This shop was recommended to me. I made an appointment for an oil change. the man was very accommodating, and price was 20 dollars less than what I had been paying. The best part was the man informed me my car was "in good shape". He checked the tires, brakes for leaks, etc. Alot of times places try to sell you things you don't need. This was not the case here. I have been going to Liberty Tech and Tire since they opened back in 2016/17. They have worked on my brakes, my AC, my engine struts, changed my oil multiple times and fixed my headlights. My sister has been getting her oil changed there for over 4 years. In my experience, they have always been fair; sometimes their dogs are in the office and the mechanic was great. I've always been friendly with the owner. That changed today however. I brought my car in because the AC wasn't working, and they worked on in for me back in 2019; the owner advised me I needed a new compressor and to service my AC and it would be $1300 and I said I'd pick it up and live with the AC for now. When I picked it up the next day I asked him what he had done to my AC in 2019 because I couldn't remember. He said he'd never worked on my AC. Now please keep in mind, he's the only guy in the front office and I've spoken to him personally every time I've gotten work done, so I asked for a print out of everything he'd ever done to my car as Liberty Tech and Tire is the only mechanic shop I've ever taken it to. He printed out two things, my headlights and a single oil change. I asked for the rest of the maintenance logs. He said that was the only work he'd ever done on my car. I was FLOORED. I've spoken to this man regularly. I've pet his dogs. I remember exactly where I was standing when he showed me my broken engine struts. I asked him if he remembered any of the thousands of dollars of work I'd had done over the past 5 years or remembered my sister and teh work she's had done. He said he didn't. It really hurt to have someone that I thought was friendly and upright just completely deny nearly the entirety of the last five years of work for myself and my family. He said unless I have the invoice that proves he did any other work on my car as far as he is concerned he's never touched it to fix the AC or the breaks or the engine strut or the multiple oil changes because he has no record of it. Now I am stuck trying to go back through five years of paperwork and bank statements to prove that Liberty Tech and Tire, who I have gone to for FIVE YEARS and is the only mechanic I've used, has ever worked on my car other than replacing my headlights. It is truly bizarre. I should certainly have taken much better care of the records on my end, but with Covid and work from home everything got pretty hectic the last few years. I fully expected that a mechanic with as much integrity and kindness as they've shown me over the years would have kept clean records of the work they did in their shop. I'm not sure how they reconcile their taxes. Either way, I bear the owner no ill will, I'm sure he's trying his best like all of us, but I just wanted to warn future customers. It wasn't even the money. It just really hurt my feelings for him to stare at me and deny he'd ever even worked on my car. I thought we were friends. read more

DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SHOP!!!!!!! I brought my car in to have my front brakes repaired (for an overpriced $400) and when I picked my car up and drove through the parking lot I heard a thumping noise. I reversed back to the shop and asked him to check the sound and this is when he tells me I have 2 nails in my 2 rear tires. When I arrived at the shop my tires were new. His mechanic drove my car to the back and if there was an issue prior to him doing the work he would have mentioned it to avoid this situation. This is a scam. After he CALLED THE POLICE in hopes that I would leave, he offered to plug the holes 'for free' although he argued that it was not his fault and called the cops because I was not satisfied with plugged tires as opposed to new ones. DO NOT GET SCAMMED UPDATE: Minutes after I posted this review he texted me to tell me that he would void my warranty if I did not remove this negative review and I didn't want to do that because I would probably need it. He then attempted to sell me a set of 4 tires for $450 instead of $650 since I have 'custom tires'. This is a scam to make you pay for tires that you never needed. Either his mechanic did not sweep the floor properly before pulling my car into the shop or he drilled bolts in my tires in hopes of a higher sale, either way this is BAD BUSINESS and can only/ will only be solved in small claims court.i read more

