This was our third visit to the new location in Ocala; they've moved from Belleview. We had Sunday breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the 2-2-2, with special hotcakes - cinnamon roll, along with two eggs and 2 sausage patties. These hotcakes were gigantic and so delicious. They were exactly like a big cinnamon roll on my plate! I took about 2/3 of my hotcakes home to enjoy later. This is a cute, homey place with a pleasant, efficient staff. Found this place on the iExit app, and if you travel and don't have it go download it now! Waze took us to their old location, but we finally found the new place using google maps. Lots of locals when we walked in. They have a great menu, both breakfast and lunch. Started off with fried green tomatoes which were perfect! I ordered the BLT which was HUGE. Crispy bacon, fresh home-grown tomatoes and crispy French fries, along with their house made macaroni salad which was delicious! My boyfriend opted for breakfast and he said it was delicious! Todd & Shelly's need to change venue type from farm market to restaurant, although on further consideration, keeping it as it is will mean fewer people find them when searching restaurants, and won't be in my way the next time I go. Went at lunchtime on Saturday. Parking lot full, but we found a space easily. Walked in and told to sit anywhere: we chose indoors as there was a lot of traffic on 441/27/301 and the porch was feet from the highway. Waitresses were polite and friendly. Menu was quite extensive. Decor was cluttered but tasteful. Selected a salad and club sandwich for meals which arrived from kitchen quickly. Apparently if your ordering from their breakfast menu, it can take a bit longer to be delivered as they take longer to prepare. The turkey club was a great size, and the amount of bread was not overwhelming. For a side, we chose the soup of the day- chicken rice. Lots of chicken pieces. Salad was large, with all the toppings to it I could have done without greens. The chicken was a bit disappointing for me - institutional pressed chicken meat. Bland and wet. But the quantity was there. Looking at the hotcakes and other breakfast items going to other diners, we'll be back to try those dishes some day soon. read more

Had a really good pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Went there twice in a row. We had a major problem though with seating! Asked for booth seating so that we could be more comfortable. They did not seat us the server with brown hair did not allow us to then sat 2 people right after we were seated in booth seating. Just huge fyi to the female rude server/ management with brown hair some people have back issues and need a little more support for seating. Quite rude the whole time. read more

Food was ok but not really good... if you want really good go to the Biscuit Barn in Crystal River. We got the unlimited hot cakes & unlimited biscuits and gravy... The service at this place is atrocious! We were there six months ago and, though, the food was good we waited SO long sitting at the table waiting for someone to take our order. We avoided this place since then but decided to give it another try since the food was good. Unfortunately we had the same experience today! The waitress brought our drinks and we asked her to take our order. She said she just needed to tell her trainee to take the next table's drink order. 8 minutes later after she went back and forth to the kitchen three times, she managed to come back to take our order. The lady seating people is also cashing people out (in a different location) and running in and out of the kitchen. This place needs some serious reorganizing of the staff. read more

We were really hoping for a charming, fresh café experience especially with the reviews on here, but unfortunately, Todd and Shelly's Farm Fresh missed the mark. We stood at the front for nearly 10 minutes with no staff in sight before someone finally seated us. For two adults and one toddler, our bill came out to a jaw dropping $80 - and that didn't even include anything special. The food itself was incredibly underwhelming. My toddler, who usually loves French fries, spit them out. My husband gave one a try and did the same.. they tasted awful, like old oil or freezer-burned crinkle cuts. The waffles had no flavor whatsoever, and the chicken on the chicken and waffles dish looked and tasted like frozen Tyson chicken straight from a bag. We just got back from New Smyrna Beach, where we ate out for breakfast every day at various adorable cafes, and not once did we pay more than $60 - and that included cocktails and far better food. Nothing here tasted fresh or made with care. Honestly, I told my husband as we were leaving that we would've been better off grabbing McDonald's. This isn't a mean spirited review, it's just honest. If you're going to charge nearly $100 for a mediocre breakfast for a small family, the food needs to reflect that. Sadly, it didn't. - also a glass i was drinking out of had a giant chip out of it which had left it sharp and jagged and i almost cut my mouth so that was also not great. :( read more

I don't believe this place has enough staff. I had heard good things about this new restaurant so we thought we would try it for lunch. It was about 12:30 on a weekday when we walked in. There were a few people waiting, many empty tables and maybe 3 people waiting tables. Finally we were sat, but after about 15 minutes no one ever came to take our order. I got the feeling that this was going to be a long wait so we left. Several folks were waiting and asked me if the wait was an issue and I said yes and they left too. A detour off the interstate opted for lots of little stops! One was lunch at one of the more unconventional looking restaurants- as John said, we've seen this place before and knew it had to be good. Parking lot is busy, a hodgepodge building, indoor and screened porch seating available and plenty of options on the menu! I tried the BLT- but actually a BLFGT- Bacon, lettuce, fried green tomato sandwich on texas toast, which turned out to be far too much bread- so I ate the fried green tomatoes and bacon out of the sandwich and it was so good! The fries were perfect too and I opted for fruit- which turned out to be delicious honeybells (local oranges) and pineapple. John got the french dip on pressed cuban bread and he too found the bread so filling he only ate half his sandwich! We also snagged 2lbs of local honey- there are jars all over the restaurant! I was SO TEMPTED to try their apple pie, but I was so stuffed. Next time we need to detour, I hope we can stop for another meal, maybe breakfast!!! The place is very quaint and comfortable. The food was awesome. I had a wrap and it came with two sides that were delicious. I could only eat half of it. I brought it home and my husband loved it. This restaurant just moved from Belleview to Ocala so they could be open longer and have more space. Although they haven't finished decorating yet, the food was really good. I just keep trying different things as the menu selection is huge! Bottomless mimosas for $10 on the weekends! If you have not stopped in, YOU must try them out! This breakfast place maybe tucked into a corner in a shopping plaza, but make no mistake that their portions and food and staff are extraordinary! Our waitress was very sweet and quick to make sure we had everything we needed! Offered to take our picture (I'm here on vacation visiting family) even though she was running around and busy with other patrons. Cute little place with nice booth and table space. They sell some local honeys and jams (which to me is always cool to support local places). Very comfortable. But let me circle back to the food!!! Hands down the best breakfasts we've had. Today, my husband was craving a pineapple upside down pancake. I wish I would have taken a photo...but it still wouldn't do it justice. As I have said before, when we go out for a meal, it's all about the food for us. I couldnt care less about the service ( within reason), or the ambiance. Food was excellent! Service was poor, it was as if the server was in another world. She did not know the menu. Second, she was not able to answer questions, lastly she appeared unkept. Physical ambiance was nice. By far one of my favorite places ever!!! It is always busy but worth the wait. The pancakes are amazing, the bottomless mamosas go down smooth ;) which can be dangerous but they are amazing as well. Food took about 16 minutes to come out which is fine but the order was only eggs hash grits and toast. Eggs were ordered over medium. Eggs came out as what can only be described as sunny side up or at best over easy. 2 new eggs were delivered that were cooked maybe 10 seconds more than the previous and still very runny. Grits were clearly sitting around and clumpy. Hash was clearly out of a can you get at publix. Out of Lemon for water and out of watermelon. Service staff was nice though and the Christmas decorations were nice and ambience was nice. read more
