The main draw for me is their iced coffee which is served with coffee ice cubes! When the ice cubes inevitably melt, they will not water down your coffee because they are cubes of frozen coffee. We were really craving bagels and coffee on Sunday after a super long night before. We stumbled upon Toasted Bagelry and placed an online order. The service was quick and they were finishing our order once we arrived. We ordered one iced oat latte with French vanilla, and one iced almond milk latte with French vanilla. They were both delicious. A little sweet, but very yummy. They cost around $7 per latte. The bagels were a little over $14 each, which is way overpriced for it to only include one egg and not butter the bagel. The everything bagel was very dry, so I would love to order it buttered next time and perhaps with two eggs instead of one. The cinnamon bagel was a little less dry and paired well with the bacon and eggs. We sat and ate on the patio and enjoyed the breezy weather. read more

My wife had an itch for bagels so we decided to stop in at Toasted on Coral Way and Douglas Road. It's located in a shopping strip which has plenty of parking. It's a somewhat small place but I'm sure they do a lot of take out. The bagels were being made there fresh which was a nice touch. We ordered an everything bagel with los cream cheese, another everything bagel with cream cheese and a croissant. The croissant took a minute as they warmed it up. The bagels were good but heavily filled. I mean close to an exaggeration. My wife ended up scooping half of her cream cheese off. I only ate half my bagel because I was full after only eating half. We went to order a soda but when we saw it was only a dollar more for freshly squeezed OJ we decided to get the OJ. $4.25 for a soda seemed excessive. Overall it was a good bagel place. By looking at the menu some prices seem on the high end but the bagels are fresh and you definitely get a lot stuffed in your bagel. The potatoes were okay, I wish they were seasoned. It would've given them a bit more pizazz. I ordered my husband the Little Havana bagel. It had eggs, steak, onions and cheese. He truly enjoyed it! I ordered a cortadito and it didn't have any sugar, so if you like sugar in your cortadito make sure to ask for them to make it with sugar. I loved this little spot. There is a private lot to park in, which is super convenient because in the Gables there is rarely any street parking. As someone who has recently moved to Miami from the northeast, this has been one my favorite bagels I have had in Miami. I like getting the everything bagel, with jalapeños cream cheese, and smoked salmon. It is super delicious and just the right salty and spicy. They also have a good egg bagel sandwich. We've been coming here for at least 6 years and this was the most disappointing experience yet. The bagel sandwich I ordered with cheese was tepid in temp, the cold cheese wasn't melted except in the very middle. Sat outside because the AC was broken and was reading 85 degrees inside at 8:30am. The outside eating area is covered with cigarettes. An employee came out to smoke at the table next to us. There are no ash trays so this isn't a smoking area. The first time she came out she started a cigarette then walked back in and tossed it near us so it stayed lit and burning while we ate. Then she came out 1 min later to light again and sat next to us. There were 4 other tables farther away she could've sat at. No consideration. We were the only customers inside or outside so to choose to sit next to us to smoke TWICE is uncalled for. If you're charging $36 for 1 bagel and 2 coffees it would be nice to be able to eat in peace. To top it off, when the employee finished smoking she walked in (still on her phone) and went straight to the back to work without washing her hands. H&H Bagels might be further away but it's certainly cleaner with a more respectful service than Toasted. read more

The place was completely empty expect for the five employees hanging around with zero customers inside... that should've been Red Flag #1. Then came Red Flag #2.. the price! A $20 Miami-Style Reuben Pastrami Panini. When I asked how big it was, the cashier promised it'd be "over 12 inches long and the meat would be stacked thicker than an inch." So naturally I expected a girthy monster of a Panini for $20. What I actually got was half of a circular flatbread.. literally two quarters of it.. holding maybe at best two thin millimeters of pastrami, a lonely dab of sauerkraut and a faint smear of Thousand Island. The side pickle was old, soggy, and had already started to disintegrate... this ridiculous panini was just a sad origami of scraps from the kitchen. I felt horrible because I had already paid before seeing what I got. When I asked the girl who I had ordered from what had happened to the supposed "12-inch long.. at least an inch-thick of stacked pastrami" panini I was promised, she just shrugged and smirked... of course why would she care? For $20 this pitiful panini should've come with substance been an actual meal not a sad snack of sorrow. If you're ordering multiple types of bagels at the register you'll often spend an inordinate amount of time - up to a few minutes - working with the cashier to get your bagel order in correctly otherwise a half-dozen will become 8 or 9. Thankfully, I've never experienced a line or more than one or two people so this delay doesn't usually become awkward. Finally, the prices - particularly for the spreads - are very high. They're good but we've learned to pick some artisan spreads up at the grocery in lieu of theirs. read more

Lox schmear was this weird mixture with tiny chopped pieces of salmon about the size of bacon bit tiney croutons in a cream cheese that was flavorless but so sweet it tasted bad. Toasted...we come here often. The human has a thing for bagels. Yes, NYC bagels are some of his favorite, but just in case you haven't noticed we live in Miami and well we can't really travel now. So, Toasted it is. We found Toasted a few years back and continue to go as often as possible. We have been able to get friendly and in true comfort with the staff who are always a pleasure to speak with. Now, let me tell you what we recommend...the human takes his bagel plain, toasted and cut into 4 pieces with a side of turkey bacon. All though he doesn't eat lettuce he likes that they decorate his turkey bacon with lettuce. As for the adult human, well, I usually have the Tiger Tail sandwich with turkey sausage. Highly recommend it! Also, their cold coffee is delicious and very interesting. They ice cubes are coffee cubes so as it melts your coffee doesn't get watery. This is plain awesome. Yes, they are taking orders during COVID. They have outside seating, but I don't know if it is open. So, try the local business...these folks are locals and we need to support them!
