started asking him to do other things. He had my girl like all day, changed the cuppler, oil, cabin air filter, and just did a once over. I choose to keep my older, high mileage rides and just take care of them. Sean said my girl was solid and in all kinds of good condition. I won't embarrass myself on this, but I'm now an AI legend for my beautiful cabin air filter. Ask to see it! End of the day I was out for $504, still $96 less than other side quoted me for one thing, and not the right part at that! Sean said it's easy to mistake one for the other. Still losing confidence in dude and will likely be doing my maintenance here from now on for her. I wish white boy (truck) was local to bring him in but alas. Place was super clean, Sean was knowledgeable and taught us some things about cars we didn't know. Woman asked if he did American cars as well, she's looking for alternatives to the dealer. He said to show him the invoice from a recent visit, and he'd requote it. I text it to him but haven't heard back. I dropped the ball on follow up so def not counting this as a negative, I'll just follow up on her behalf. Clearly impressed and happy to be a new customer. Will be back. read more

I thought I updated this review. I spoke to Sean after I took my car in for an AC estimate at another repair place that seemed pretty high. He agreed the estimate was high and to have his guys take a look and give their estimate. I brought the car in, and within a couple hours, Sean called to give me my estimate which was considerably lower than the first place, (about $600 less)! He mentioned similar damage to my condenser, as the other shop, but said the best thing was to replace the condenser, drain and re-fill /re-charge the system and make sure the compressor works, and that the AC system works as it should. All of that was done, the compressor works again and the car was fixed that same afternoon. It actually runs colder than what I remember! I also received an overall discount and they replaced a couple parts at no charge. He did mention that the previous shop did not re-attach my AC lines correctly after they did my inspection (not sure why) and they were loose, which could've caused further damage as well as causing their mechanic(s) to get hurt. I was very pleased with the work performed, a much lower bill and the attention to detail that Sean and the shop provided. It's always hard to find a shop that's not only honest, but does the job correctly. These guys did both of those things. ** Update So about 4 months later, my air-conditioning went out again, and I returned to Asian imports to get it checked out. It turns out the compressor had now expired, and it ruined the condenser that I just had these guys install. I have to say I'm quite disappointed in the service/expertise overall. After speaking to several other mechanics since, what should have happened, is the entire system should've been replaced. It was only a matter of time before the condenser was going to go out on this 14 year old car, and they should've known and recommended this from the start. I can understand maybe they were trying to save me money, but this cost me hundreds of dollars more in the end, because while they did warrantee the cost of the condenser, I had to pay for the install labor again, plus the labor to replace & install the compressor and get everything recharged/refilled. They offered me no discount except some BS road service thing which is completely useless since I already have that service with my auto insurance. All in all, horrible experience and will never return here again. read more

Fuel was gushing from my Range Rover Evoque when I brought it to Asian Imports. We are returning customers and Sean has always been a standup guy which is why we go there. The tech made the repairs and we got it back in the same day. Unfortunately, two days later we had a major incident involving the same issue! We were shocked and frightened. It took me a yr to write this review .. wasn't going to. However my gut kept knawing at me to speak my truth. This place is a rip off. First experience was good Oil change and seemed like they relooking out for you but it's all a smoke screen to set you up for more repairs that they cause. My headlight went out they repaired it $300. 1 week later it's out again &450 explanations that sounded good. Went out again for a few days n fine again... The problem was no fender cover so water gets into the bulbs when getting a car wash. What did they fix... probably just dried it out.. and my windows don't roll down with out making noise n getting stuck after I picked my car up from the second exchange my car was there for 3 days... Oh n they replaced my headlight with a totally different color . Original is chrome they placed a beige golden one which I didn't notice til a yr later who looks at those details bright lights shining was my concern.. they knew better.
