We are a luxury home builder and have used this company across multiple homes over the years, which is why this experience was so surprising--and frankly unacceptable. We recently scheduled a service call at a pending $5M home for two units (one leaking, one excessively loud). Two technicians arrived--one of whom we later learned was the owner, Tim Thompson. From the moment we explained the issues, his demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. There was eye rolling, a condescending tone, and repeated comments minimizing the concern instead of addressing it. We fully understand the type of units installed--however, one was clearly operating outside of normal expectations. The other technician who was present was respectful and professional, which made the contrast in behavior even more noticeable. What crossed the line was the attitude and approach. We were told they were essentially "doing a favor" by even being there. That is not how you speak to clients--especially in a professional setting, and especially not in a high-end property representing both of our brands. At that point, I directly asked why he was being so aggressive and acting like an asshole, as his tone and behavior were completely inappropriate. Instead of addressing the issue or de-escalating, he abruptly ended the appointment, said "we're done," and walked off the job without servicing either unit. To later find out that this individual was the owner explains the lack of accountability--and is even more concerning. For a company that promotes itself as "the nicer repair man," this experience was the complete opposite. We have also communicated this experience to the representative for the brand they claim to service and advised that it may be worth reevaluating their relationship with this company based on this behavior. We will not be using them again. read more

Rowan was great. we had a gas leak in our Bluestar cooktop which was covered by the warranty. He explained what happened showed me the valve he was replacing and comparing it to the bad one. He also showed me how to remove the gas elements and clean underneath them. I highly recommend Him and TNR. we had another company come for same issue. Whirlpool put in a service request to have this company look at my refrigerator that's under warranty. when I called and made the appointment the customer service lady was great i was pleased with how prompt they were to try and schedule me. Due to work I had to request a later date for an appointment than they first tried to schedule. they called a week before my appointment to cancel due to loosing a technician and they didn't have a technician cover the area I live in for a week or so, I was understanding. I rescheduled and then was called a week before my appointment again and was being told again they lost another technician and were unable to make my appointment and had to cancel. This was extremely frustrating due to my issue with my refrigerator getting worse. I was rescheduled for three day later than my last appointment. Three day before my next scheduled appointment I received a text and email they were canceling aging with no reason and requested I call to reschedule another appointment. I ended up calling Whirlpool to have a different company come out because this one is unreliable. Since I've called Whirlpool this company has emailed and texted everyday for me to contact them to schedule an appointment. What a joke! read more

I wish we could give this company zero stars. After two failed attempts to fix an oven, we had to call them to schedule a third attempt. It was reported by our oven manufacturer that TNR had the correct part (finally), but no call from their scheduler. When my husband called they told us the earliest they could get us in is November. We've been without a working stove for 3 months mins you. My husband was understandably angry and the owner fired us and said they would no longer service our stove. Lol really? This company is unprofessional and, mostly, incompetent. They never were able to fix the oven. RUN from this company!!!! read more

Run -- do not walk -- away from this service repair company. We have struggled to work with them on a warranty issue for our refrigerator for three months. Most recently, the service technician said he had ordered an additional part for the issue. After waiting 11 weeks without hearing from them, we recontacted the company and was told that no part had been ordered and that the issue had been satisfactorily completed. I don't even know where to begin. this company was assigned to us by the extended warranty company to repair our KitchenAid dishwasher. The first tech that came was polite, diagnosed the issues, and said he was ordering parts. Once the parts arrived, a second tech named Kahlin came to our home to repair. This guy was a piece of work. Completely unprofessional, angry, yelling (actually yelling!) about how his previous customer was nothing but a liar, and how he can't stand liars, he doesn't know why he is still working at this job, he is sick of it. At this point I was ready to tell him to leave, but then according to the extended warranty company, I would have been refusing service. He proceeded to say that the previous diagnosis was not correct (there was more than one diagnosis), and he wasn't going to replace that particular part. The other diagnosis was that the