[[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue was easy to find and beautiful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and lei then escorted to our seats. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole set up was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend that you book the VIP package as you get 3 drink tickets & get a good seat up front! The MC was very personable and entertaining we were laughing a lot and the performers were incredible! The fire dancing left me speechless. The staff were very quick to hold up the safety net during that performance I didn't even notice when they set it up they were so quick and smooth with it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Felt like we were in the presence of family![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I thought it was awesome that they honored birthdays, wedding anniversaries & newlyweds. The food was amazing! The plate was VERY filling and the best part is if you are still hungry you can ask for more! I was looking online for the best luau in Oahu and this was the one! It is a drive from Waikiki but SO WORTH IT!

I highly recommend this luau! It's a family-run business, and you can truly feel the care and authenticity in every part of the experience. We had a large group, and Simon was incredible at getting us organized and making everything smooth and enjoyable. It was absolutely worth the drive from Waikiki. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The grounds are beautiful, with plenty to explore throughout the day--so many activities and scenic spots to walk through and enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious, with perfect portion sizes--and if you're still hungry, you can always go back for more! The entertainment was outstanding. The drummers and dancers were fantastic, and we were lucky enough to see an amazing fire dance performed by a 3-time female champion, along with a talented 13-year-old--so impressive! The group performance at the end was the best! We also loved learning about the history and traditions of the different island cultures. Everyone working there was professional, kind, and welcoming. Book it--you'll be so happy you did! Mahalo to Toa Luau for unforgettable memories!

The absolute most beautiful and amazing experience! The show itself is so amazing and fun the narrator is hilarious. The food was outstanding and if you want more food they bring you more food, the servers are also the performers so this team works so hard. I would definitely be back to this Luau every time we come to Hawaii

This is my first luau experience ever and it was phenomenal. In the beginning when everyone is trickling in, the team is super efficient and there are activities out on the lawn. Then for the show it is super well curated. The fire had me in awe. The food was good and had good flavor. They even offered seconds! This is a great place to take families and friends.

Chicken, pork, salad, Hawaiian roll, macaroni and rice. Delicious

This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine aloha spirit, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The service was phenomenal throughout the entire evening--everyone was attentive, friendly, and always made sure we had everything we needed. The dancers were incredibly talented, and every performance was captivating. You could feel the passion, energy, and pride they put into sharing Hawaiian and Polynesian culture. The pre-show activities were also so much fun and made the experience even more memorable. There was something for everyone to enjoy, and the staff took the time to make each activity engaging and interactive. We enjoyed every single minute of this experience. The entire team created such a welcoming and unforgettable atmosphere, and it was the perfect way to experience the beauty and culture of Hawaii. We would absolutely recommend this luau to anyone visiting the islands. Mahalo to the amazing staff, performers, and everyone who made this such a special evening!

What a great time! If you attended the Toa Luau and could not feel the hospitality and effort put out by the family here, I really cannot help you. We arrived and were warmly greeted even though road construction made us late. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We purchased the Silver package which put us at a taller table on the rear of the room, but the sight lines were great and we were able to easily enjoy the show.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They start off with some hands on time experiencing the various parts of the culture the show will get into later. We got to husk and open coconuts, peel tiny green bananas, peel Taro, and lots of other activities[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Then they moved on to show a traditional cooking setup. The meal was tasty with lots of options on the plate and they will keep serving you whatever you might want so you will not be leaving hungry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the meal they our on a heck of a show with all the dancers, drummers, and the quite entertaining MC.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall it was fantastic fun and I cannot imagine a better Luau anywhere on the island. Highly reccommended!

I had my first luau experience here and it was great! :) The experience was very interactive and warm. Before our meal and the performance, the performers had an activity section where they taught us some cultural dance moves and how to play some instruments. We took a lot of good pictures during this time! After the activity, they prepared a very entertaining food demo. We sat with new friends at our table & watched the performance while enjoying a meal together. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great!! I was really impressed by all the performances, esp the fire dance ... so unbelievably amazing to watch in person. I loved the fun energy that came out of tonight. Totally recommend!

