Back at Anna's Breakfast & Lunch Café, because apparently I'm incapable of staying away. I had the vegan breakfast croissant with vegan cheese and the YO egg and sausage, plus the hash browns. It was delicious, messy as usual, and completely worth the mess. At this point, I've just accepted that eating breakfast here requires a napkin strategy. My brother had the chicken fried steak and eggs, which looked pretty darn good too. I'm pretty sure he managed to eat his without wearing half of it, but I'm not making any promises. And as always, it was great seeing Anna! She's always so friendly and welcoming, and it's always nice when the owner is there to say hello. Great food, great people, and yes... This place kept popping up on my recommendations of good breakfast places near me. So I went on a Saturday to check them out. Super easy to find, located in a big shopping center near a Bank of America with plenty of parking. You walked in and were immediately seated by the owner, Anna, the restaurant's namesake! What a treasure she is. You definitely have to experience perisher server, has. She has a colorful note to the dining experience. There were plenty of options, but we opted for the chicken, fried steak and the quiche. Everything was cooked perfectly, the hash browns could have been crispier, but that's just a personal preference. Preference? Okay. There is definitely plenty of food, especially when you factor in the wheat toast, which is what I usually save for dessert. Place has really really good coffee, I may have had a cup or two more than I should have but hey it was Saturday and I decide to live a little. Bottom line? Definitely need to go check this place out. Super fun, super friendly, and great food. This will be on my short list of repeat go-to's for breakfast! read more

We were served by Anna herself and it was a treat to hear about her restaurant history and businesses that she's owned in Vegas. We are from Buffalo, so Anna's Buffalo Bills memorabilia in the restaurant was cool for us. (Anna is originally from Orchard Park, NY) Anyhow, I had the Italian sub which came with a side choice and I picked sweet potato salad. Toasted with veggies snd Italian meat, it was tasty. My adult son chose the fish fry with slaw and fries. While he enjoyed the fish, it did not seem to be hand battered. He also had the soup of the day, which was Italian Wedding and he said it was properly seasoned. Seems to be mainly a breakfast place, but also serves lunch. We'll return. read more

I ordered the Cobb salad with a diet sodie and overall it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, crisp, and really well prepared, which I appreciated. The only downside was that there wasn't much chicken, especially for the price. My total came out to around $20 for just a salad and a drink, which feels a bit high for what you get. It's a very cute mom and pop breakfast spot. It's not a huge breakfast place, so I would understand weekends would get very busy. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. We came on our day off (Monday) to try out this place- came around 11, not crowed, but not empty. Coffee was freshly brewed. We asked our server if gravy and biscuits were a hit- it was not a disappointment. My husband loved it. I ordered Anna's benedict- again, no disappoint!! Well, Anna's has done it again!! I usually get the extremely delicious quiche lorraine when we go there. I decided to change it up. We were there early on Monday morning. I ordered an egg over easy, red potatoes, whole wheat toast, and a raspberry iced tea. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with red potatoes, and coffee. My egg was perfect. The potatoes were excellent, and the toast perfect. Sometimes when you get toast at a restaurant it's either hardly toasted or almost burnt. My husbands chicken fried steak and potatoes was amazing. If you have not been to Anna's, you have to go. The place is warm and friendly. Anna is sweet, friendly, and runs a good kitchen. It's clean, the service is perfect, AND THE FOOD IS OUTSTANDING!!!! The food is a very nice quality, and there's always quite a few vegan options for those seeking it, and also quite a few just healthier options for those seeking to do better in life. Buyer beware. I ordered soft, scrambled eggs and extra crispy hashbrowns. My wife ordered a scrambled egg sandwich. I added an egg to my order. My eggs came out hard scrambled with my hashbrowns, barely brown. The bacon was way overcooked and the coffee was barely lukewarm. The eggs on my wife's sandwich were brown and overcooked. (See picture) I returned my food and the next time it came out my egg were right, but my hashbrowns were still barely brown. Even with all of this, I would have given a three star review. The place was clean and the atmosphere was decent. The service not so much. As an avid yelper a three star review is typically as low as I will go. However, I was charged a surcharge for every egg, maybe this restaurant just has not realized that the price of eggs have gone down by 60% in the last five months. I was also told that there was no manager to speak with, and that the owner was never available to speak with. read more

I hate to leave a bad review of a small business but I had to in this case... Sat my wife and I at the table by the bathroom, gave attitude when we politely asked to be moved .. had to ask for coffee refill, brought us a way undercooked pancake (how does a diner F up a pancake!). hash browns were obviously frozen-gross. But the worst, was seeing a $.50 surcharge per egg on the bill...that shud be disclosed--unethical!!!! If that's happening, it shows me shady business practices across the board. I took my lady to brunch like we do every Saturday we enjoy trying out new places every week and honestly we are not really people who leave reviews good or bad but this one needed to be reviewed. We ordered a couple things off the menu the breakfast burrito with bacon , had very little bacon and a lot of potatoes and was served with more Potatoes on the side (hash browns) and a pace "salsa" that didn't really go with the burrito. the burrito lacked flavor/ seasoning and cheese. I also ordered the croissant sandwich which literally just had egg and a sausage link that was sliced in half to fill the so called sandwich ... on top of that there was no cheese in the sandwich. The waitress didn't have the best attitude either when I ordered the croissant sandwich she asked me how I wanted the Egg for it and I said "uh scrambled pease" she then began to tell the cook that she didn't know how he was going to make my croissant sandwich with scrambled eggs ( this is how any crossiant sandwich is served anywhere you go...) she also informed me that my croissant sandwich came with "seasoned potatoes" let's just say I received the potatoes minus the seasoning. we also ordered a very mediocre iced coffee and " cappuccino". The cappuccino was just a double espressso with hot milk and no foam , they even put cinnamon on top. This place needs some help I don't mean to bash it but based on others people's reviews on yelp and google I don't believe they are genuine reviews. I was in Las Vegas for a trade show and had the opportunity to go see my cousin and his 99-year old mom (my aunt), who I haven't see in at least 30 years, for breakfast in Henderson, where they live. They took here before I had to head to the airport and this is an all-around 5-star place. I had an egg white omelette with onions and tomatoes and hash browns and sourdough bread and it was delicious! My aunt and cousin also ate every last bite off their plates. What also, and perhaps really, made this place great was Michele, our server. Not only was she an excellent server who stayed on top of everything as we had a few questions, but she has a great sense of humor and went along with everything we threw at her and more. The combination of excellent food at good prices and a fantastic server makes this a definite 5-star review and a place to go for breakfast or lunch if you're ever in Henderson, about a 20 minute ride from the Las Vegas strip. read more
