    Fantuan

Definitely recommend coming here and supporting the smaller shop, I prefer their fantuan over the ones at T&T next-door. This shop is in a small strip where there's ample parking and functions as a small grocery where there's other baked goods like egg tarts, buns, frozen sticky rice, and dumplings. I always grab soy milk when I'm here too. It tastes like the soy milk I had in Asia. The American grocery store's soy milk tastes different and is never the same.

Tucked away in a small plaza with a bit of parking. When coming inside, very much gives off small market vibe where you want to pop in, grab your food and drinks, and pop out. Greeted by friendly staff and was recommended a hot soy milk drink which was very delicious, silky, and warming the Fantuan was absolutely delicious with its mixtures of texture from the softness to the crunch and the that outer layer of pork floss to give it that added texture. It's definitely something you want to get fresh. I wish they served it on weekdays also. A craving I am constantly having now because this is the only place I personally know that has them.

I been here a few times now and it's a good place to go for some nostalgic food. There's a nice parking lot so you don't have to worry about parking. The place is pretty small as it's mainly take out so no seating. Service is good. The cashier is there to answer your questions and grab some of the food that you want. I had their buns before and it was ok. Definitely need more flavors or some sauce. The fan tuan was also good but need more flavors. It wasn't as sturdy as it fell apart pretty fast. I got their egg tarts this time and they are huge. It's not your typical egg tarts. The crust is a sugar crust but they made it deep so you get a good amount of egg custard on there. It's different but pretty good. Price is pretty reasonable as well.

I love this shop! I have only tried a little of their selection, but mostly everything I've tried I have liked. Soy milk: depending on the day I like both their hot and cold soy milk. Tastes fresh and much tastier than T&T soy milk Fan tuan: I like their rice texture, tasty filling, and I also think Tofu 101's fan tuan is much better than T&T's I don't always compare, but I just had to say that their stuff is so tasty! Can't recommend this shop enough for some Taiwanese goodies

Been wanting to try Tofu 101 for so long and finally got to. I got the purple rice roll, chive dumpling, and red bean bun. They were all quite good but didn't stand out as much as I thought it would. The donut in the rice roll was quite hard? Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be, but I was thinking it would be a little chewy. I didn't eat the red bean bun fresh, but it was still good after I wrapped in a wet paper towel and microwaved a few secs. The store itself is quite small, but they have good amount of options. Cashier when I went is good and friendly.

Tofu 101 is an OG asian grocer with amazing hot foods. My friend and I dropped by for some grab-n-go fan tuan and bao buns. The shop is dim and homey, with shelves and freezers of products. We came early and got our food quickly. The pan fried meat bun was so delicious and clearly hand-made. They tasted just like the ones my grandma used to make. The fan tuan was cheap and large, carbs in carbs sandwiched with some pork floss and pickled veg. I love that they use purple rice, it makes me feel healthier HAHAH. The you tiao inside was super crispy, which provides nice contrast with the soft, fluffy rice. My only nitpick was I wish there was a bit more pickled veg and pork floss, as it was a bit bland. Nonetheless, this was so comforting to eat. I definitely want to try their other hot food offerings and wash them down with their soy milk next time.

We came around 4 p.m. on a Thursday. They had a variety of food to go. This is not a dine-in restaurant--it's takeout only. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got some Zong Zi and Green Onion and Pork Pan-Fried Buns. Everything was delicious and made with quality, well-portioned ingredients. We'll definitely come back for more. Parking was easy since there was a lot.

Delicious! The braised pork bento was perfect in every category---the rice is soft and fresh, the chicken meatballs have a kick of ginger, the steamed veggies are flavorful, and the tea egg is boiled to perfection. This is my go-to when I'm craving this flavor where every section is delicious. The fried vermicelli is also delicious, with egg, mushroom, carrots, cabbage, and meat! Highly recommend stopping by to grab a lunch item to support a small local Asian business! (They also have fresh hot meat buns in cases in the back!)