What a great production all around. The food, drinks, and show were amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got the VIP seating which I recommend if you're with elderly folks or ones that have a hard time seeing, otherwise there really isn't a bad view in the house due to the stage setup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious and you can get as much as you'd like. It's the traditional Hawaiian fare, so chicken, pork, mac salad, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The show is the real attraction as they take you through most/all of Polynesia instead of just Hawaii and the dancers are so talented to do everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The fire knife performance was also really cool, especially since the guy was a world champion previous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It is my first time in Hawaii and being in a luau. This is truly amazing first experience and would have to check out other one to compare. Went with my cousins and some have been to luau in the past and said this is one of the best they been to. We did the dinner reservations and it was very entertaining and our host was pleasant and hilarious. He would give us the history of Hawaii and cracked jokes which is great. Dancers were all amazing and they actually our servers too. Which is super coo. Love all the dance and my all time favorite would be the fire show. Food was amazing It didn't seem like a big portion but it was. The staff would go around to see if anyone wants extra food or drinks too. So attentive. This place is nice. We saw other people doing other activities but we didn't get to do it but we saw it from the distance and looks fun. Would definitely recommend anyone who's visiting

Highly recommend Toa Luau. They are very welcoming and family friendly. The food is a classic. Their performances are must see. It is in the North shore so if you are in Waikiki, then you will unfortunately need a car. However, I do think it is worth driving for.

One of the highlights of our trip! What a beautiful way to see Hawaiian culture. We walked around Waimea Falls before the luau started (sadly no water at the waterfall, but the workers did tell us ahead of time). When we checked in for the luau we got told we got upgraded to VIP which absolutely a cherry on top to an already perfect luau! There were multiple activities to do before the show started which was all so fun! Got to play with poi balls and learn how to hula. All the staff were amazing!! The host really made the show too! All the dancing and music was beautiful to watch and really made me appreciate the culture so much. The food was pretty good compared to other places. The drinks were also yummy! You can really tell the effort the workers put in to make this luau special and we just had the most magical time. Thank you Toa Luau!

Incredibly organized luau experience from start to finish. It is more on the pricier side, but the food, performances, and service were up to the standard we paid for! They are a family run luau, and everyone comes together to put on the best performance. I don't remember who the MC was but his hosting was amazing, lively, and hilarious. The luau involves a series of activities before the discussion of how the food is made, which I sadly missed out on and didn't get to experience. You are served food and then get to watch the Hula dances, cultural traditions, and fire show. We were given drink tickets, which was one drink from the list of cocktails offered on the menu, but to add on a piña colada for example, was $5 extra. I got the Lilikoi Sour, I believe. I liked my drink, and thought it was perfect to sip on. Now the food? Incredible portions. A generous plate includes pulled pork, chicken, mac salad, greens, a hawaiian roll, and a scoop of white rice. On the side was a few fruit, coconut jello, and a slice of coconut cake. Everything was so authentic and that pulled pork was delicious! The dances were full of energy and the fire show was my favorite, especially their youngest one doing the fire show I was amazed at everyone's skill. I was pretty locked in for the whole performance and had a great time at Toa Luau. It's extremely family friendly, so I would highly recommend this luau for family vacation.

delicious food served right to you!

Ask the Community - Toa Luau

How early can we go in if our reservation is for 5pm? Can we swim? Is there showers available to clean up before luau?

Yes! Like Dennis said, it opens at 9 am. If you want to hike on a different day than the luau, you can show them your Toa reservation. You have a week to go hike the waterfall. The hike is easy & beautiful! Worth doing!

Me & my husband are non drinkers can I book the youth 13-20 year old price to save $20 since I noticed the difference in price was due to u get drink tickets?

Thank you for your message. We appreciate you reaching out to us. Our ticket prices are set based on the age of the attendee, not on personal consumption preferences. This…

Are there any differences between the 1230 and 5 pm with regards to the menu and the show?

No. Everything is the same.

This will be our first time and is there a huge difference in what can be seen from the silver vs gold vs vip package?

VIP puts you right in front of all the action. Gold are great seats as they're up one level (probably about 4' higher than VIP) so you have a good view. I would not recommend the silver seats as you're in the back and based on the roofline, when the…

How many guests per luau?

At ours there were 25 tables of 8 guests each, so ~200. The space they used was full with that number. I think no more than 50 additional people would fit. It was in a covered outdoor area.

My mom is on a wheelchair but can walk a few steps. How far is the waterfall from the parking area? Will we be able to push her all the way to the waterfall?

The hike is about a mile but the floor is pretty level. there are some spots where it's slightly elevated but if the person assisting her is strong i definitely think it can be done. if she's doing it with no assistance then I would think twice but…

How far in advance should I book the tickets? Our trip is the 2nd week of June.

I’d say about 3-5 weeks. If you have a for certain day and time you want then feel free to book earlier. They are flexible if you need to change days if available. This place is awesome!

When does check in end?

We don’t have an end time for check in. We check-in guests as they arrive.

Can I change my date and time? There is still tickets left for the date I want instead

It really shouldn't be a problem. Just contact Toa directly or the vender who made the original reservation. You should also be able to cancel the original reservation and make a new one

How is the drive back to Waikiki at night?

Easy as traffic has died down.