dishwasher wasn't getting a water into the unit. While he had the dishwasher out, he was talking about what garbage all of these appliances were, that the repair parts were nothing more than 3-D printed parts made by children in China that didn't know what they were doing. He said that he was not going to replace the entire unit because if he did, it would never go back together correctly because of the garbage quality of the parts, he would only replace a portion of the unit. Funny how the tech from the new company had no issue getting the entire part replaced with no problems at all. Kahlin noticed that there was a broken sprayer arm and said he would order this. Having this man in our home was so unpleasant as he was completely unprofessional, racist, and highly volatile. I called the company and told them to not send him back, send someone else. Later that night I received two phone calls from Kahlin. He never left a message, but calling me after 8:30 PM after I had just told his company that I did not want him back at my home was obnoxious at best, harassment at worst. They sent a 3rd person to install a sprayer arm. Again, another guy who was pleasant enough, but he said the sprayer arm was sticking and wouldn't spin, and this was just how the arm was made, it was what whirlpool sent. His solution was for me to open the dishwasher multiple times during a cycle and unstick the sprayer arm. Seriously? In the meantime, the dishes weren't getting clean, we were still having intermittent starting issues, and it began to smell like fire. I called and left a message for the manager, Jen, while the third tech was at the house. I never heard back. I called the company to tell them that it still wasn't working weeks later, and they told me that I needed to start the process with the extended warranty company all over again, it was over 30 days. I said that I called you while the third tech was here, and I never heard back. This didn't matter, the process was the process. The extended warranty company told me that they didn't have any notes from TNR to show that any work had been done by them at all, or that they had even been to our house. They just showed an open order. I told the extended warranty company that I didn't want to work with them anymore, and about our experience and to please refer us to another company. They did just that. The other company came, sent a highly skilled tech who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and fixed our dishwasher in one trip. The third tech had installed the part incorrectly, which was why it wasn't working. He also left a broken piece of plastic from the previous sprayer arm on the heating element, which was where the fire smell was coming from. We now have a working dishwasher, no thanks to TNR. I spent hours on hold with whirlpool and being transferred all around because TNR said that they needed a new service order number in order to do the work. I told them that I called them while the third technician was here to say we were going to need more help, but that didn't seem to matter. I have a copy of the email that I received from Morgan that I am happy to share if others have questions. Stay away from this company. There are some really decent appliance companies in the Portland metro area, and this is not one of them. End note: the person that answers the phone, Aubrey, was always very nice and professional. Edit: the owner of TNR called me immediately after seeing this post and said he wanted to fix this. So we spoke he's ordering the part and our washing machine won't be fixed as quickly as I'd hoped, but we'll. I hope everthing goes smoothly so I can take down a negative review. WOW, Whirlpool scheduled a repair appt for today with TNR. I called TNR to see if I could get a smaller window. The woman on the phone said I was supposed to call them to schedule an appt. So opened the email and it said appt confirmed with TNR, between 8-4, I pointed this out, the receptionist said , after 45 seconds I can tell this is not going to work out. I did not raise my voice I just pointed out the discrepancy in what she said and the email said. SHE CANCELLED OUR APPT FOR TODAY!!!!!!! Avoid TNR at all costs seriously rude customer service. Not only was scheduling service an issue( i.e. not notifying when on their way, forgetting to put my service ticket in), they never fixed my dryer. Came out twice and then said my electrical was messed up and the outlet didn't have power. After paying for an electrician to come out, absolutely nothing is wrong with our power, and it is in fact the dryer. When I called Whirlpool back to ask about this issue, they told me that my ticket was closed and my unit was working. Which was an absolute lie. It will now be 4 weeks since I haven't had a working dryer, and I have lost wages from missing work for 3 days, as well as paying for an electrician for no reason. Seems to me they didn't know what they were doing and decided to say it was the electrical so they didn't have to deal with it. read more

