She's made a few mistakes that were a bit frustrating and cost some extra time. Not everyone is perfect though, and Dr. Quaroni is so fabulous, he's worth it. A few times while sitting in the waiting room, several patients have shared their stories of past experiences with other oral surgeons and discussed the vast improvements in their oral health once they found Dr. Quaroni. Whereas U.S. medical doctors seem to view patients as mere business customers more often, and don't bother to check up on them or treat them as equals, Dr. Quaroni is an exception to this decline of patient care and is, instead, exemplary in his care and treatment of his patients. I found Hill Country Oral Surgery on Yelp and Google and decided to give it a try. The office is clean and modern, with comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, and even a mini fridge stocked with water. The entire staff was amazing--from day one they made sure I had all the information I needed, and they were super helpful in checking in after the procedure to make sure I was doing well. Dr. Cavaretta really listened to my concerns, and because I was anxious, we chose to go the anesthesia route. Lizette and George (the day-of care team) were fantastic and made me feel completely at ease throughout. I was in and out quickly and am already anticipating a smooth recovery. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is--I'm definitely coming back here!

Their billing practices are shady, misleading, and, in my experience, downright fraudulent. After leaving 2 messages and finally speaking with someone I was told Dr. McFarling "doesn't do that". I said, she doesn't do follow ups?? The front office person I spoke to couldn't elaborate on what it is she couldn't do and refused to schedule a follow up for my child. Between the ER communication and this office I want to lose my mind. We were specifically told to see a pediatric OMFS, this one told the ER that we could follow up there in a week but then decided no which creates more chaos and stress during an already sensitive and stressful week. There is zero compassion, they were not helpful at all.

Dr Flint himself is a GEM. He's as smart as they get - did you know he went to FULL medical and dental schools (most go to an abbreviated med school after dental school)- but he's so friendly and down to earth! I usually hate IVs but Dr. Widner did it so well that I didn't even feel it. I was also nervous about the anesthesia because I'd never gone under any type of surgery before but it was a breeze and they explained everything well. All of the staff was very kind pre and post op, and the post-op surgical assistant even gave me a warmed blanket while I came off the anesthesia. She also explained all of the after care to me and my caregiver and answered all of our questions. The front office was great about scheduling my post-op appointment around my travel schedule. Unfortunately, our experience at this location was extremely disappointing…read more My partner is terrified of dental work and made that very clear. During his first extraction with Dr. Najy K. Zarroug, he was in significant pain and repeatedly asked for more anesthetic. At one point, the doctor told him, "I should have had you put to sleep for this." The experience was frightening and traumatic. About two hours later, the bleeding became severe and we had to return to the office for additional anesthetic and stitches. We left determined not to return. Unfortunately, our dentist recommended Dr. Andrea Quaroni for the remaining extractions. He was much kinder and more reassuring, and we chose sedation. However, less than two hours after getting home, the bleeding became severe again, with gauze becoming saturated within minutes. We ended up calling an after-hours dentist, who offered to see him that night and mentioned having dealt with other after-hours issues involving this clinic. We understand bleeding can happen after extractions, but after specifically explaining what happened the first time, we expected much more attention to preventing a repeat situation. The office is also extremely aggressive about payment and prepayment, which makes the experience even more frustrating. On that same topic of them wanting to be paid so badly I ask who pays for the pain and suffering as blood runs literally from my partners mouth 12 hours later, are they gonna pay for my gas if I have to drive 30 minutes in the middle of the night... After two difficult experiences, we are done with this location. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere, especially for anyone who is anxious about dental work. Avoid the 38th Street location.

In fact, I'd say that suffering with a tooth that was prone to getting food stuck in it was worth than having it removed. Dr. Voorhees has a terrific sense of humor and extremely skilled. He administered my IV and in minutes I was out and the next thing I knew I was being escorted to the recovery area. All I remember of the procedure is feeling a mild bit of discomfort and groaning a little after which there was a pause and I don't remember anything else. My only regret is not having Dr. Voorhees take these troublesome teeth out sooner. You will not be disappointed with the level of care.
