Going to a car repair place is like going to the dentist, you dread every minute knowing it's going to be painful! To my delight, besides the pain of my car repair, this place and the people like Brian and Elijah were a breath of fresh air. Both guys were honest, fair and I had an instant trust in them even with it being my first time there. Great experience with this auto repair center. My car started overheating, we ran a code reader before bringing the car in, so we had an idea what the issue was. Made an appointment to bring my car in the following day, within a couple of hours, I received a call with their findings and a repair quote. It was what the code reader gave us, nothing more, nothing less. The repairs were done in a timely manner and we received a AAA discount because we are members. They do not do diagnostic for no charge. Brian told me $200 diagnostic for a AAA member, to do a "check engine Light" diagnostic. This seems high and I know from experience that most auto repair shops do not charge for this service. I'm not going to a business where I'm paying extra money! read more

Recently, my check engine light came on. I ran a diagnostic (used Fix Finder) and one of the oxygen sensors was running slower than normal. Simple fix. I called the AAA repair on Boulder highway asking for an estimate for replacement. Despite my knowing the exact issue including exactly which sensor it was (bank and sensor number) the guy said that he had to run his own diagnostic at a cost of $200 or he couldn't help me!! Even if you are a AAA member as I am, I don't recommend taking your vehicle there for repairs. read more

The only complaint I have is the added charges, the first time that I took my car was for a brake job they replaced the rotors with letting me know, it was the first time that car had a brake pad replaced so no reason to replaced the rotors, this last time was for a thermostat the bill came to 1080, diagnosis is not free if the work is still done there I was charged 211 and 168 for coolant for no reason. Dont think I'll be going back because of the added charges. read more

Sunset Auto Import now AAA Auto Repair Well where do I start I used these guys (sunset) all the time for all my vehicles and they've always been good but a while ago I brought them one of my cars for an air conditioning problem and they basically kept piecing it out fixing it part by part claiming that that was the problem but then I still didn't have cold AC on the last repair I said listen if this doesn't fix the problem you're going to fix it for free and they said yes well low and behold every time they would fix it they would tell me it works good soon as l take it down the road the cold air turns to hot air I'll bring it back and say its still broken well now they want to change out the compressor the whole system basically telling me I have to pay for it to find out that the only problem was a vacuum line that closes the valve to the hot coolant from going into the heater core while you're running your air conditioning so the air conditioning was fighting with the heating and that's why it was cold at the beginning and then you drive it and then it would turn hot again that was about $2000 there at the same time I was having them fix my driver side window and they replaced it but doing so they broke the tabs that hold the panel in place and now it rattles the claim that they ordered me a used/new panel and replaced it which they did not is the exact same because I put a mark on it to see if they were going to change it and it still rattles exactly the same regardless and also dealing with the door well they disconnected some wires so now the controls in the door do not control anything and also the seat doesn't even move back-and-forth anymore. so we're around $3000 and the only thing that they did was replace the window nothing else got fixed and they left it more damaged before. I was in contact with these guys trying to get them to fix their stuff and the guy (Dave) I dealt with telling me that they had a high turnover of mechanics and he couldn't depend on people anymore and they kept screwing it up and that was his answer but then also asked for him to have the owner to call me nobody ever reached out to me to fix the problem. These Guys Cheated Me Out of A Lot of Money! AND NOW THEY ARE AAA AUTO REPAIR AND HAVE THE SAME POOR REVIEWS AND CONTINUE TO CHEAT PEOPLE. DO NOT GO THERE. read more

In the past week, I encountered significant issues with a radiator flush at the establishment located at 1300 Boulder in Henderson. After the initial flush, I had to return my vehicle twice. During the second visit, I expressed concerns about being turned away, and the third time, I was too apprehensive to return and opted to seek services at another location. Ultimately, I was sent back to the original establishment. On the day of my return, I explained my concerns to Dalton, the manager. However, my engine suddenly locked and seized while under their care. Despite my explanation, they showed no remorse, assumed no responsibility, and denied me information to their insurance company regarding faulty workmanship. I believe they were upset that I had chosen to seek services at another location after not trusting their previous experiences. As a Black woman, I strongly advise against taking your vehicle to this establishment. My elderly mother and I were subjected to a severe mistreatment and discrimination. As a result, we were left with $17,000 in damages to our vehicle, which we lack the financial means to repair. Currently, I am without a car and out of the $400 I initially spent, with an additional $17,000 needed to regain mobility. My vehicle had no lights on the dashboard, despite its excellent performance. It only required routine maintenance repairs before I visited this establishment. I had initially trusted them due to their AAA association, but it turned out that they are a separate entity from the AAA membership services. Unfortunately, my mother and I were unaware of this fact, and we would not have chosen to visit this establishment if we had known. The consequences for my mother were particularly severe, as the vehicle was primarily purchased for her to commute to medical appointments. This situation is deeply concerning and serves as a stark reminder of the importance of thorough due diligence when seeking automotive services. To Dalton and Ely, the manager, I must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the treatment I received. You were both rude and verbally abusive towards my mother. Your defensive demeanor prevented you from adequately assisting my AAA tow driver in retrieving my vehicle.  I've recorded a conversation where the manager, Dalton, denied me insurance contact information after I kindly asked for it. He informed me and my elderly mother that he is not liable and will not provide me with that information. This is a serious injustice, and they are taking advantage of AAA members who trust the household name that the AAA membership is built on. I believe this is false advertising and unfair to consumers who are deceived in this manner. read more