I know nothing about cars but noticed my car was leaking... definitely not normal right? I took it into pep boys and they wanted $40 to take a look at it, also, I had to stand there for a good 10 minutes before anyone bothered to help me or even acknowledged me. I called liberty tech & tire and was told to bring it and someone would take a look. I drove over and spoke with the owner. He was very nice and took the time to check out my car. He told me it was just normal AC stuff but said my radiator was leaking at one point... and I would have to get it fixed sometime in the future. My car is high mileage because I drive it back and forth from CA so much. I liked how the owner addressed my problem and didn't try to sell any unnecessary repairs to me. The shop is small, but service I give 5/5. The front could use some cleaning but prices are very good compared to other auto places! I'm recommending liberty tire & tech to all my friends read more

They repaired the transmission cable on my car and It has worked great since. I found an application after the repair that gave the price range of different repairs and determined they were on the high end. Sometimes you have to pay a little more to get it right the first time. I would use them again. read more

This shop is great - centrally located and my experience is always quick and friendly. I take my car here for oil changes and other regular service and have had zero problems. Unlike other shops, Rashid has frequently given me honest advice and has never recommended useless service. In some cases, he's even recommended steps for me to take that would solve the problem without costing me any money. This is what you're hoping for out of a local shop. I've been coming to Liberty Tech and Tire since Rashid opened up on Maryland Parkway. I've never once felt cheated, scammed, or anything of the sort. My family has always gotten straight honest answers and no BS from Rashid. Reyes is awesome. You can tell the guy really cares about his work and enjoys his job. Rashid is one of a kind. I've never met someone that is so genuine and a good guy. My family can be difficult and I know we drive him crazy sometimes but he's always cool with us. I have used Liberty Tech and Tire on several occasions and though I'm not much of a reviewer, this place definitely deserves it. Before Liberty, I used to go to a Superior Tire nearby but was burned one to many times. Liberty Tech and Lube had recently been built at the time and I decided to give it a try. Each time I had been there had been a positive experience even though the reason being there was not so positive. Mr. Rashid is knowledgeable and straight to the point. He never tries to pressure or upsell me on anything but is always willing to give helpful advice or suggestion. I have never felt "scammed" or overcharged when going here like I did going to other mechanics. If anything, Mr. Rashid throws in extra services for free to make sure I am back on the road. But even with all the amazing automotive aspects that go on at Liberty Tech and Tire, my favorite part is how they make me feel like a valued part of their business. My wife or my car may be having issues, and I will call Liberty Tech and Tire and the first thing I hear is Mr. Rashid going "Hello Chris!, what do you need?". Broke down here and left my car to be repaired. Manager or owner refuses to send me any invoices and demands I pay him blindly without any paperwork. Tried to reason with him to at least let me have some personal paperwork (social security cards, insurance papers, etc.) Owner/manager is very rude and curses and hangs up on me demanding I pay blindly before I am given anything. It is ILLEGAL to request money without first sending a written statement or invoice of work done. Fines for this are around 5000 dollars. The things I have left in the car have nothing to do with the services being provided so he is also technically STEALING my personal belongings for no reason but to be rude. I have talked to a lawyer and will be bringing this to court and the lawyer has agreed that what this business is doing is against the law and I will have no problem winning the case but it really is such an inconvenience to have to go th itis route when all he had to do was print an invoice. Just shows the lengths the owner will go to just to be Petty. I will never give a business money without an invoice and have never had this problem with mechanism before. Outrageous and unprofessional to say the least. Response to owner: we were going to get it towed, couldn't so we agreed to have him repair it. Tow trucks flaking are not are fault. We did agree to have it repaired and let you know mutliple times we have the money to pay in full but we needed an invoice first! It's been months because you still haven't sent us an invoice and we live 10 hours away so we had no choice but to wait and see if you would finally send us one. I have every right to wait for an invoice before sending any payment! And yes you can have the title, we already gave up on the car, no one lied about anything... You are a crook. read more

