I want to start off by saying, I never write reviews, let alone bad ones. I'm generally not a picky…read moreperson, but everyone I've talked to has told me I need to write a review about my experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I started my appointment fine, I was prepped by one tech Lynn, who after I showed my inspo pic, she switched me to Mai. Concerned, I specifically asked Mai when I showed her my inspo picture if it was too hard to do and I would pick something simpler, and she ASSURED me it was fine. The reason I asked was because I had an event to go to and knew a bunch of people were going to be looking at my nails, so I didn't want to risk them turning out bad. First, I asked for Gel X which should be easier to do than acrylic or dip. Right? Wrong. Mai used a gritty primer before adding color to my extensions that make my nails so bumpy. She literally mentioned how it looked weird and retried to apply multiple times and it still looked bad and she just kept going. Then she applied nude for 6 of my French nails that were so patchy because she didn't do enough layers. Then for the actual design. She verbally stated to Lynn that she didn't know how she was gonna do it but that she would try. Not comforting to hear... For the design the first red flag was that she used a hot ass pink color for the base lines, keep in mind the design is bright red. She assures me that she's gonna add red and does the lightest streakiest red ever! At this point she starts to put top coat on and I speak up about how the design looks-- she's missing vertical lines in the gingham, the lines she does have are they're too spaced out so the white spaces look rectangular not square, the lines look messy uneven and didn't go all the way to the inside of my French nails, I truly hated them and I told her so nicely "I'm so sorry but I do not like them, is there any way we can just do French instead at this point? and she blew up on me! She started getting hostile and saying that my inspo picture was messy and she just copied the messiness of the picture, that "no one can do it completely 100% like the photo", and kept pushing me to answer what was wrong with the nails and I told her everything and she said she would fix them but at this point I just wanted something simpler. I asked again can she even just cover them with a solid color and she refused, and we literally sat in silence until I agreed to let her "fix" them. I had to instruct her on exactly what to fix and everytime I would ask for something she'd say "I'm not done yet!". She kept arguing with me that there were not vertical lines on the sides on the nails only one in the middle like what? It's a gingham pattern... and yes it is in the picture, when I point out that she's wrong and just missed that there were extra lines she completely dismissed me. I literally almost never speak up at nail salons and this was just such a bad experience and I hated my nails so much that it took all the courage I had to speak up for myself so I wouldn't have to leave with nails I hated and she legit pressured me into keeping them. Not only that but she tried to gaslight me the whole time into saying her poor quality was MY fault. She said it's because I have bigger nails and that I chose a different shape than the inspo picture... um what??? She just kept saying that I needed to pay her for her time that's why she wouldn't change the design but 1. I never said that I wouldn't pay her, I definitely would've she just didn't want to keep working on them because she was lazy. 2. she promised me something and did not deliver, at all. AND in the beginning she said she would test doing the design on 1-2 nails then ask me how I liked it and that NEVER happened. Matter of fact she not once checked in on me to see if I liked them or explained her plan so I just trusted her and the process. Big mistake. I cannot tell you how frustrating, embarrassing, and upsetting this was. The way Mai handled the situation was beyond rude and unprofessional. If you want cute designs DO NOT COME HERE, or rather DO NOT GO TO MAI. I specifically picked this placed because I saw photos of cute designs and thought they were capable and maybe some of the techs are but my experience was so horrible I will never be back. Everyone I have shown has told me they can tell that it's bad and i cried several times about it. DO NOT GO HERE. Save your time, money and mental well being by just getting gel x press ons and doing your nails at home by yourself. See inspo pic attached versus what I got and keep in mind that what I got is not even bad as what she originally did. I had to literally tell her what to do to somewhat make them look decent. Yeah it might look alright if you're 500 feet away and squint your eyes. But the quality is truly horrifying upclose. 0/10 would never recommend and honestly this is my last time going to a random fucking salon.

1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing Experience I rarely leave…read morebad reviews, but this experience was honestly unacceptable. I went in with a very simple request: square French nails. I showed the technician an inspiration photo of the exact look I wanted, which is something I get regularly. Unfortunately, the technician was extremely inexperienced and the result was wrong in multiple ways: shape, color, thickness, length, and the French style. She eventually walked away and had another technician try to fix her mistakes. Then another person had to step in. After multiple attempts and 3 1/2 HOURS, I still did not leave with what I asked for. To make matters worse, my skin was cut during the service. The final result was nowhere near the inspiration photo, and for the price they charged, the quality was simply not there. I understand that mistakes happen, but when multiple people have to attempt to correct a basic service and it still comes out poorly after 3 1/2 hours, that is a serious problem. I left extremely disappointed and feel like I paid for a service I did not receive. I came here to try a new salon and genuinely regret it. I will not be returning. Train your employees.

While sitting there, one employee repeatedly glared and stared at me in an accusatory way, as if she believed I was going to leave without paying for a service. Other employees had to tell her multiple times that I was there with my mother. She then awkwardly approached me, laughed nervously, and said she "thought I was someone else." Given that my mother and I have noticeably different skin complexions, the entire interaction felt incredibly uncomfortable and left a bad impression. I chose to give this establishment another chance. Second incident: Again, I accompanied my mother and was eating breakfast when I arrived. I was invited to sit at a nail station, but politely declined because I was actively eating and did not want to handle food while beginning a service for obvious hygiene reasons. I clearly stated I would come over once I finished. Instead of respecting that, another employee came and stood directly over me while I was eating, pressuring me again after I had already declined. A third worker then approached and repeated the same thing, despite me already communicating multiple times that I would move when I finished. To avoid further issue, I decided to sit next to my mother after another employee suggested I could. Immediately afterward, the first worker approached me with an attitude and demanded I move to her station instead. I responded that using basic manners such as saying "please" would have been appreciated, to which she responded with unnecessary sarcasm and continued speaking to me disrespectfully. I explained that her coworker had just directed me elsewhere and that while I had no issue moving, the way she was speaking to me was completely unwelcome. Rather than acknowledging the confusion or correcting the miscommunication between staff, she disregarded what I said entirely and continued insisting I should have known where to go. The common denominator between both visits has been feeling singled out, disrespected, and unwelcome. I will never return. Customer service costs nothing, and no paying customer should repeatedly experience this level of rudeness and hostility.