It all started on 3/4/2026, with an oil change. I knew I was in good hands with AAA, i have had their roadside mobile repair for years. Brian my service guy , did a follow up inspection on my 1992 Bronco Eddie Bauer, still looking good. Brian informed me of some leaks that I had, such as valve cover gasket , cracked water pump and a rear differential that will need to be replaced. We both laughed and I said , "is that all ?" He assured me it will all be alright as he handed me a tissue, cause I had something in my eye. He gave me a priorities list on the repairs that I needed. So, Brian and his amazing crew completed the valve cover gasket and the replacement of the cracked water pump. They did an amazing job. The rear differential will be done later before the year is out. Cost: You get what you pay for. It was worth it. Thank you Brian and service crew, you guys and gals are the best. Karl. read more

Four stars instead of 5 because very pricey and without a car for two days. However, Brian, Dalton and staff did a great job. Had noticeable bouncing/suspension issue to be looked at along with basic oil change/maintenance. Despite very low mileage, control arm replacement was mandatory, followed by wheel alignment and replacement of spark plugs and radiator hoses that were originals over 16 years! Major expense but mostly labor and we got the car back to find it runs so much better. We got a follow up call today from Brian to check on results and my husband told him we were very pleased. Not in the market yet for a new vehicle, so pleased with the reliability and safety factors of my Hyundai. Thank you, guys! read more

"Simply the Best" I have been coming here for 25 years. (Previous name:Sunset Auto) This is my go to place. This is the only place that I will bring my vehicles to! Even after the management, and name change,the good&reliable service has remained the same! I like that they confirm your appointment,and provide a shuttle service. They will even call Uber or Lyft if the shuttle isn't avaiIable. I have had all kinds of services,and repairs done here on my 2006 Toyota Avalon XL from oil changes,brakes,AC services to lenthy & extensive engine repairs where the engine Camshaft was removed,and replaced,along with timing chains & gears etc. I never worried or hesitated in getting the repairs done. I trust only AAA to do the work&services to my car,and know that they will do it right,and a good job! They aren't happy if the customer isn't happy! Great customer service here! They are efficient, honest,and stand behind their work. Dalton&Eli are professional,super friendly,and go above and beyond! They are good communicators,and keeps me informed. We were driving in from So Cal and when getting off the freeway, my engine exploded on the off ramp. AAA towed us to Boulder Auto Repair and both Brian & Elijah were incredible, arranging and paying for a LYFT to the airport to get a rental car and helping us transfer all of our belongings to the LYFT car. Both Brian & Eli were very compassionate, and kind given we were in Henderson under unfortunate circumstances with my mother-in-law being gravely ill. AAA Henderson Boulder Auto Repair, formerly Sunset Auto Imports Service, located at 1300 N Boulder Hwy Henderson, NV 89011is a complete disappointment. During the 20 years of being a customer of Sunset Auto Imports, I could rest easy knowing that I had a shop I could rely on for honesty, and competences. I never had an issue with their work, nor their staff during that time. Once AAA assumed ownership of Sunset Auto Imports, it quickly degraded to dishonesty, incompetence, and flat out laziness from the entire staff. I will never patronize them again. Strike one. Shortly after the AAA take over, I took my Daughter's new vehicle in for an oil change. Afterward, when checking the oil as I do whenever the oil is changed, I noticed oil all over the engine area, which was pristine before taking it to AAA. I immediately thought bad gasket. Still being under warranty, I took the car back to the dealer to have it checked out. Everything checked out good. No leaks. Since the only other entity under the hood beside myself was AAA I took it back to them, and asked why I wasn't informed of their tech spilling oil all over the engine. Of course, they flat out denied any wrong doing. In other words, they lied. Strike two. Shortly thereafter, I took my vehicle in for an oil change, brake light bulb replacement, and windshield wiper replacement. I supplied my own blades, because shops usually use the cheap ones. I made sure to tell them not to spill oil in the engine, which I received a bit of attitude concerning, but snapped right back putting them in their place. Upon my return, the oil change was fine, but they claimed they couldn't open my trunk to change the brake light, which was untrue. When I got to my car, I pushed the trunk button on my key fob, and it popped right open. They also claimed the windshield wipers weren't the right size. Again, untrue. I took them outside to show them the new blades were an exact match to the old blades, and even changed them in their presence. When I asked why the new blades fit if they were the wrong size, all the obese shop tech, and desk jockey could say was "Oh", "Sorry". As for the brake light bulb, they asked if I wanted to wait additional time for it's installation, which I refused to do, because I was already running late due to the ignorance I had just contended with. Strike three occurred during my final visit when I had the brake pads replaced on my truck. Within days of the new pads being on, my brakes were grinding, and my truck shaking when the brakes were applied. Considering this was the second time I had received faulty brake pads from AAA, I knew it was time to move on, and find another auto repair shop. If you're in search of a good auto repair shop, AAA Henderson Boulder Auto Repair is "NOT" the place for you. If you like dealing with incompetence, ignorance, laziness, and like being lied to, then you'll be thrilled to have your vehicle destroyed at AAA Henderson Boulder. read more