I have been waiting to check this place out for a few months now but I have always visited Bellevue on a Sunday when they're closed! This time I came hungry and ready on a Saturday and there were so many options to choose from! They had both sweet and savory tofu pudding options as well as steamed buns in savory and sweet flavors like pork or red bean! I especially loved my rice roll which came with pork floss and purple rice! I think it's my new favorite place for rice rolls. Additionally they also have fluffy and fresh Chinese donuts ready to go! All in all the service was friendly and professional and this is a casual and quick place to grab a few to go items to start your day!

This little hole in the wall deli shop sells some tasty snacks that will make you keep on wanting to come back. They have a variety of snacks that are worth trying. We grab a few items including some of their pan fried buns, roasted nuts, purple rice roll, and soymilk. I think the purple rice roll is the most popular item here. It's like a Chinese donut wrapped up with Pork floss, pickled mustard, turnip, abs black/white rice. It is a good snack that you don't often see around town. The pan fried dumplings were also great.

Such a convenient and cute spot for Taiwanese food! This is a grab and go, so there are no seats which is just something to note. They have both fresh hot food, refrigerated items, and a variety of other options in the middle. I was craving a fan tuan and found this spot to have it, and they even use purple rice here! It was a great portion for the price, and the roll was stuffed with a fried chinese donut, pork floss, and some pickled veggies. Exactly what I needed. I also tried their marinated tea eggs which were also delicious! I'll need to be back for the braised pork rice bowl next time :)

My friend was a big fan of boba tea, and I missed Taiwanese street food badly, so we just decided to try out this place. We showed up right after they opened their door. I am a low tech person, but I found their ordering kiosk was easy to use. We ordered two meals, Taiwanese sausage bento and Beef noodle soup, that came with drinks. One interesting we noticed is that each meal selection came with different drink options. When we ordered Taiwanese sausage bento, there's an option to order a drink at a cheaper price, but no old fashioned black tea, so we ordered milk tea. However, when we ordered beef noodle soup, there's no milk tea option but old fashioned black tea. We thought all the add-on drink options were the same, but they weren't. We then got milk tea and black tea from the add on options since it's much cheaper. We also ordered blood rice cake and the braised combo. There were a few tables in the store. When we were there, not too many people were there, so we just picked up a table. The food came very quickly. During the lunch time, around noon to 1 pm, the entire place was packed. After that, most people just came to pick up something and left. The food was very delicious and was authentically Taiwanese food. The blood rice cake was southern Taiwanese style. I wish they also had northern style that would wrapped with peanut powder. The braised combo was very tasty. I guess it was cooked in the sauce for a long time. The beef noodle soup was really good, and they could add picked mustards for free. My friend and I had a lot to chat, so we stayed in the store until they closed. Nobody ever tried to kick us out simply because we had stayed too long. We had a good time there, enjoying the food and the drinks. I am sure that we will come again soon.

Lu rou fan bento - "Braised Pork Belly" (4/4) The portion size is generous and includes all the elements you'd expect from authentic Taiwanese lu rou fan, or braised pork rice. The fresh vegetables, including pickled radish and cabbage, are tasty and pair nicely with half an egg, tofu, and corn. The dish lacks some of the bold Taiwanese flair I was hoping for, but it's still a solid meal. Popcorn Chicken (4/4) Freshly made and served piping hot, the popcorn chicken has a nearly perfect batter with a light, tender crust. However, the chicken itself is slightly dry. Traditionally, this dish is served with fried basil and optional chili powder for extra spice, but neither was included. Iron Buddha Milk Tea (5/5) I ordered this with 50% sweetness, and it tasted amazing! It was slightly creamy, with a well-balanced milk-to-tea ratio, a wonderful aroma, and a subtle tea aftertaste. Milk tea can be quite pricey these days, so it was refreshing to find such a delicious one for only $5.25.