So how this work is this like a regular buffet restaurant just walk in or do I need to make a reservations?

They serve dinner but they make sure you are full and they will serve you more if you are hungry. There was so much food and it was all great!

I have a reservation for 12:30 luau can we hike after?

No. The trail closes at 4 :(

Is it an actual buffet style? Can we get 2nds if we wanted?

It's all you can eat. They keep bringing you more meat, desert or whatever you want. Just not buffet style since Covid I think.

Is seating outdoor or indoor?

It's under a roof with open walls

Does my 2year old require a covid test?

Your child does not require a covid shot or test

Me and my friend will be staying at a hotel in Waikiki Beach Area. We don't drive. Do you offer transportation? If not, what is the best way to get there? Thank you.

We don’t offer transportation but you can Uber over. But make sure to make arrangements for them to pick you back up after the luau. It’s hard to find an Uber after.

Are the tables separated if your buy the viP? Can we get our own private table for 5?

When we went a month back, they situated the tables separately for each party. We sat at a table for two just for my wife and me. Yes, we paid for the VIP, and were very close. There were bigger tables for bigger groups. You won't regret…

Do we need to purchase all tickets on the same transaction in order to sit together at same table? Or can we purchase tickets separately?

You can purchase separately but let us know who the other party is you want to be seated with. Also you have to purchase the same package. Mahalo

I see many do the hike/swim and attend the Luau afterwards. Is there a place to freshen up/change clothing? What do most of you do? Also is there In & Out same day privileges…

Yes. They have changing rooms

How do we purchase for Kamaaina discount?

You can call us and take advantage of our kamaaina discount.

Along the path there are concession stands and places to stop, and at the waterfall there's also a small shop with clothes and other touristy stuff. The waterfall area was pretty organized. People were swimming when I went, and there were lifeguards on duty the whole time. Everyone has to wear a life vest, which they provide, even with the lifeguards there. There are steps and areas around the water where people can sit, leave their belongings, or just watch family members swim. One thing I liked was that the place had a little more going on than just the trail itself. Near the entrance there are small restaurants and souvenir shops, and while I was walking back there was a dance presentation happening at the amphitheater. You do have to pay for entry to the trail, but overall it was a decent experience if you want an easy walk and a place to cool off for a bit.

Each condo has different amenities and it's a bit difficult to choose one but my parents chose a fully stoked condo that had EVERYTHING you need! 2 air conditioners (one in the living room, one in the master bedroom), a GIANT sofa that literally fit 6 adults comfortably, a King sized bed in the master bedroom, a Queen size bed as well as a pull out couch in the second bedroom, a fully stoked bathroom complete with shampoo bottles, hairspray bottles, a blow dryer, even a curling iron(!), a dishwasher, tons of dishes, tons of extra blankets, pillows, and bath towels, even beach towels and beach bags! It was such a cute beach condo. Whoever owns this place seriously thought of EVERYTHING one would need to have a completely relaxing, worry-free stay! We got 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath condo with the view of pool. There were 4 of staying there and there was more than enough room for everyone. At the particular condo we were at, I loved how secure everything was. Everything was keyless! There was a key fob to get onto the property and we were able to create our own unique passcode to get in the house. There was a welcome letter explaining everything we needed to know about the condo and they even provided a binder with what to do in the area! They even provided a GIANT book of 5 minute bed time stories! How cute! There was also free wi-fi and they even attached a Maikai Card for discounts at Foodland! (For those from out of town, of course!) My dad had requested we have 3 stalls because my family all came in separate cars due to needing to transport lots of stuff for the wedding and Jean, the manager was very accommodating. We were allowed 3 parking passes and took 2 guest stalls as well as the assigned stall to our condo. Sorry for all those condos around us for taking up so many stalls! There is a walkway to Turtle Bay and the beach and it was a quick 5 minute walk away from our condo. We were able to explore the resort without paying any resort fees or high room rates. Hehe. Back on the property, the pool area was super cute with grills and a covered area to sit. We took FULL advantage of the pool and grilling area. In fact, our first night, we took over the whoooole area! We had a BBQ with 30+ people and it was a blast!! The pool does close at 9pm so we needed to be out by then but that was no problem because we started BBQ-ing early. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I needed to stay on the North Shore! Just need to really do your research on picking a good one.. I'm not sure how my mom booked this place but it was definitely on the nicer, more modernized condos. My family was staying here for a wedding, therefore extended family rented out the 2 condos next door to the one I was staying at and theirs was nice but didn't have as much included (i.e. 2 air conditioners, a fully stoked bathroom, beach towels with beach bags, etc). Looking at other reviews, it's hit or miss at this place so ask a lot of questions and look at the pictures and read the description on the condos before committing!