We had issues with our Monogram stove. Since it was under warranty we were given another service company to take care of the issue....long story short, THEY COULD NOT FIX IT!! They still charged our insurance work for absolutely NOTHING!! A few months later I called the dealer where I purchased our stove. I told them I needed service and I DID NOT WANT THE LAST COMPANY OUT...EVER AGAIN!! THey gave me TNR as a contact. I looked up their website and was DELIGHTED that they worked on "high end" appliances!!! GREAT! Two techs came with parts and fixed this issue within 2 hours. I've lived with this not working for OVER ONE YEAR. THey were ON TIME, CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL and EXTEMELY knowledgeable techs. I would have given them 10 stars if I could!! I am changing from 2 stars to 5 stars. The owner of TNR got back to me. He took on my case and ordered the parts I needed for my Miele dishwasher immediately. I trust that I will be receiving this part soon. The leadership in this company is good. I will definitely return to TNR for more business. ___________________________________________________ I bought a Miele dishwasher and it's warranty work is done by TNR. Somehow due to the water pressure in my house, the valve of the dishwasher needs to be changed (made bigger) TNR sent a technician in to fix it. My husband let him in and I came home a little after the technician arrived. I was told that the holes on the valve were enlarged and hence I did not have to change it. Technician tested it and said it was OK. I did not question it. Then one day, I heard that loud noise again. I took my phone and recorded the noise. I called for TNR to come in again. It was another couple of weeks before they came but this time they have ordered a new part for us. The same technician came, and my husband and I watched the entire process. The technician took a box cutter to remove 2 tabs on my dishwasher's toe kick, and then unscrew the dishwasher to access the back. He hooked the dishwasher to his computer and made some assessments and sure enough it was the valve. He proceeded to fix it. But he dropped something, the a small piece inside the new part (the valve piece that is supposedly most important part) and could not find it. Then he took the old part, took out that little piece of plastic valve enlarge the holes with a tool, and used it with the new part. In effect, he could have just used the old part and just enlarged the holes. We asked him, and he said that last time he came he did not enlarge the holes enough. This time he enlarged the valve more. He tested with his computer and it was all good. Then when he replaced the dish washer into the cabinet space, I told him it was misaligned, he argued that it was how he found but nice enough to readjust it. After he left, I began to wipe off smudges on the dishwasher, and found that a tab on the dishwasher toe kick was missing. I immediately called TNR. The lady at the office call said the technician found my dishwasher with just one tab (and so the missing tab was not his fault). they will order the missing piece. After some "discussions" and they told me that they will order my part and send directly to me. So when a package arrived from Miele, I was very happy. I was very grateful that TNR kept their word. When I opened the package, I realize Miele sent the entire toe kick WITHOUT the piece I needed-- the TAB that covers the screw. (I just need the small little tab -- not the entire toe kick). I have called TNR again. Left a message. And then wrote them a message through their website. But I have not heard from them as yet. It has been a couple weeks. I called them a number of times and no one picked up the phone. I left another message today. My dishwasher is now working with a little whistling sound, and has a missing tab on the toe kick. Miele is a good product and the whistling sound does sound like more valve issue. But it is not LOUD like before. I am tired of dealing with the dishwasher and TNR. I will change this review to 5 stars. If I get my respond from TNR. I do understand that everyone makes mistake. read more

Wow. Where to begin. Our home warranty directed us to this business to fix our fridge. Impossible to talk to a live person but we got scheduled in December and they ascertained what was needed. They showed up in February. The ice maker was fixed but we needed another part so they said they would be back. Here I am in mid-April, two unanswered phone calls, no part and no idea when or if we will ever get it. My next step is to file a complaint with the home warranty folks. I would not recommend this to anyone. I have to give at least one star but I would give none if I could. read more

We recently remodeled our kitchen and replaced all of our appliances with the Viking brand. The refrigerator didn't close quite right and it seemed to be getting worse so I called Viking who put me in contact with TNR. They called to schedule an appointment that same day, which I was not expecting since the Viking folks said it would be in the next 48-72 hours. Rory and his young apprentice showed up right on time. They quickly assessed the problem and fixed the door issue within a few minutes and asked if there was any other problems with the other new appliances. They stayed almost an hour showing me features and tricks on my new appliances that I hadn't even thought to ask, including adjusting one of the elements on my gas range that I asked to have set a little lower. They were awesome! My black lab would like them to stop by weekly to give him more attention Thank you guys for your great customer service and willingness to go the extra mile (literally, since I live near Eugene OR and they came from Washington) Will be happy to recommend you to family and friends! read more

