Yum!!! We were originally going to eat at the place next door but to our luck it was closed and we decided to eat at the bistro. I'm SO glad. We had coffee (they only offer drip) and I had the Paella del Patron. It tasted so authentic and what a unique breakfast item. It had chorizo, chicken, and an egg. The rice was perfectly soft and creamy. It had a little too many peas for my liking but none the less, was probably one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. So glad we got the chance to try it. The service staff was super friendly and attentive. The ambiance is chill. Just a casual breakfast spot with delicious food.
Been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Finally got around to it! We came for brunch on a Saturday. Didn't take long to get a table. The lady told me it would be a 5 minute wait, which wasn't long to begin with but actually it was really only about 2 minutes until we got a table, which was even better. Food was a bit slow to come out but we had experienced far slower at another restaurant recently. So...in comparison, the wait wasn't too bad. This was our 2nd Saturday in a row having to wait a long time for a our food. Seems like weekend brunch = longer wait for the food. Maybe we should aim to do brunches on weekdays and just go out for regular lunches on weekends. Featured here: Brisket Burnt Ends Poutine Mean Green Benny Side of Maple Bacon Mini Buttermilk Pancakes Two people at our table ordered the Brisket Burnt Ends Poutine. One said it was good. The other wasn't too crazy about it. The latter seemed to think that more tater tots and less cheese would have been preferred. Also, she wasn't too crazy about the burnt brisket ends. Neither the flavor nor the texture agreed with her. This dish is subject to personal preference it seems, since one person liked it and the other person didn't. The "Mini" Buttermilk Pancakes were not so mini at all. They were actually quite big for pancakes that were written as "Mini" on the menu. They were pretty much regular pancake size. Looked good. The Benedict dishes at this restaurant are somewhat unusual in that they use bread pudding here instead of the usual English Muffin. I enjoyed my Mean Green Benny; however, I do think my egg yolk could have been a runnier. It was somewhat runny, but I'd have preferred much runnier. Would I come back here again? Came here for brunch during my weekend trip from Washington State and had the best experience! My partner and I came to Blvd Bistro with no expectations and were surprised to find a 45 minute wait, though they were kind enough to accommodate us at the bar. We got the Paella Del Patron with an extra sunny side-up egg. I totally get why this dish is so popular! The chorizo, roast chicken, peas, and saffron rice work amazingly together. My partner couldn't help but eat the plate clean. We also got the Carrot Cake Pancakes which were GREAT. I'm not a huge sweet tooth so this dish was perfectly "not too sweet". The cream cheese icing paired really well with the spices in the pancake, and the pancake itself was light and fluffy. Usually I feel extremely weighed down whenever I eat pancakes but this wasn't the case! We will 100% be coming back here to try their other dishes!
Came in for brunch. Was quite busy at the time 12:15pm lunch rush I guess. Wait time for a table of 2 was about 30 minutes. Luckily there was bar seating available right away and we were fine with that. After we were seated we were promptly given menus and asked what beverages we wanted(aside from the glasses of water we were given) Wifey ordered a lavender mimosa and I just got a coffee. When we were ready to order I got the Paella de patron which is apparently one of the local favorites;+extra egg. Wifey got the butterfinger bacon french toast. The Paella I can see why it is a local fav, the plating very nice and the first bite was wonderful. The rice wonderfully plump, vibrant yellow from the saffron. Many crispy bits of rice mixed throughout a well as a decent amount of chicken and chorizo/peas. Each mouthful was tasty and delicious! The sunnyside eggs were fried perfectly and nice and runny. Tasted a couple of bites of wife's French toast. Delightfully sweet but not to much, wonderful whipped cream and all together a harmonious bite. Wifey I think is still searching for her crispy exterior French toast. I also had a taste of the mimosa! Def can taste the lavender but it's not overpowering and the color of the drink is a nice purple. Overall the service was great, always attended to and with friendly smiles. The meal for me was great, I loved my dish and will try others when we get a chance to come back.
I can't recommend BLVD Bistro enough! We stopped in for breakfast and had the Huevos Rancheros with Avocado and Spanish Chorizo--absolutely incredible. The flavors were fresh, perfectly balanced, and the dish was beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were so warm, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable, especially for families. It's a very kid-friendly place, which is a huge plus for us. They went out of their way to make sure our little one was comfortable and happy. A tip for anyone planning to visit: it does get quite crowded around 11:30, so I recommend coming early to beat the rush. If you're in North Vancouver, BLVD Bistro is a must-visit for breakfast or brunch!
Blvd is the best brunch spot I've found so far in the North Shore. During my most recent visit, I ordered Huevos Rancheros, which contained Spanish Chorizo, along with a good mix of veggies, eggs, chipotle cream and cilantro chimmichurri. The combination of all these ingredients made the meal rich in flavour and unique. My advice to other diners - prepare to wait for a bit. You could grab a buzzer from the host, and then a coffee to go at the restaurant next door, and walk around the neighbourhood while waiting for your table.
Blvd Bistro is still one of those hidden gems in North Vancouver. The brunch was spectacular! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was simply perfect for relaxing and ideal for engaging in conversations. If you get the opportunity, you must check out this place!
8.5/10: This place was recommended by a group of friends that had visited last time they were in Canada and I honestly would agree to recommend this to anyone who is in the area to try this spot out! We got the Huevos Rancheros with Avocado and Paella Del Patron as it seemed like those were the two popular dishes from reviews. Comparing side by side they are very different dishes from each other. The Huevos Rancheros dish was very light, cool and refreshing while the Paella was warm, savory and a bit greasy (in a good way). I think the only downside for the Rancheros was that it came out cold as I think it was made first before the Paella. But other than that I would definitely go again to try out the other dishes!
Came here for brunch after a quick Quarry Rock hike on a weekend. It wasn't very busy at around 9.30 am and we table easily. We both ordered the smoked brisket benny 'cause we wanted something hearty and I liked that they used bread pudding instead of an English muffin. This was quite yummy. The brisket was very tender and their homemade fries which are like hashbrown cubes were really nice. I didn't like the BBQ glaze very much and thought it was too salty. I would recommend asking for that to be on the side. Also, the coffee is unlimited refills. Overall, nice cozy place for a meal.
Absolutely incredible experience here. Grandparents had the kids so my husband and I had a breakfast date. We got there shortly after opening on Saturday and got a table directly, but by the time we were leaving it was full! Plan to be early or plan to have to wait if you go on the weekend. The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Husband had the burnt ends brisket poutine and I had the paella. Both were beyond delicious! I can't wait to come back and try other options.
My girlfriend and I stayed in North Vancouver for the first time and decided to check this place out since it was close to our Airbnb. We arrived around 10 AM -- it was busy, but the wait was only a couple of minutes. We ordered three items: the La Paella Del Patron, Burnt Ends Brisket Poutine, and Smoked Brisket Benedict. The food came out quickly and everything was incredibly savory and flavorful -- it honestly exceeded my expectations. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which added to the great experience. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in North Vancouver!