I used to love to come here,the owner was well spoken,but after my 4th time here and this was a few years ago. I was told I needed new rotors for my car and I started stressing out after I got a price quote.they started doing work on my car right away withought me even saying it was ok to work on my car,before I signed anything. and I called my brother since it was his car before and he told me he had just put in new,more expensive rotors that cost him $120 or so and after telling the owner I wasn't comfortable with his quote Wich was 2-300 for the work on my car he put everything back and was really nice about it at least. I never went back after that and I asked my friend for help and we went to auto zone and I had Warrenty on my break pads wich were really bad,not my rotors.so I got those for free and I bought a spray for the breaks for $10 instead of spending $$$ at the shop. I know shops are going to cost for their knowledge but I felt like I was being tooken advantage of since I don't know much about cars. the good part is that they are nice and will give you a ride home if your car has to be in the shop for the day.i was more than happy before but I haven't been back in years.i am not angry but just thought I'd share read more

Many people buy vehicle bodys and have the engine and transmissions replaced or rebuilt. I told you and your mechanics this was on the table. You did not do your job. You told me repeatedly that it was ready to go on the road. I questioned that more than once. You said it was ready. Dont try to make me look stupid because you dont do your job! Again, shame on you! Now are you done here or are you going to attack me again!!! I have been sent 2 private messages from this shops owner. There is a reason he has not responded on this site for you all to see. He took full responsibility for not taking care of my vehicle. He wants me to trust him to fix the problems. He had my vehicle approximately 18 days (or more). Why on earth would I trust him again! He did a couple expensive fixes and got paid $3500 then let my vehicle sit in the parking lot. Sent me on my way without even oil in my van. To give you a better picture of how he took advantage....I am a 62 year old woman who is a disabled veteran. I travel alone. He put me on the road without even a simple safety check. I only get taken advantage of once. I only give you my trust once. I will never return to your shop. You lied to me. You put my safety at risk. SHAME ON YOU! If you want to continue contacting me in private, I will continue to respond in public here. I will also copy your email admitting how you did everything wrong here for all to see. This shop is my new favorite, after going years without having a trustworthy mechanic nearby. I had been going to Pep Boys and similar corporate garages... the work was fine, but the prices and the upsells were getting to me. Rashid is fast. You go in and tell him what's wrong, he writes a note with your phone number on a piece of paper and that's it. Later he calls with a diagnosis and estimate. He sticks by his estimate, and at least twice I know he's eaten some costs when my car caused additional issues. Once I think I waited for two or three minutes in the lobby while he finished up with another customer, but that was my longest wait time. I've been coming here for two years or so. I really enjoy reading these one-star reviews... it's pretty clear how some of these customers were actively racist/shady/ridiculous. A few of them look like that customer just had some bad luck with their car and there was some bad communication happening between them and the staff. I can see how that would happen... I love the way Rashid communicates, but some people would prefer more clarity from start to finish. Personally, I couldn't be happier with this place. read more

Came to Vegas from California and my car broke down on me. I brought it here to get fixed and left back to California. I came back to pick it up and my car was still having the same issue. It was a frustrating process because I was so far from home and alone. I ended up having to stay in Vegas an additional couple days until the problem could be resolved. Turned out that my car needed something totally different then the worked that had been done. He gave me a full refund and was really apologetic. Being a young woman I'm always scared to be fooled but that wasn't the case here. Really appreciate the honesty and recommend him just for that. One negative I do have to say is that my air conditioning was working when I gave him my car a week ago and it was given back to me broken. I brought it to his attention and nothing was done. I heard of Liberty Tech and Tire through a facebook page called "Huntridge Neighborhood", I did not realize that the business had change from a European parts establishment to Liberty Tech and Tire (repair shop). Because of the outstanding rave about Harun and Liberty Tech and Tire, I took a chance and stopped by for an oil change... I knew that my brakes were not in the best shape but wasn't ready to fork out the money to have them replaced just yet. Well needless to say, due to the great deal that Huran offered me, they changed the booth drums and disc on the back axle for only $99.00 plus tax and he threw in the oil change with the deal. That's not only great customer service but a real neighborhood business that definitely gets my support and business. read more

