Found this spot from recommendations on a FB food scene page and decided to try it out. Definitely worth it!! Eggs in Purgatory was DELICIOUS (the cheddar grits with it were amazing). The service was great. Staff was friendly. It's clean and nicely decorated. Hubby didn't want to make the drive (25 minutes from our house) so he was originally grumpy about going but was definitely in a different mood after lol. It's unfortunate but service and food have declined on two occasions. It's sad because this was a great place but recently a let down. When the two best waitresses there are not working, some of the others are aloof, they don't listen or follow through. Having food sit at the pass for a long time only makes the food inedible and rubbery. How about hiring cooks that can prepare food fresh and right the first time. Putting hardly grilled breakfast potatoes on my plate that are half raw is not good, or healthy for your guests. 20 minutes for a latte and the right latte is not good. A little disappointed, had biscuits and gravy with two eggs. The eggs were on top of the biscuits and gravy and they were not medium well. The gravy was not good at all. My husband had a reuben on on rye, he said the meat was good but not the bread. The girl that greeted us had short shorts (thought we were at Hooters); we were expecting a little bit nicer place; but not a restaurant I would take mom and dad. Disappointed because of the reviews. Was highly recommended by a friend. Went there and everybody was friendly and professional. Had the best omelette , and my wife had the crab eggs Benedict that was incredible. the hubby and I didn't have such a great experience however the place is fairly new and employees are still being trained? our order took over an hour to arrive, my husband potatoes were not fully cooked and the AC wasn't working partially inside the restaurant. Great breakfast or coffee spot! The coffee is fantastic (roasted in house) and our breakfasts were wonderful; Egg white omelette and steak eggs Benedict. They have a nice courtyard if you want to be outside and we had very attentive, but not overbearing service from Tori! If you are a person of color or a minority this place does not want your business! But if you are supposedly a regular and you're yt they will serve you right away! This is a really nice place staffed by people who care about delivering a superlative experience. From my other reviews you'll see that I reserve 5-stars for truly exceptional places, and Toasted & Roasted deserves all five. It's a full-service restaurant serving well-designed, well-prepared meals (breakfast/lunch only), combined with a 5-star coffee shop and in-house coffee roasting operation. They're skillfully juggling a lot of balls here. The space is huge with a dining area of four-tops, a separate section of sofas and chairs for coffee and snacks, and a splendid patio, all surrounding a full kitchen and coffee bar. It's very pleasant and comfortable, with ample free parking. If you don't live in the area, check it out on your way to Lake Mead. For those who care about portion size, I was only able to consume half of what they served me. I know some people appreciate huge portions but I wish they could reduce the waste. Found this place while searching for a breakfast place. Since it was down the street from us we decided to give place a try. Walked in and was promptly greeted by a woman in the front with wavy hair making drinks for guest who were already dining. Welcomed and told us to enjoy. A great start for a new place that is rated 4.5 stars. We were taken to the table and menus were placed we were not informed who our server was. Only saw 2 servers at the moment. There were about 4-5 tables sat and had already eaten or was about to eat. We were still not greeted or asked if we wanted drinks (4-5 minutes) onr server delivered food to the table behind us and had messed up their eggs, but the guest said just switch it, but the server insisted that she will get it made over. Still NO acknowlegement that we were there. When she walked to the table behind us we made quick eye contact, but still no hello, how are you, do drink order. Had to be a good 10 minutes from when we entered and sat. A table had walked in 5 minutes after us and had a server great, taking their order. I guess our business means nothing to them since we are a young bi-racial couple. We spoke briefly to see if we will stay and see if anyone will acknowlege. Still no one and we had to be in the restaurant for about 15 minutes. We decided to walk out and still no one stopped or said anything. Im sure the food would have been great, but we didnt have the opportunity to enjoy it. We are solely rating this restaurant on SERVICE. We decided to spend our money and time at Omelet House where we know service and food is consistant. We received our food in a shorter time then we spent our time at "Toasted and Roasted" If you decide to dine at Omelet house for breakfast Geo is great!!! Best food in town! Both breakfast and lunch you can't go wrong. I was thoroughly impressed the menus AND service. The freshness of the menu shows! The orange juice in the mimosas was freshly squeezed in the front. The Guatemalan coffee was so smooth and rich. The food was so exceptional with how it melted in your mouth it was unbelievable.
