My boyfriend and I stopped by with no appointments and got seated right away. Prior, I read a lot of great reviews on Bryan from yelp, but he was busy. So I ended up with Jeannie. She was very sweet and got the job done. The ONLY thing I'm salty over is I expected to pay $20-25 because most reviewers on here and my family paid that amount, but she charged me $30+tip. For a very simple trim... NO bangs, NO layering. I guess blow drying my hair (i showered before i got here) and straightening my hair made it more expensive? Not too sure. Or maybe it's the fact that I, the Vietnamese American seem a little more entitled for having a white boyfriend? Orrr maybe I'm not charming enough for her to give me the better price. Lesson well learned. Ask for the price before they touch you! Lol. My boyfriend ended up getting his hair done by Phuong. Aaaand let me tell you, my boyfriend loves and is obsessed with his hair. Whenever he goes into a salon, he never knows what to say to his hairstylist. But Phuong knew what he was doing! He also made sure my boyfriend liked the length before SHAMPOOING + STYLING with product. ALL FOR $15 + tip!!? What a deal!! Typically $15 is an average price for a mens cut no shampoo included, but Phuong's service was too outstanding to not mention. I love my hair stylist but the owner and he runs this salon is VERY unprofessional! Salon is supposed to upen at 10am but every time I make my appointment. HORRIBLE Got a h/c with PHUOC on 07/14/21.. Rinse my hair super fast, quick and water run into my eyes and he not care. Seated at the station with hair from last/previous customers on the floor which is not right with CA Stateboard.. Showed pictures that style I want to get and he said ok ok ..yeah..yeah..Here that PHUOC has done to me : Cutting with very BAD ATTITUDES, DISRESPECTFUL and cutting hair less than 15mins and fast much he can go without taking time for fading at all.. Scalding me with clipper and friction on my skin scalp as fast speeding ... Ending with really short in the back with no style, front left forehead the Left side longer than right side. He has a great eye and hand to style the Asian hair! After my new year hair cut, I didn't need to wash my hair for about 3 days because my hair looked voluminous and beautiful. I have had my hair done by European and Korean hairstylists before but no one has treated my hair like Mr. Tuong Bryan! Price is very reasonable! First timer here: As soon as I walk in I was greeted by friendly stylists. Mind you I had a very late appointment since I got out of work late. Many places would be really upset and rush the process but my stylist waited for me despite the time and really put his all into coloring and cutting my hair. NEVER EVER AGAIN! So my mom talked me into trying this place out. Me, being the trusting daughter that I was, gladly agreed. I mean, how much could they possibly screw up right? WRONG! This is the list of things they did wrong right from the point when I walked into the salon: 1) NO ONE was there to greet us or seat us. We literally stood at the counter for a good ten minutes while the workers are just sitting around talking to each other. I should have walked out then...but I gave it a second chance. 2)Got seated and then they didn't even wash my hair. I mean for a $30 (plus $10 tip) haircut, you would assume they would at least wash your hair. 3)The guy who cut my hair spoke ZERO english. Fine. Whatever. I'll attempt to speak Vietnamese. The guy can't even speak Vietnamese loud enough for me to hear what the hell he was saying. God damn it....next time, I'll bring a translator or something. 4)The dude straighten my hair so much that I lost all volume in my hair for over a week! How the hell is that even possible?! On top of that, it's like they only have ONE god damn hair straightener! The two stylists had to share one straightener so it took an eternity just to straighten my already straighten hair. Pointless. 5)The guy took almost TWO HOURS to cut a simple side-layer-no-bang-v-shaped trim. I mean I'm not crazy! My haircuts usually only take about 30 minutes and it's usually just to cut off my split ends. I almost slept in my chair. WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK EVER AGAIN! read more

We had an appointment at 6:00 pm for Bryan on a Saturday. Got there a few minutes early so we sat at the chairs to wait. Checked in at the front desk at 6:00 pm since nobody said anything to us. Front desk person pointed us to Bryan who was at the first chair so he acknowledged us. We said we have an appointment and he said to wait a little bit so he can finish up hair extensions with his current client. After waiting for 20 minutes, he asked an assistant to wash my fiance's hair. The assistant finished with the wash and sat him in a chair next to the first chair where he waited and waited and waited. His hair dried and still waited! It's even more irritating because he keeps taking his sweet time showing crap on his phone to the client. No sense of urgency whatsoever.. What?!? Our time doesn't mean anything to you? It's a Saturday too! Everybody's got things to do on Saturdays! I am fully aware of crappy Vietnamese service but seriously!?! You gotta be kidding me right?? He finally had all the extensions on. I figure ok.. he's gonna start on my fiancé now.. nope.. he starts to blow dry her hair and then starts to straighten her hair! I had to approach him and ask how much longer cuz we have to go! He said he's done and that's when he called another assistant over to finish the straightening. Really? You didn't think about that? Because you think we just want to sit here and wait so we can run late to our event right? I am so done!! Did my fiance at least like his cut? He said he doesn't like it nor hate it. Will he come back? He says he doesn't know. He said that Bryan seems to be a nice guy.. Bryan did say thank you and bye when we walked out.. he does seem like a really nice guy considering how he responded to my irritation.. maybe I'm too critical??