Maria stopped by to say hi and was amazing as well. Overall, Kyara and Maria made my experience amazing we will definitely come back! Everyone there was friendly and super happy and welcoming ! Just had brunch here recently and I think it's one of the best brunches I've had in a long time. My friend and I decided to take a drive and I remembered Blvd Bistro was on my list of places to try for a while now. Traffic wasn't too bad, so we arrived in good time. We parked on a side street not too far away and noticed how friendly people were as we walked to the restaurant. Everyone said hello and smiled as we passed through. You certainly don't get that same experience in many other areas of the Lower Mainland. Because it was spur of the moment, we didn't have a reservation. We put our name down with the host and waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. The restaurant was a little noisy but not overwhelmingly so. We both had coffee, which was really good. I should've asked what kind of coffee they serve because it's not very often the regular drip coffee is this good. I was having a hard time deciding between the Blvd Blackstone Benny with maple bacon and the Smokey Brisket Benny. I ended up choosing the latter with a side of avocado and my friend had the Huevos Rancheros - he added a side of fried potatoes when he saw how good they looked on my plate. I took one bite of the brisket and I was instantly so glad I chose it. The meat was so tender and flavourful and I didn't even need my knife to cut it. It was phenomenal. My eggs were overcooked but immediately replaced with new eggs when I mentioned it to the server. The replacements were soft with perfectly runny yolks. She also brought extra hollandaise sauce. My friend's meal looked amazing, in fact I now have to come back just so I can have this dish. I wasn't able to finish my meal so I boxed it up to finish later. I will definitely come back here to try more of the menu items, especially when the coffee is this good. Makes me wish I lived closer! read more
The food here was amazing and very flavourful! It was sunny so we sat on the patio and it was pretty nice. The food and drinks arrived to our table at a good amount of time although, it took a little bit for the server to come take our order or to re-fill our waters. Maybe it was because we were in the patio area but the server was very nice. The food itself was really good. I got the breakfast sandwich. The brioche bun was soft yet crispy and the flavours were nice. My friends got eggs benny. They said it was good although the egg was not runny, rather a soft jammy egg yolk. If you like a runny yolk, be sure to let the waiter know. On the table they have a hot sauce, and that was delicious. It was sweet and tangy and had a good amount of spice. The food in this place is delicious! I am amazed with the attitude and speed of the service, it is outstanding. I will definitely return and recommend this place to friends and colleagues. 5 stars all around! The food was so tasty, fresh and reasonably priced. They have gluten friendly and vegan options, as well. The service was quick and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating (where you can bring your dog). Can't wait to be back! read more
As a first-time diner at BLVD Bistro in North Vancouver, I was blown away by their Paella Del Patron, a flavourful masterpiece that combines perfectly cooked rice with a medley of fresh seafood, leaving me craving for more; their Huevos Rancheros, with its perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs and vibrant flavours, offered a delightful breakfast experience that left me wanting to come back for seconds. Although I couldn't try their housemade chocolate milk due to being too full, the mini buttermilk pancakes served as a delightful side dish, adding a touch of sweetness to complete the meal. Super popular and often busy brunch spot in a quiet neighbourhood. They have 3 vegan ("plant-based") options on the menu. I got the Beautiful Buddhist ($18.75), a hash that comes with veggies, potatoes and smoked tofu smothered in a rich and savoury miso tahini sauce. I added some Just Egg ($3) to the bowl. Though it was super busy, the bowl came out in about 15 minutes. Really delicious bowl with fresh mixed veggies, plenty of potatoes, and very firm smoked tofu. The sauce is largely what makes this -- that miso tahini sauce is damn nice. Reasonable portion, though maybe slightly on the smaller side, especially given the price. Friendly staff and a pleasant spot. I'll definitely be back to try their other vegan options. read more