(Especially considering my recent experience with a certain other "appliance repair" business I found via Yelp. The less said about that, the better.) Zero stars. This would have been the second repair on my Miele dishwasher for a leak that was unsuccessfully "repaired" in June. I spoke to someone around August 17 regarding the leak.First available appointment with a technician who could repair dishwasher was September 8. On the 8th, I called at 11 AM to confirm someone was coming that day. The young woman gave me an arrival time frame of 1-4. At 4:30 I called, left a message as they do not answer the phone. Around 4:45 a young woman called back. She immediately said she was sorry, some man had called in the morning asking to reschedule a repair of a Miele dishwasher appointment and therefore my appointment had been cancelled for the day.I said, that can't be true since the only man who knew about the repair appointment was my husband who was looking forward to the repair with as much enthusiasm as I since we were equally tired of washing dishes by hand. My next statement was, this must be a joke, no one randomly cancels another person's dishwasher repair. How would they know my address, name and phone number. I needed to give all that info to the woman in the morning when I asked about the time of the appointment. I was furious that the young woman was not being truthful . She was apologetic, but untruthful. I used a strong voice, no harsh language or elevated voice. The young woman began to cry. She handed over the phone to a manager, who told me to take a breath when I asked how is this possible,this does not make sense. (Has that ever actually made a customer feel heard and respected?) He told me he would return the job to the home warranty company because he would not do the work for me, after they had lied, caused me massive delays, and could not truthfully respond to me as a customer. Ultimately I came to the conclusion , better to not have this company do my repair even if I had to continue to wash dishes. If they were untruthful about this issue what else would they lie about? I do not know what happened, however I do know neither myself nor my husband cancelled the appointment. I do know when I called to check on the time of arrival in the morning, I was asked my name, address and phone number before the woman gave me the time of the appointment. Therefore, someone messed up. It is possible that someone did call to reschedule a Miele dishwasher repair. But the person who took that call did not get the name and phone number and address correct and wrongly cancelled my appointment. When realizing the mistake the office person should have seen the error and simply called to let me know the repairman would be out the next morning. What a waste of energy all because someone choose to be less than truthful. Do not trust this company. Save yourself the time, aggravation, and bad job at repairs that are never resolved. --Note: My mother asked me to post this information since she is not Yelp savvy. Horrid! Imagine waiting over a month only to learn -- after repeatedly trying to get someone on the phone -- that the company hadn't actually ordered the part to repair your microwave. Now imagine them falsely claiming they had no indication you wanted the part ordered, but you have a prior voice-mail message from them that proves otherwise. And to top it all off, imagine the owner berating you for wanting to get your microwave fixed. Exactly. Zero stars. Highly recommend avoiding TNR Appliance. Save your hard-earned $$$ for honest, local, customer-oriented repair shops that value your business. UPDATE: As you can see from the owner's response below, TNR Appliance seems to lack truthfulness + accountability. We told this business on 12/2/21 that we wanted to move forward with repairs, and they left a 12/2/21 voice-mail message acknowledging that + claiming they wld order parts. Fast forward a month later, and they then told us -- after we finally got someone on the phone on 1/4/22 -- that they hadn't put in the order after all. They falsely claimed we hadn't given them direction to order. Wrong. We asked them to acknowledge they dropped the ball, provide a discount for our trouble, and repair the microwave. We even played the voice-mail message for them. But, alas, more grief from the owner over the phone. And then we were hung up on. Some folks grow too arrogant + forget the customer. I'd give negative stars if I could. I bought a new fridge from Home Depot, and when it arrived it was shooting water out of the upper door hinge. I called Home Depot, and their automated system forwarded me to Frigidaire, who then scheduled my repair appointment with TNR. The day of the appointment came, and no repairman showed up. I called Frigidaire again who gave me the number for TNR, which I called....and it went to voicemail during business hours. Shortly thereafter they returned my call, only to say that they had rejected my appointment the day after it was made (because they weren't available) and forwarded it to another repair place, who said they tried to contact me but were unsuccessful so they cancelled my repair order outright. TNR was not able to provide me the name of that other repair company, and they did not call me to notify me my appointment was cancelled. Reading the other reviews on here I see this sort of service appears to be a trend. Avoid TNR at all costs, unless you have no other option. Edit to respond to Tim below: Phone records work both ways. No one ever called me from your number(s) or emailed me. I just got off the phone with Frigidaire and they have no idea what you're talking about with the 2nd repair company my order was sent to. An official complaint has been filed. Calling potential customers liars on Yelp and then repeatedly referencing 'recordings' you have but never actually post is a bad look. Seriously, check out every one of this guys 1 star review replies. He mentions phone recordings more often than the Watergate hearings. read more

