I've been back again and this place still held up. I even got the $5 basic rolls expecting the small seaweed wrapped pieces most places give but instead these rolls were still huge and full of chunks of fish. The staff making the sushi is also super friendly. Clear winner for me.

Togo Sushi is one of the best values in the city. They are perfect for takeout and have an easy to use online ordering service. The best thing about it is the $5 sushi roll section which is just fish and rice, but tastes incredibly fresh and is a large quantity. The specialty rolls are much more expensive and not all that good as they lack cohesion. It is my go to takeout spot and the simpler rolls always hit.

I have been to this place once long time ago, i think it was 2018 or 2019, I can't remember. I was craving for sushi but at the same time, I didn't want to drive too far. I thought of this place, they do have order online for pick up or delivery. I chose pick up. I ordered food that I want. I was told that they will email to inform me that my food is ready. It should take about 20 to 30 minutes at least. I wait and the time had already pass and haven't got email. I was like they shouldn't take that too long. I decided to head there and see what's up. I told them that I was here for pick up and told my name. It was all ready. So my guess is that they had some delay to let me know that my food is ready. They were a little busy. It is better to go as if you haven't heard from a while. I am happy that I got my food and I really love them all.

I went to try the five dollar rolls to see if they were worth the good deal and they were!!. I got a spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and a regular tuna. They were all delicious and super high-quality with a ton of fish in each draw. They were cut a little bit smaller than a normal sushi. Roll would be, five pieces instead of eight, but the flavor was great, and the fish was super high-quality. I went through the drive through and had all three rolls in just over a minute. I'll be back for sure!

Stopped by this evening after spending the day at the zoo. Ordered a Cali roll sans roe for my kiddo and the HGR and a ginger salad for me. They were good. My kiddo asked for another roll but we were already back at my cousins. The service was quick. It is a drive thru after all. Total was $25.86

I forgot how great this place was. My dear friend who moved away, took me here years ago for the first time, and I loved it so much. I don't know why it took me so long to get back. The menu is super extensive. I don't think I've had a bad role here. I'm partial to the ones with raw tuna. Really my favorite thing about this place is the portion sizes. These aren't your run of the mill grocery store sushi rolls. These are hefty boys. I think I got three rolls for myself, and while I didn't regret it, I was really full at the end. I may be could've shared with my husband, but I didn't. The store is super simple, doesn't pretend to be more than it is. It has a very nice and convenient drive-through. The staff is really friendly. Can't wait to be back!

This is more of carry out review. The quality, the portion of meat to rice in the rolls, the sashimi cuts and nigiri are generous but most importantly the freshest and best cured sushi in Louisville area. I am almost confident that I tried most of the sushi spots in town, from the cheapest buffet to the steakhouse rolls, and this one stood to me. What I am saying is, trust me bro! Quick service and causal ambience that doesn't reflect the quality. If you haven't, you're missing out. As always, bon appetit!

Truly a hidden gem in Louisville, KY. Varied selection of sushi, generous portions, prices have risen with the times but is still an excellent value for the money. This place set the bar for what I judge all other sushi off of...it's THAT good. If you're a first timer and can't decide what to try, get the Happy Roll. It's heaven in your mouth. I might have been here a few times....

ToGo Sushi is right by my church and I've never given it much thought. I'm not the biggest sushi fan and as a drive-through place, I doubted the quality of the sushi. But now that I finally tried it, I wish I had come out sooner. I went with friends and got the Jack's roll, fried special roll, eel roll, and had some of my friend's rolls as well. The food was very good. It tasted good and the portion was much larger than most sushi places. My friend ordered the tiara roll and it was heaped with as much salmon on top as rice in the roll. Although I eat a lot, 3 of us were able to eat 5 rolls and be full and satisfied. Because I am not a huge sushi fan, I can't speak to the details of the quality of the food, but it tasted good to me. The environment is definitely geared for take out. There is a drive through and it seems that most people either go through there or order take out. However, there are a few tables on the inside and outside of your want to dine in as I did. The servers were also all very friendly and patient. Although it might initially appear strange or unassuming, ToGo Sushi is a good place for sushi, especially if you like bigger portion sizes.

    Kentucky roll

The best sushi I've had in Louisville! I got the Kentucky roll but I will try some of the more simple ones in the future because the quality is top notch and the portions are huge. 10/10

I won't be back--and I wouldn't recommend it…read more I ordered their best available Cabernet . The first glass was good, I understand this is not a wine bar so no complaints. The second was completely off--overripe, heavy blackberry notes, clearly oxidized and not the same quality wine. This is what happens when a bottle has been open too long. When I pointed it out, instead of addressing it professionally, the server repeatedly insisted it was from the same bottle and argued with me. That's not just poor service--that's dismissive and borderline insulting. I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I explicitly said I would pay for the glass and not drink it--which I did. I left the full glass on the table. At that point, the appropriate response would have been to move on. Instead, the argument continued. For context, I spent 22 years in the wine and spirits industry. I know the difference--but frankly, anyone could have smelled and tasted how off that wine was. I still paid and tipped 20%, but the issue isn't the charge--it's the way this was handled. Arguing with a customer instead of listening is unacceptable. Do better.

I've been going to Samurai for date nights and friend dinners for years and every roll is huge and fresh, and I always have great service. Good sushi is hard to find in land locked Kentucky! Samurai must have great sources for their fish because the freshness is very apparent, every time I go. Favorite rolls: Mark's Roll, Happy Sunday, Texas Roll, Barbie's Favorite, Sakura Roll, and Midnight Roll but truthfully, you cannot go wrong. We heard the story of our favorite roll! The Mark's roll was named after a very kind soul that was a friend of the restaurant that sadly passed away. He loved spicy food and was the light of the room, so the fried jalalpeno and flaming plate make the perfect homage to him. The love and care Samurai has for their customers and the community is unmatched! Come cute with 15 people, or in your pajamas with your bestie. The atmosphere is very welcoming; casual but romantic still. Either way come ready to EAT!

I went with my partner and ordered the Miso Soup, Rainbow Roll (replaced shrimp with yellow tail) and a Vegetable Fried Rice. Listen. The fried rice is absolutely where it's at. You wanna talk savory? This is it. Flavor? Yes, it's all here. Quantity? Surely something that tastes so comforting and warm would be scarce. NOPE! They LOAD your plate with fried rice, it's like a compact mountain of deliciousness whose savory goodness pairs extremely well with the mellow, soothing flavor of their Miso Soup. Their Rainbow Roll was also very good, especially with the portion size. It has a fresh taste where it lets you know it was made the moment before it got to your table. I replaced the shrimp only because my partner is allergic to crawfish and I wanted her to try some, but I've had it with shrimp before and recommend you have it with it. I focused a lot on the comfortable vibes here because I think that's what Osaka excels at. Eating here is like going to visit your mom after a while and she makes you your favorite dish just how you remember it. Maybe you've had a better tasting version of it somewhere else, but this is MOM's cooking. Its flavors are great, the portion size is great, and it's made with love and care; with you in mind. For a modest price you get bang for your buck here, absolutely come give this place a try if you're in the area.

Also he was very attentive and made sure everything we ordered we got! Very sweet man. Now on to the food! I'll be honest, I don't eat sushi or seafood so I wound up ordering the chicken hibachi. The portion was huge for $16.99! I feel like it came out pretty quick and I wasn't a fan of the yum yum sauce..it was a bit sweet and didn't taste like the normal sauce I am use to back home. The space was overall nice and it seems as though it could get pretty loud when you're already a large group sitting with a large group of people. I also noticed a lot of gnats flying, this is something that is common at restaurants obviously. But it became a bit annoying when one landed on my lip as I was talking and started flying over my food. I lost my appetite after that and decided to box my food up. Overall, the service is what made me give this place 5 stars! It seems like they have pretty good sushi from what my friends were saying but I wouldn't come for anything else.