Wow what an amazing spot for brunch in North Vancouver! We happened to snag some free street parking and got seated right away for two. Service wa prompt and attentive. We got some of the local favorites - the paella ($20.75) and huevos rancheros ($20.75). The huevos rancheros was my favorite and it was a huge portion -- can defs share between two people. Also loved the Mum's hot sauce and refillable JJ bean coffeee. read more
I visited Blvd Bistro on a Saturday morning right when they opened at 8am. Wow, it was so worth visiting this little spot. I loooove French toast so I ordered their Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast and JUST LOOK AT IT! Wow. It has strawberries and a cinnamon cream drizzle and they also gave me some maple syrup to drizzle over. This breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend grabbing it! read more

Cute spot for breakfast! Looking at the reviews we knew this hot spot would be busy and we were on a tight schedule so we got here right before they opened. Looks like we weren't the only ones with that idea. I ordered the Mean Green Benedict which had 2 poached eggs, spinach, & kale on a fluffy potato bread pudding, doused in hollandaise, topped with avocado slices. I loved the idea of the potato bread pudding as the base. It kept the meal very light and the flavours blended well. Beautifully plated dish with a refreshing side slaw is a nice start to the day. My friend had the BLVD Beatdown Breakfast Sandwich - Fried egg, bacon, cheddar, tomato, spicy mayo on a Brioche bun. It was a messy one but she enjoyed it! COVID things: Everyone was wearing masks, and dining areas were well spaced. No sanitizer on the tables but I think there was some at the front door. read more