Our four year old oven wouldn't go above about 300 degrees. It's not under warranty, so I filled out a form on the KitchenAid/Whirlpool site and an appointment was made with T&R. It took 2 weeks for the repairperson to look at it. The oven kind of worked before he looked at it--our broiler worked, for example--but after he left, nothing worked. He ordered a new element, which took about 3 weeks. They will only schedule an appointment once they have the part, and that took another 2-3 weeks. So far, I've been waiting for about 6 weeks. The repair person was supposed to come this morning to install the part, only they call me to say that "the wrong part was sent." When I spoke with a manager, she confessed that it was possible that the wrong part was ordered, although they would have to "investigate." I didn't get the sense that investigation was going to actually happen. I was told that they would order the part again. The best they would offer me was a 2-6 week timeline for the part, and then another 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. So, assuming the repair guy diagnosed the problem correctly, I bet I'm looking at a total turnaround time of about 3 months to get my oven fixed. That seems really excessive to me. When I let them know how frustrated I was--and I was heated but not verbally abusive--they offered to refund the roughly $200 I've paid them, which isn't helping me at all, since it just means that I have to restart the process with another company. I suggested that instead of solving the problem by leaving me hanging, they solve it by fixing my oven as quickly as possible. I asked them to order the part, contact me as soon as they have a tracking number, and suggested we schedule the appointment in advance. They said that kind of proactive scheduling is "against policy." While the woman I spoke with was nice, I didn't get the sense at all that they really cared about my problem or wanted to make it right. My sense is that this is a company that cares more about themselves than their customers, and as things stand now, I deeply regret using them for this repair. If they respond, they will no doubt say that it's the factory's fault for the long turnaround times on parts. I get that, but there are multiple things they could do to have made this a better customer service experience, including: - Clearly communicate how long the process will take and how backlogged they are up-front instead of waiting until they have their customer on the hook. - Ensure that they've ordered the right part in advance instead of waiting until the day of the repair to discover the error - Once they realized the mistake, they could have worked to come up with creative solutions instead of telling me "tough luck, wait many more weeks." For example, they could have scheduled the next repair now in an effort to fix the problem. We'll see how this ends. If they can find a way to resolve this as quickly as possible and communicate as though they value their customers, I will update this review. If nothing changes, then this will have been a very regrettable customer experience. read more

Dustin and Gabe came to my home yesterday to repair my favorite and most indispensable appliance, my Miele built-in coffee maker. They called beforehand to let me know they were en-route, and arrived on time as promised. They wore masks, asked about removing shoes, and took great care with my kitchen and the machine being repaired. The repair was complicated and involved replacing several parts. They took their time, worked carefully, and checking the function as they went along. As it turned out, Dustin discovered we will need yet another part, but in the meantime, my machine is working, and no doubt, we will soon have the new part installed. Dustin placed the order for the needed part while here and we are all set. Miele requires the very best service for their appliance repairs, and TNR Appliance and Dustin and Gabe provided just that! They arrived on time and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it within an hour. Mani and Gabe were very friendly and conscientious with their work. KTo start let me backfill info. My 2 year old KitchenAid dishwasher stopped washing. I have a home warranty. Call them up and they have TNR call me for an appointment. Fairly standard stuff. I wait 2 weeks for the appointment, they check ot and say the whole thing is bad. Hmmm, well ok. Wait 2 more weeks for parts. Finaly get an appointment for install a month later. I was unavailable so my wife had to take the day off for it. They install it and good to go......NOPE the technician forgot to plug some wires back in (quality work here) and never bothered to run the dishwasher