OEB never disappoints! While the wait can be atrocious (and have never decreased over the years!) I appreciate the waitlist on Yelp as it really makes OEB accessible. We have been probably 10+ times over the years and have tried several dishes (usually sticking to the poutine but going rogue and ordering something different once in a blue moon) and have loved every dish. My go to favorite is the tuna poutine! I also love the short rib one however it is usually sold out. The cluck Norris sandwich is also great if you want a non breakfast item. I finally tried the beef bulgogi benny which was also great! Always recommend! Such fun brunch spot with great vibes, food. Can't go wrong!

OEB Breakfast co on 4525 Lougheed Hwy Burnaby. I didn't check my Yelp account as l believe my "Friends"have already been there enjoy the good food and made detailed reviews Therefore,l did not read their reviews if there are any and ordered it randomly but carefully. The food: (4/5) tastes good and delicious as expected.with no doubt. But I would prefer some extra salad and also for the presentation of the dish. The service :(4/5) The servicer looks after our table is very busy and I understand today was very busy at the restaurant. we tried to get help from the other waitress but the answer was she didn't know because they are newly hired. The Ambiance: (5/5) customers were really enjoying talking to each other

Pretty decent breakfast place. It gets very busy here, so be sure to get on the waitlist as soon as possible. The service is always great and I love coming here to catch up with a girlfriend. Great vibes!

I've had better brunch and coffee at the same price range. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for life changing brunch but location and vibe and service wise are great. I found the pork in Gold Digga hard and salty, overall, the taste is meh. I dine out mostly for the food itself so the recommendation is solely based on the meal I had.

My gal pals and I returned to one of our well loved spots for brunch! Can't go wrong with the laid back vibes and tasty food. The service is nice but relatively average, which we don't mind at all. My friend and I ordered the Truffled Squash Eggs Benedict ($20) and French Toast Trifle ($20.50) to share and it was perfect. For the Eggs Benedict, we love the lighter butternut squash topping on the heavier croissant bottom. The truffle flavour wasn't very strong though as previously when we've had this dish. We're not vegetarian but this is a favourite of ours! The French Toast was made with brioche bread and the fresh berries & lemon curd on top went well together. I found the pistachios and torched mini pavlovas added a yummy crunch and texture to the dish! My friend also ordered an iced lavender latte but she found her drink to be overly sweet though. My other friend ordered the hot version and didn't find the same issue. We wish the drink could've been made more consistently and the server suggested options but involved paying for another espresso shot which is what my friend ended up doing. Just a mild disappointment. We'll likely return for more brunch dates though!

Came on a rainy weekend! I chose GOLD DIGGA $23 - Saint Cyrille curds, Berkshire roast pork, black truffles, brown butter hollandaise Love their roast pork! Tasted like a bit like spam cube but way authentic and less salty in general!! With black truffles is of course another level for taste buds! That day we tried duck egg as well! So one regular and one duck egg. Can't tell too much differences to be honest! Only their size are relatively larger than regular eggs! Loads of potatoes underneath! Appreciate that they let you to choose between spinach, arugula and potatoes portions!!

Came for the Bite of Burnaby special after not coming in for a while. Was a little disappointed with the smoked salmon crepe I got because it had more egg in it than salmon and the salmon was cooked from the heat of the egg which I was not a fan of. Thats not to say it wasn't good, just not what I expected and I would have picked something else if I had known. The little perogies it came with were tasty though!

The dishes are oaky..... The waiters are very busy. There isn't much service provided, and actually, we don't really need much service either.

3.5 Stars Busy on a Saturday Afternoon but we were able to snag seats at the bar. Pros: The menu is HUGE and has so many creative inventions and protein options (duck, crab, salmon, etc.) I had the A-Lott A-Lax "Poutine" - I subbed the potatoes with greens so it was essentially a salad with loc, eggs, cheese, and hollandaise. Hit the spot on a day I was trying to be "good" :) BF got the Belgian Waffle ($15) with Fresh Whipped Cream ($2) and said it was the "Best Waffle he has ever had". Nits: Vanilla Latte ($6.5) hardly had any foam and essentially no Vanilla BF ordered two scrambled eggs ($5) while the kitchen was closing and said they were just not good. I didn't try them so I don't have further details. Staff is so cheery and attentive!

I am happy that OEB offers online queuing service, so that we could start lining up for a table at home. It took us 1.5 hours to get our seat for two on a weekend, but we waited at home, so it's fine. However, be sure to double check the branch you line up for, because we saw a group of people lined up for the wrong branch. We ordered duck confit crostini and traditional Benny with Canadian bacon and waffle fries. Both dishes were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the seasonings/ dressings were very well balanced! Will definitely return for more Sunday brunches!

The restaurant looks clean, comfortable, which made me feel relaxed as soon as I walked in. The food was very good and easy to enjoy, even we are not familiar with Italian food. The dishes were well presented and looked fresh. The pasta was cooked nicely, not too soft, and the sauce had a rich and comforting taste. The flavors were balanced and not too heavy, which made the meal enjoyable from start to finish. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff were polite, patient, and helpful when explaining the menu. They made sure everything was okay and did not rush us, which made the dining experience even better. Overall, Claudio's is a great place for a casual meal or a nice dinner with friends or family. It is a good choice if you want to try Italian food in a comfortable and welcoming environment. I would be happy to come back again.