This is a nice neighborhood joint for brunch. To start off, they do have parking but not much. They do.t do reservations, so you may have to wait. They told is 25 minutes but it was way faster than that. I had gone next door to Echo coffee to get a coffee while we waited, and They let ke bring it in because they own both establishments. So get that coffee if the wait is long. I ordered the breakfast burger minus the bacon. It was good but a tiny bit salty for my liking. It came with home fries and a pretty good salad. The service was friendly and good. The ambiance is rustic and casual. I'd go back to try their vegan options if I was in the neighborhood but wouldn't go out of my way. Check it out! read more

We've really enjoyed this place in the past and for a more creative and flavorful breakfast, this is a great choice. But oh what have you done to the signature pulled pork pancakes?? While still tasty, they've shrunk the portion to about half it's original size! The pork portion was decent enough and rather rich, but the pancakes came out the same size as the kids! We had to order a side of pancakes to make it a more satisfying meal. While I love pancakes, I might have to try a bowl next time, they kept arriving around me and looked great. Hearty and diverse. Oh and the whiskey syrup for the pancakes, I'm pretty sure was more whiskey than anything else! Which I'm sure works for some. It's a popular spot so be prepared to wait a while during peak times. read more

OMG YUM!!! We came here for brunch and it was absolutely wonderful! From the food to the customer service, everything was spot on. Parking: The parking lot is fairly small but luckily we were able to find a spot right in front of the restaurant. Blvd Bistro: The restaurant is super cute but tiny. If you have a large party, you most likely will not be seated together. There were 7 of us and we were split up. I am sure if you don't mind waiting a bit, they may be able to accommodate. We were okay with splitting up so it all worked out. Food: Yes yes yes! It was my first time in Canada so I really didn't know what to expect so I tried the pulled pork pancakes. Who would have thought that pulled pork and pancakes would go together so well. The pulled pork was cooked to perfection and the pancakes were the fluffiest pancakes I have ever eaten! I also tried the pancake battered sausage which was also amazing. Everything was amazing and came out fast! Customer Service: The service was phenomenal. We have a couple different people check on our table which was really convenient. Everyone was so nice and it was amazing how our server who took our order could memorize every single order we had. Overall, this was my first time in Canada and when I come to visit again, BLVD Bistro is definitely on my list for brunch. All around amazing! The hubby and I had brunch here on a Saturday morning in June. He was the one who recommended this place since he used to live in North Van. There was a line when we arrived and the wait was quite long. An option is to grab coffee next door while waiting for your table. We waited around 45mins to an hour for a table since they only had a few tables open while they're doing some renovations. Service was ok overall and our server was friendly and nice. Ambience is nice and the different salt and pepper shakers on the tables are a cute touch. We ordered the BLVD Breakfast Burrito and The Rancher (chose bacon and pancakes). Food was okay for me nothing mindblowing or different.. the bottom of my pancakes were a bit too brown but I just didn't bother to complain about it. **COVID-19 reopening review** We arrived at 11:40am and were immediately seated. Customer service: Water with a jug arrived right when we sat down. Kitchen service: We ordered at 11:49am. The food arrived at 12:01pm. Food: - Huevos Rancheros: good food. Not much flavouring. The chorizos are good. - Eggs Benedict: large eggs cooked perfectly. The english muffin is subbed with potatoes, shaped to a piece of toast. - Pallea: It is alright in flavours. Overall, ok food, ok service. read more

My friend and I were visiting Vancouver for a few days from NYC this past weekend. We wanted some breakfast our first morning and I yelped some places nearby. We decided to come here and I'm so glad we did, we ended up coming back all 3 days for breakfast. It's a cute little place with adorable decorations. It's tiny so gets packed fairly quickly, Sunday was the busiest day, had about a 20 minute wait. Everything on the menu sounded good, I got the steak and eggs the first two days. The third day I got the pancakes with a side of eggs and home fries. Everything was delicious. My friend tried three different things and loved them all. Apparently the Huevos Rancheros tasted like Chipotle for breakfast lol. Service was wonderful as well. The second day we came back, one of the waitresses even remembered my order from the day before. Prices are very reasonable too. When I go back to visit Vancouver, this will be my first stop for some more breakfast. read more

Love this brunch spot. Banana macadamia nut pancakes, organic pressed apple juice and more. Friendly staff. Plan ahead, you may need to wait a bit, but worth it. read more
