What went well? Everything- service, food quality, quantity, and flavor. We ordered the Pizza Bites, Mozzarella Sticks, and the Chicken Strips. Pizza Bites were like a little crispy, buttery bites of a perfectly baked pepperoni pizza. The Cheese Sticks were crisp, hot with an exceptional cheese pull. The Chicken Strips were divine. The outside is crispy but not hard - more like a buttery crispy crust surrounding a firm and tender chicken strip just waiting for some honey mustard dip. We also had the Smash Burgers - one with pepper jack cheese and one with American cheese. First let's talk about the toasted brioche bun. When you dive into this burger the toasted brioche bun envelopes the meat and cheese (and any other veggies and sauce) and sort of arrives in your mouth ready to deliver something so delicious your stomach is going to thank you. The Chef pairs this delicious sandwich with a garlic aioli that's going to make you see this is how a smash burger is supposed to taste. We finished off our visit with the Concha Ice Cream Sandwich and a piece of NY Style Cheesecake. It was as expected sensational. What makes this place so special? I believe it's the quiet and cozy atmosphere (everyone is chowing down on the delicious food) and of course the dedication this family has to providing a delicious meal using quality ingredients as well as a desire to offer each customer a wonderful dining experience. Our server was Kelani and she was fantastic. We met the owner - on a Sunday afternoon working in the trenches with his team. Came back here for the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, it's been living rent free in my head. This spot is great for brunch, amazing service and it's always clean! My husband got the banana foster waffle, I took a bite of that and it was super yummy! My daughter got the Mac n cheese (obviously had to taste test that as well) and when I say this is probably the best Mac n cheese I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. Had late breakfast/ lunch with friends at Black Mountain Griddle. It's located in the spot that used to be occupied by Il Chianti restaurant on Horizon Ridge. We went on a Friday, it was not busy at all. The food was good. The service was friendly. Quick for the most part. Ambiance: clean airy diner. I would go back if looking for a quick uncomplicated meal. They do serve dinner a couple of days a week also. The waitress said that the are serving some of chef Rudy's (Il Chianti) pasta dishes which he trained them on before they opened. read more

We ordered steak and egg tacos. What we received was maybe two very small pieces of chopped steak and a bunch of over cooked eggs. It was supposed to have peppers in them one of them did the others not so much. We asked if they could bring more steak, and they did some over cooked pieces. We asked for the check, and I asked why I was paying for this meal and was told they have to call the manager to come in he's not present in the store. Nice and clean when you walk in, we were greeted immediately by friendly staff and seated promptly. After a few minutes our server came with water, took our drink order and took our food order. She warned us that "the kitchen is dealing with quite a few orders" and to expect a wait. Odd but ok. We waited 35 minutes for our food to hit the table and we had to ask a different server where it was to receive it because our server was hiding in the kitchen. This would be understandable in a larger restaurant but this is a diner in a strip mall. When it did arrive, my order was partially wrong (I ordered eggs over easy and they arrived scrambled). Our server took away my entire plate to fix the eggs and I got to sit without food while they fixed it. The portions were very small, everything lacked seasoning, our server kinda left us for dead, and everything costs the same as any other restaurant. A gentleman did come apologize and comp half of our meal cost, so that's nice, but this being our first experience here, honestly means it'll likely be our last. read more

We both really enjoyed our breakfast here. I had a classic breakfast and my wife had biscuits and gravy, both delicious. Our server was Vanessa, and she was very attentive, and always present. Our only issue is, it was a little pricey for some items. Five dollars for a cup of decaf coffee seems a little expensive to me. Didn't get our food after 40 minutes and when it did arrive it was horrible. Our server didn't even come by to apologize or tell us what was going on and gave a vague answer when we asked after 30 minutes. Got my order wrong for the Tres pancakes without any of the strawberries and cream and when they brought it back out, it had 4 tiny slices on it. Also, I'm a bad chef and I'm confident I could make better pancakes. They were soaked and collapsed whenever I touched them with no fluff or anything. My dad's burger looked worse than an In N Out Burger and was like $14. The only time I post a Yelp review is when I either hate or absolutely love the place. This is the former. Maybe we got unlucky, but for so much to go wrong with bad service, slow service, and poor food makes me quite certain I'll never give this place another chance. read more
