We went with Toast Ent. for our reception music, and they were awesome! They have a great online system for clients so it made paying, signing contracts, and selecting music very easy. This client site allowed me to select all my music for the wedding timeline, cake cutting, first dances, etc. I found this super helpful and convenient to search music months before the wedding. Our DJ was super helpful event the night of the wedding with dealing with family members special music requests that we didn't already have on the list. If I could, I would give them a -5 stars. I recently used the bar-tending services by ToastEnt for my wedding and I was thoroughly disappointed with them. They are absolutely not professional and I would highly recommend staying away from them. First, we had hired 2 bar-tenders and half way through the event, one of them was drunk. A bunch of my guests noticed and mentioned to me about it. You would expect that professional bar tenders not to be drunk while serving alcohol. I am not sure TABC would be happy with this. Second, we had given them a specific set of instructions about the drinks. For example, serve the good wine first and then pull out the back-up wine, the mixers for the drinks are in the fridge in the kitchen and not to use the cans of soda that is supposed to be used for the children and other guests who are not drinking alcohol. But guess what, they did whatever they pleased and did not listen to any of our instructions. Third, we wanted to stay them half an hour longer than we had contracted but they started charging exorbitant fees (even more than what they charged the whole evening). They started heckling with me as the bride on my own wedding and that is definitely not professional. Fourth, they left the bar in a total mess. All the cherries/lemons/limes were on the floor. We had to spend the next day cleaning up the mess they left behind. In general, I wished we had not hired them for our wedding. I found them via a bridal expo and I wished the bridal expo had done a better job of vetting vendors. read more

I went to a wedding a few weekends ago at Star Hill Ranch in Bee Cave (absolutely beautiful by the way). One thing that really stood out was the dj! I don't think anyone sat down even for a minute...Even my 88 year old grandmother was shaking her booty around. The bartenders were also SUPER friendly and knew how to get the party started. I first thought the staff was part of the venue...but after talking with them I found out they were a private DJ and bartending company. Highly recommend them!!! read more

During the wedding planning process, I began to learn that hidden costs were generally in EVERYTHING so this exception was definitely a plus!! Our DJ ended up being Mike Riley and he was PHENOMENAL! Wow, Toast did a great job at our wedding. We hired them to provide our DJ and photo booth. The music was phenomenal. Their online planning form made it easy, but we loved the requests taken too: we remembered hearing "Under the Sea"-- that made a little girl very happy! Vance, our DJ, did a seriously good job. Walter (the owner) and Danny (our DJ for the evening) were an absolute dream to work with! I didn't have a lot of expectations from our DJ, but they set the bar high from the start. We had our wedding at a large venue and I was worried about sound quality for all the areas, but they discussed options that were at very fair prices and they were never pushy about add-ons. If I wanted to add to my order, I could; if I didn't want to change anything, they were determined to make it work. I ultimately decided that whatever came in the standard package would have to work because I didn't want to add more gear to our venue. I'm glad I made that choice though because the gear they bring is more than enough for big, great, clear sound! My husband and I wanted several different songs for walking down the aisle, and Danny made that super easy to achieve. We were able to select songs and song style that we like, and Danny did a great job creating a playlist that we and our guests loved! He was sure to ask questions to make sure the night went according to how we wanted it, and he was really great at making us feel comfortable with being able to ask him questions. We had Walter from Toast Ent. DJ at our wedding and reception last weekend, and he did a phenomenal job! We expressed to him that we really wanted our event to be like a big party, where everyone couldn't help but dance... he nailed it! My girlfriends and I broke it down so much that the shoes had to come off. Even my little 11 year old niece and the other kiddos couldn't help but get their groove on! We requested some music beforehand via email and their interactive website, and Walter played most of what we requested, and left out the songs that wouldn't get people out of their seats (as we asked him to play these songs at his professional discrestion). I have never used Toast Entertainment before our wedding. My SIL used Toast for her DJ at her wedding so we went with them for our DJ. We then decided to get a DOC as well and it is the best choice we made. Nicole was so amazing every step of the way and the day of the wedding she really knocked it out of the park. We held off on decorating the venue due to possible rain and she got it all together within 2 hrs. She was a god send and whatever they are paying her they should pay her more! We had Cory for our DJ and he was wonderful as well. He went with the flow and did a lot of request and flawlessly went between salsa, country and 90's hip hop music. Walter and Vince at Toast Entertainment were hands down the most helpful guys we encountered during our wedding planning! We cannot recommend them enough. Unfortunately our venue, Pecan Grove at the Salt Lick, really screwed us over and we had to move our wedding out of state. Though we were unable to use their services for the big day, they were extremely helpful throughout the process, even after we had to move the wedding. Vince was incredible helpful. He called a dozen other venues in the area to try and find us an alternate location. The dates did not work out for us in the end, but Toast went above and beyond to try and help us. Fantastic. Simply Fantastic. We used Toast Entertainment and their DJ services for our wedding at Heritage House in Dripping Springs, TX. The online customer portal is very easy to navigate and provide details on how you want your day to progress. Once we submitted the timeline about 2 weeks out from our wedding date, we met up with our DJ to discuss details. That leads to DJ Aaron. HE IS THE BEST!!! If you get the chance to submit a preference on a DJ, get DJ Aaron. We met a week prior to our date and he addressed all our wishes & desires. We had a very diverse crowd at our wedding and also a traditional Latin twist to the evening which was the La Hora Loca (the crazy hour). We requested to have upbeat Latin jams (Pitbull, Enrique, Chino y Nacho, Juanes, etc.) throughout the hour to get all the guests fully engaged. Aaron did not disappoint. My spouse and I sat back at one point towards the end of the night and noticed every single guest was on the dance floor. It was incredible and we owe all that to DJ Aaron! We consider him a part of the family now :) From the beginning conversations, Toast entertainment staff were very responsive and professional. Stop looking, Toast Entertainment is the DJ you're looking for! We met Walter and his team at the Bridal Extravaganza in Austin and they couldn't have been more friendly and eager to please. After speaking with them briefly and getting a brochure, we looked them up on their website. What appealed to us most was that they had a package that included two TABC bartenders, lighting system, emcee, and, oh yeah, a margarita machine!! All for such an agreeable price. We were almost certain we would hire them, and after meeting Walter face-to-face any doubts we had left were gone after the first 10 minutes. He is a true professional and very candid about what he can provide and how he works. On the day of the wedding, Walter made everything so easy for us! The music was perfect, we asked him to improvise during cocktail hour--just suggesting a certain genre--and he delivered with flying colors! Everyone was raving about the music selection and how fun the emcee'ing and atmosphere was!! The songs we did request were played at all the right times, all announcements were done perfectly. And as a true testament to Walter's competence not only as a DJ but as an emcee, he approached me warning me that a storm was possibly heading our way and we should consider moving the party inside before it got there. How many DJj's do you know that also have the mind to keep an eye on the weather? Walter fulfilled any request, his team of bartenders were both professional and friendly and always made sure the bride had a drink in her hand (big kudos for that!). Liz was exceptional. Honestly if it weren't for her we wouldn't have had the most magical day of our lives. From the beginning Liz went out of her way to answer all of my questions, attend meetings that I couldn't and offer great recommendations. The day of was a dream. Literally. 2 months after our wedding, and I am finally writing this review! The staff at Toast Entertainment is amazing!! We chose Aleisha Kone as our photographer, and we are still so giddy everytime we look at our wedding photos! She did such an incredible job, and is so easy to work with. She listened to our ideas about how we wanted our photos to look, and did just that! Our videographer- Wes, was also just incredible! He met with us out at our wedding Venue, on a Sunday- and walked around with us for over an hour. Getting our ideas, seeing the layout, and even purchased a drone just for our wedding.. Overall the staff is great! They listen, and correct any "issues" within minutes. Our wedding DJ was John R., and he was great! He followed our song requests, but when it became clear that our crowd was not a country music crowd, he was flexible and switched it up until the dance floor was filled. He was also really nice and attentive, giving me a heads up on his music plans at the beginning of the night, and reminding me a few times throughout the night that I could request anything I wanted. He mingled with the crowd a little and the guests loved him. I was on the fence about booking a DJ but I am SO glad I didn't attempt the iPod DJ thing. This review is so overdue it's embarrassing! I used Walter and Heather Wise from Toast Entertainment for our wedding on June 7, 2014. I hired him as my DJ, Heather as my photographer, and even rented a photo booth from him. They were the ultimate professionals and so much fun to work with. He kept the music rockin all night and everyone had such a blast! He even accommodated our perhaps unusual requests-like Bon Jovi 'Livin on a Prayer' cued to the 1:33 second mark and nailed it! Our photo booth was a massive hit and the props were so funny. Heather and her assistant Joey captured our day so beautifully and she was an absolute pleasure to work with!! She was open to our ideas and the photos were exactly what we were looking for. I really cant say enough about my experience with Toast Ent. We found Toast Entertainment at the Austin Bridal Extravaganza. We were already leaning toward them because they had the most energetic booth, but when we saw them again at the Georgetown Bridal show we were sold. And we were not to be disappointed. Vance was amazing! He arrived super early and helped us decide whether or not to use the microphone for our ceremony by checking in with our photographer and officiant and when we decided not to use it, he returned it to the venue staff for us. He also found a song that I wanted for my processional that they didn't have online. He was constantly checking in with us to make sure we were happy with how things were going and even made our wedding fun after more than half our guests left. By the end of the night I think we had 12 people on the dance floor, but Vance kept the party going and made sure we had the best time up until the end. Our DJ & photographer...... amazing!!!!!!! We first found toast at the austin bridal expo & really loved that we could have our DJ & photographer through one vendor. My husband and I started doing research and found nothing but good reviews so we decided to go with them BEST DECISION EVER! Planning my wedding myself wasn't ideal but Walter, Chris & Heather made me forget all about a wedding planner! I had a hard time hiring a DJ for our wedding. While we like dancing, we're not really "music people", so a lot of the extras other DJs promised (I spin original tunes! My sound quality is amazing!) just didn't matter to me. I got exactly what I wanted with Toast Entertainment. Chase was a great host for our event. He kept the party going, played exactly the type of music my guests were dancing to, and didn't resort to annoying pleas to get people on the dance floor. He even pronounced my husband's difficult foreign name correctly! We also ordered a Photo Booth from Toast Entertainment. It was so much cooler than the photo boots other companies offered. Rather than being a closed, tight, dark space, it was an open, bright background. Big groups could fit, the attendant was wonderful and my guests loved it.