I came here a few months ago to have my tires rotated and balanced after Sears Automotive messed them up when they tried to do it. I was only charged $40 from Liberty which was nice and afterwards my cars was driving properly again, HOWEVER, the owner started trying to sell me on new tires when Sears had just checked them and told me I didn't need new tires for awhile. The owner then told me that my brake rotors needed to be replaced along with brake pads and he would do all 4 for $600. I felt like he was pushing a lot of extra things on me so I took it to another shop that I found on Yelp which was Cars Complete. They told me that I did in fact need new brakes/rotors, but only on my front 2 tires, not all of them like Liberty had told me. They charged me $490 for the 2 and even though it would have been cheaper per tire to have Liberty do all 4, why would I want to waste money on something that doesn't need to be done? And I didn't feel confident that they were qualified to work on German cars, despite other reviews saying they can. Most of all, I especially don't liked being conned into things I don't need to have done. I am willing to give Liberty another chance in the future but I will definitely make sure to have my work order double checked before having a large amount of work done. read more

Pulled into my hotel after a night out and the AC goes dead. Popped the hood and smells of burnt rubber/plastic were present. I had a feeling already that the AC compressor went out and I wasn't planning on making the drive back to LA with no AC! Liberty was the closest shop so I headed there first thing in the morning. Met with Harun and he confirmed my diagnosis. I knew I was going to be paying a lot already and was expecting the extra "out of state" premium most shady shops throw on stranded customers not from the area. He provided a fair quote and let me know he could get it done the same day before closing. I receive a call at around 2:30 while killing time on the strip. The car was already done! I wasn't expecting to pick it up until around 5:30pm. Harun provided excellent customer service and fair pricing. If I ever need auto service in LV again, I'll definitely be going here. Oh, he is open seven days a week and most of his weekend customers are from out of town. Highly recommended! read more

It's tough to find a good, honest mechanic. Rashid will honestly tell you what your car really needs and will charge you fairly. I highly recommend Rashid for all of your car needs. Also, he'll go over and beyond for customer service. A perfect example of this is when I took my car in for a typical oil change. It was close to closing time but he saw my car anyway. He noticed that my radiator was broken and recommended that he'll keep it over night and fix it first thing the next morning. He then offered me a ride home to my house. My husband has to go back to Vegas from California to pick up our truck that you did not fix. The same spark plug that broke that got us to your scam shop busted again 10 minutes after leaving you. The reputable shop it's at now said you did not repair it correct. We left the shop with a shaky truck after you charge us $240 for one spark plug. You are a scam and try to take advantage of people coming up with new issues after the vehicle has been in your possession. You told us the truck has been like this for 10 years but we haven't even had it for 10 years and this was our 1st time at your shop. Your one of the only shops open on a Sunday which is a red flag. You stand in your garage smoking and staring me down trying to intimidate me. You call the police on my husband because he was rude to you...how is he supposed to be after you made our truck worse. I searched on Yelp to find a brake repair shop and found this place. I had just moved from LA and didn't know of any good locations out here. This place might look like a shop that will rip you off but it is far from it. I am a haggler and supercritical when it comes to any type of service. I shopped around and they gave me the best deal on my BMW brakes and the owner calmed my nerves by not being a salesperson or pushy. A year later my brakes are still good! Harun Rashid runs a great shop. Makes good suggestions for quality parts, and will tell you if your car is okay rather than making up new ailments. It's always nice to see a mechanic who doesn't want to see you come back for as long as possible. I went in for quite a bit of work recently (new tires, front brake replacement, tune up, oil change, battery check, fan/belt check, air filter replacement) and gritted my teeth as the bill printed out, but the prices were much more than reasonable, even for decent-quality parts and a small markup for labor costs. This is a shop well-worth supporting and I hope they stick around for a long time to come. read more

I love this place. Rashid is honest and the prices are so reasonable. What he quotes, you pay. I recently had a transmission fluid leak fixed; after I had the car home for a week, I noticed fluid on the floor in my garage. I panicked a little and drive down to the shop. They immediately hoisted the car up, checked it and showed it to me. It turns out that it was just some overspill for which he apologized profusely. I highly recommend Liberty Tech & Tire! read more