through a cycle to verify it worked. so when I got home and did the dishes I was not happy that my dishwasher was still broke 1 month later. So I texted the technician and he is like laughing that he is waisting my time and money and tells me I have to file another claim with my home warranty service. So I am reeling at this point and it has been 1 1/2 months. I get warranty to call them, they call me, and soonest the can come fix their incomplete service is 3 weeks out. If you value your time, money and sanity and you want your appliance fixed by a professional, THEN DON'T GO HERE! Stay as far way as you can. P.S. To the woman who scheduled my appointments and treated me like a peice of garbage, I hope you get fired. I would fire you instantly if you were my employee. Update, as you can see below from the reply left by the owner you can expect to be blamed for their shoddy workmanship and customer service. Furthermore, I was the one who had to do the due diligence and contact my HWS to re-initiate the service call to fix what you folks failed to fix. Tim and crew were fantastic. Our refrigerator was causing us no end of trouble, pooling up in the bottom. The problem was not easily solved by normal methods, and the crew was persistent until the job was done. They were always gracious and professional, and had more grit than other places we've dealt with, not satisfied until we were. What I have noticed in the vendor community is that business is so flush, that customers often get overcharged and treated poorly - and the vendor does not care. TNR is an extreme example of straight up abusive. I was told they would come between 1 and 3, and when they showed up at noon and I was not there, I called to ask why as I raced back home as I cut my dentist appointment short. The dispatcher literally screamed at me that if I did not like it they would drop my pre-paid materials on my doorstep and I could fend for myself. When I said, "what the hell?" she then went off about me cussing while screaming and hyperventilating at me saying I was blackballed. Hey, this was so crazy that I am still shocked, and even a little amused at how abusive they are to customers. TNR is one vendor gone over the edge with too much business. BEWARE! read more

Twice I have used TNR for Warranty work and got scheduled weeks out and made arrangements to be off that day and both times they canceled my appointment the day of with the same excuse that a technician called in and then try to reschedule me for 3 weeks later. My refrigerator was leaking for days before realizing it. I found TNR on Yelp of course. They were great about replying and fitting me in there schedule. The price was very reasonable. Austin was very courteous and friendly and he even remained quiet while I was working from home, chained to a headset. He found the issue was in fact the tube was leaking. Cheap and easy enough to replace but it was not only leaking but spraying all over my walls and baseboards. So after I hit 'submit', I will be reviewing floor contractors. TNR was very professional and knowledgeable. They arrived in a timely manner and answered any questions I had. Jermey was the technician who did my repair and I was very pleased with his work. One star because it won't accept zero stars. Rory is the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen. Worked on a KitchenAid refrigerator which was not cooling and could not find the problem, even though Whirlpool technicians told him the problem was in the dryer or three way valve area. Instead of coming back to fix the problem, he chose the path of never answering the phone or coming back. It was as though he had dropped of the face of the earth, not caring about the customer since it would require him to get down on his knees to install a three way valve, and are a little difficult and time consuming to replace. Appliance Hospital made this half owner of TNR look like the amateur he is, after they diagnosed the issue and repaired it. Beware if you want TNR (Totally No Response) to resolve your issues. Whirlpool has been in contact with me, and I do not think this is going to end gracefully for TNR. As for the comment from Tim: Whirlpool has been in contact with me about this issue, and they contacted your office and left Rory ( never answers his calls or responds to them) a message to contact me and make a new appointment date, which neither of them were done. Whirlpool DID NOT tell Rory they were replacing the unit. That story was a fabrication in his mind only. They said rarely do they replace units. The technicians told him what to do; he just did not want to put forth the effort. You have a real winner for a business partner, and his dealings paint a very negative review of TNR and you as a business partner. Good luck in the future, you will need lets of it trying to "run a ship" with him at the helm. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Both Manny (sp?) and Austin have been to my house a couple of times to help us with some weird warranty issues relating to the KitchenAid appliances we installed in our new home. They've always been friendly, professional, and informative. I feel confident in their work and their advice. The office workers are also great - very responsive to service calls, and always kind. As new transplants to the area, it's nice knowing this company exists to help us when we need it. read more