Initially perplexed,…read moresince our Uber dropped us off one block away, we had no idea where we were in the dark of the Canadian night. Surrounded by warehouses, did the driver want us to experience a "call of the wild?" However, Odd Society beckoned one block from the corner, and two seats were available at the strange bar. Strange because our view was blocked by a kind of ersatz plastic and wood wagon wheel blocking our view of the servers and bar. It was reminiscent of Utah's Zion Curtain. Later, I was told it was part of Odd Society's Covid protection and helped the bartenders stack things up. Okay, fine, but tear the damn things down. They're obnoxious. Odd Society creates an array of liquors made from ingredients sourced locally by law. It's required by their license. I tried almost all of them, and most were fantastic. Abby and Colin, our servers, were charming, fun, and educational, answering my questions, which became increasingly inane as the alcohol took effect. The distillery also mixes fantastic cocktails, and mine, named Midori, was friggen unbelievable. I had two of them along with my liquor tasting. My Midori was made with a special concoction called Portuguese Sweet Milk, or something like that. It was amazing. I want one for breakfast. The fun kept coming, and I didn't want to leave. Alas, we had reservations at Lunch Lady up the street. We should have stayed at Odd Society. Lunch Lady was a disappointment. Try Odd Society out as both a distillery and cocktail bar. You won't be disappointed about either one.

In summary, the place was ok, but noticed after the fact that we were overcharged for the drinks. It's a small space - about 3 high tables, one lower one, each seating 4 to maybe at most 5 people, plus a bar. I reserved a table for the 2 of us at 3:30 pm on a Sunday (earliest reservation they had as they open at 3 pm) and we were seated at 3 pm. They checked our vaccine passports and then seated us. Not long after we were seated, the remaining tables were all taken just after opening for 30 minutes so I would recommend reserving if you prefer tables over bar seating. The waitress brought over a drinks menu and food menu. The menu showed cocktails at $13. We chose our drinks and ordered, then the waitress came by with a second menu that she said was for Sunday only. She apologized and said she normally doesn't work Sunday's so she didn't know this promotional menu was available. This menu had some cocktails on promotion that I would have not minded to try, but I had already received my cocktail. Oh well. I had the Violet and Claire, which looked great and tasted pretty good for the first half. However by the second half of the drink, it started to taste too sweet. It was not bad for a cocktail, overall. My friend said the Smoke Between the Sheets cocktail was alright as well. We got our bills quickly as we had a second place to visit afterwards. After paying, I snapped a picture of the bill at the time but did not notice until I got home that to my surprise, each cocktail was listed on the bill at $14.95. I recalled their physical menu saying $13, and verified this with their menu online. Unfortunately, I did not notice the discrepancy until I was home, otherwise I would have mentioned something. Note that our visit was at the end of November 2021, and at the time I'm writing this review (December 26, 2021), their online menu still has cocktail prices at $13. So, I am not sure if this was a one time mistake when we paid, or if they have just forgotten to update their menu? Either way, this was disappointing. Because of the entire experience I probably won't visit again, especially with all the other options Vancouver has for cocktails.

The entrance is completely unmarked, with darkened windows and no signage; you literally have to decide whether to push or pull your way into the gloom, which fits the "thief" theme perfectly once you step inside. Inside, the space leans into a **chic** speakeasy ambience, only slightly undercut by 90s chillout tunes that are a touch loud but still on-brand for a laid-back late-night hideout. The food is where things really land. Frog legs arrive as the star curiosity and end up tasting strikingly familiar--so much so they echo the famed chicken wings from Anh and Chi in both comfort and flavour. The beef tartare is properly seasoned and genuinely delicious, rich but balanced enough that it never feels heavy. Ox tail is a unique inclusion on the menu and it follows through, offering deep, slow-cooked flavour that stands out even among the stronger dishes. Duck breast is cooked to a textbook pink, tender and juicy, an easy "order again" plate. Dessert keeps the momentum going. An oolong peach creation acts as the perfect finishing touch: fragrant, slightly floral, and just sweet enough to close the meal without tipping into cloying territory. Service and atmosphere reinforce the sense of a discreet drinking den--this is the place you duck into for a properly made drink and a series of small plates, not a high-traffic scene bar. With nothing to complain about--from food to vibe--The Good Thief feels like a well-executed concept: a hidden, unmarked bolthole where you slip in from the dark, linger over excellent plates, and slip back out just as quietly.

I've always wanted to do something like this but have been a bit nervous to do so but he made the class fun, funny, and so easy! You have the chance to make 3 bespoke artisan cocktails during this 3 hour class, 2 of their signatures and then the 3rd Aaron let us pick! My dad accidentally ordered a chocolate martini instead of an espresso martini, and Aaron made it happen. (The entire table loved it! Take that poured over some ice cream and I'd be far too content!) My brother had the gin martini, and while not a fan of gin straight up, it had a nice smooth finish that I could appreciate.
