Unfortunately, most of the other times I visited, the staff seemed somewhat unfriendly. Yesterday, I brought both my daughter and my son in for haircuts. The salon did not seem very busy, so I asked if chị Hiền could cut my daughter's hair. She was busy, so I said anyone could take care of my kids. From the beginning, it felt like no one wanted to do children's haircuts. I'm not sure if it's because kids' haircuts are priced lower, but several stylists kept saying, "I have an appointment next" or "I'm busy." Eventually, one stylist agreed to cut my daughter's hair, and the front desk asked me to wait about 20 minutes for my son's haircut. I was perfectly happy to wait. However, the haircut itself was disappointing. Even my 8-year-old could tell it looked nothing like the reference photo we showed. He was just doing it the way he wanted despite I clearly told him what I wanted for my daughter's hair After waiting about 30 minutes while my daughter's haircut was being done, the front desk again asked if anyone could cut my son's hair. Once again, several stylists said they were busy or had customers. At that point I was frustrated and said, "That's okay, I don't need it anymore." What made it worse was that as I was leaving, I noticed a couple of stylists standing around without clients instead of helping with my son's haircut. I can honestly say that I've visited this salon three times, I tip generously, and I've never been picky. If you're considering this salon for children's haircuts, I would recommend looking elsewhere. In my experience, they do not seem to specialize in little boys' haircuts, and some of the staff are not particularly kid-friendly unless you already have a favorite stylist. Because of this experience, I don't think I'll be returning.

Since we went on a Friday afternoon, Kim was able to fit my mom in right away, briefly pausing on my style to apply her color. When the shade didn't hold after the first wash, Kim kindly reapplied it, and my mom was happy with the end result. As for stylist vibes: Thoa is quieter, while Kim is bubbly and very friendly. Kim was also super responsive when I asked for a firmer scalp scrub during my wash. We both loved our visit and are looking forward to returning in December for my birthday!

When I met for my first balayage appointment, I was bent on the trendy rose gold color for my hair, but Jazlie talked me out of it since she felt that a cooler tone (lavender rose) would be better for my hair long-term in case I didn't do a touch-up. I was worried about the purple in my hair, but boy, was she right. During our appointment, she was very personable and gave a lot of good tips for caring for my balayage (unfortunately, I didn't heed her advice the first time around). Her customer service is top-par, as she was willing to wait beyond work hours to touch up my hair another time two days or so before my wedding. It was a dark and stormy night, but she made my hair shine beautifully rose gold for my wedding day! I ended up getting a lot of compliments on my hair color, hair styling (done by her skilled friend), and makeup for my big day. I've attached two photos of her work on my second balayage treatment and wedding hair two days later. I had requested for a specific type of curls that would blend in together and also a volumized side swept curl. The curls didn't turn out as I expected, I felt like I could've done a better job. My hair ended up not lasting long and needed to be fixed by myself through the day. The most disappointing part of this was I felt super overcharged. She asked me for $100 to curl my hair. This does not even include a wash and blow dry. This was pretty crazy considering another place has once charged me $45 for the SAME hairstyle.

That caught me off guard because I was already planning to leave a cash tip. I usually tip in cash because I prefer giving it directly to the person who provided the service. Being asked that way made me feel uncomfortable and pressured before I had even completed the transaction. I don't mind tipping at all, but I think there's a more respectful way to ask, such as whether I'd like to add a tip to the Zelle or if I was tipping another way.