They told me it was my water pump and also listed many other things they claim needed was wrong with my car, ALL THE WAY DOWN TO "NEEDING NEW TIRES". Interesting fact is THE WATER PUMP WAS FINE!! Out of all the things listed that needed repair THEY FAILED TO MENTION THE 1 THING THAT WE BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR, THE ALTERNATOR!! They listed everything under the sun but failed to list the actual problem with the car. The whole reason we brought it in there. I'm disgusted!! I trusted a bunch of incompetent AAA employees to look over my car and give me an honest quote. What a joke!! I left a yelp review 13 days ago about my Audi Q5. I had a very quick response asking me to send them my information so that we could talk about it a little more. I've sent the response with my information twice now and have not heard back. When I took my Audi Q5 to the AAA mechanics, I had a diagnostics done by AutoZone that said there was a misfire in cylinder six. At this time, my car was drivable, including brakes working with no check engine light on.. I decided to have it towed to the AAA auto shop to have a full diagnostics done on it. during the diagnostics test, they found that I had some issues with my air intake manifold. I opted not to do the work at the time and when they return my vehicle to me, they told me that sometimes this can make the brakes not work and left my vehicle with the check engine light on and the brakes not working. I work in sales and utilize my vehicle a lot how to rent a vehicle until I can figure out the situation. read more

I've never been happier with a service garage than I am with this one! Everyone I've had contact with has been amazing.

I took my 2008 dodge ram to this place because I was getting a random chime noise and it started after I slammed the door really hard. They guy who I initially spoke with told me that they would do a comprehensive review of the schematics, check the wires and computer system, the whole works, so I decided to bring it in the next day. I also asked them to fix the brakes. after two days, they told me that they had fixed the brakes, but could not find the issue with the chiming. I asked them, what exactly did they do to try to diagnose the chime issue and they did not give me any straight answer. Then the guy told me they could not reproduce the chime, but that's impossible because it happens all the time when driving the car so, the guy told me he would take it that same day and let me know the next day if he was able to reproduce the chime and he was. In the end, they kept my car in total an entire week and then told me they still cannot find the problem. I get the truck back and decide to do an Internet search. It took me 10 minutes to run across the video that specifically describes the issue with my truck and the fix was too make adjustments of clamps connecting to the fuse box. I did that and lo and behold The chiming went away in addition to the truck randomly shutting off. I'm just disappointed that these guys who specialize in this type of work could not find the issue and it only took me 10 minutes to find the issue. These guys did not charge me in the end for the inspection but they had my car for an entire week which was not good for me. I told them I would not leave a bad review but I feel like I must based on the fact that it only took me 10 minutes to figure out the issue and fix the problem myself. Because of a misdiagnosis, I was out of a car for a whole weekend, and had to take it to the OTHER AAA shop on Sunset to be done right, and even then I still had to cough up anther $1300. I went in for an oil leak that the said they could not fix. Then My A/C went out and they said it was a leak that they couldn't find. Well I looked for a compromise, even had a neighbor look. The A/C still works and no leaks. But a few weeks afterwards, my car began to buck like a horse in a rodeo, check engine light on, then I went from 50 MPH to about 10 MPH. I took it to the AAA on Sunset. They found the oil pressure sensor was leaking oil, and that oil got on the harnesses for my cam shaft sensors. I spent $1300 and guess what, after all was done, the oil leak stopped. The Boulder garage said it was from the seals of the shaft to the transmission, but it was my oil sensor. Had the Boulder shop did it right, I would have not had the second failure, which put my life in danger as it happened on the freeway. read more

After the death of my husband I needed to find a reputable business to service my vehicles. Because this business was affiliated with AAA, I felt they would be honest. I was very mistaken. I brought my Ford F150 to them and described that when I was accelerating uphill I could feel a miss or something wrong. I spoke with Dalton in the office who accepted my vehicle for service. After having my truck for several days, he called me to advise that it was my transmission that needed to be replaced. He stated that "his guys know Fords and transmissions" and that although there was only 119K miles on the truck, he could definitely say it was the transmission. With great hesitation and trust in the AAA name, I paid the 8K for a new transmission to find that on my next trip out of town I had the same issue. I returned the truck and they then decided it was spark plugs. The repair was then made. I requested compensation for the fact that they charged 8K for spark plugs with no response. I am so disappointed that they would take advantage of me. It appears that I learned a very costly lesson. read more
