This place has excellent reviews, and it's been on my hit list for a while. We were finally in the area, no longer pregnant and craving sushi, and decided to give it a try. We ordered the spicy shrimp ramen, the poison spider roll, nimo roll, and salmon killer roll. The sushi was pretty good! I especially liked the nimo roll. They have an expansive sushi selection and it was difficult narrowing it down. The ramen on the other hand was extremely disappointing. It tasted like a 99 cent ramen package with three medium sized shrimp haphazardly thrown in there. For $14 that is crazy. The locale is easy to find and accessible, with plenty of parking. The interior has a nice moody vibe to it that I appreciated, with menu items decoratively written on the walls. The staff was absolutely lovely. I was babysitting my niece and asked her what she wanted for dinner. We talked through a few things before she said hibachi. We love going to a hibachi grill! Asiana is a bit different than other hibachi grills I have been to. It's unique and fun. Their actual hibachi grill area is smaller than I thought it would be but it was perfect for this restaurant setting. They had tables all over and they still cooked your food on this hibachi grill regardless of where you sat. My niece and I were the only ones sitting at a hibachi grill when we first got there, so we got to watch our chef make not just our food but the food for others who were sitting in the restaurant and also to go/delivery orders. The only slight disappointment was that our chef didn't do much of a "show" like we normally experience - especially with my niece sitting with me. It's ok though, we still enjoyed it. I had the filet hibachi and my niece had the kids shrimp hibachi (this kid can eat her weight in shrimp). Onions don't agree with my belly so I asked for no onions in the rice and veggies. They were very wonderful to accommodate. We got our rice, then our protein, and then our veggies on our plate. The kids hibachi comes with a choice of soup or salad while the adult one comes with both. My niece got the salad and our salads and my soup came out before chef started cooking. It was delicious - I love the ginger dressing! After all of our food was plated, I had to wait before I was able to ask for some yum yum sauce. They just handed me the entire bottle instead of portioning it out, which was fine by me. Overall, we had a great visit. It was still $50+ (after tip) for my niece and I, but we had a great evening together. She gave it a 10 out of 10 and double thumbs up. read more

Asiana sushi is a sushi and hibachi establishment located in the fern creek neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky tucked away in a hidden corner of a shopping center off bardstown road. Me and my family live in the fern creek area and we had no idea this place existed or when it arrived. We happened to be at qdoba in the same shopping center one day and I looked up and said "has there always been a sushi place here?" So I added this place my to do list because my wife and oldest love sushi. We also love hibachi grills which to our surprise this place also has. My wife and I took my oldest here the other day and upon walking in seen a small hibachi table with a man working it so when the hostess asked booth or hibachi we chose hibachi. Now this is A very small place so it only has one table. But when we walked in only one family was there so we got a hibachi spot. There menu is actually rather large with all kinds of sushi rolls options and food options to pair with the hibachi. Pricing here is really good. Sushi rolls price on par with other local spots but the hibachi grill is i'd say $5-$10 cheaper a person then other places. We got two sushi rolls (kiss me roll and spicy crunch roll) and we all 3 got a chicken hibachi meal. The sushi rolls came out first while the cook was working his magic and the usual hibachi tricks. The rolls Both were really good. I'm usually a fried sushi roll fan so the spicy crunch roll was mainly for me and kiss me roll for the the girls. However I actually liked the kiss me roll better. So that was a nice surprise. The chicken hibachi came with all the normal hibachi favorites. Broth, salad, veggies and rice. Chicken had A very good taste as did the rest of the items. For being $5-$10 cheaper they didn't cheat you on flavor. Very good. Overall we had a great time. A nice small hidden gem near our house Where we can get a cheaper hibachi experience along with some good sushi roll options is going to make this place a regular stop for our family. This is our FAVORITE sushi place! The food is so good! The staff is WONDERFUL. We stopped going anywhere else a long time ago.

I want to like this place so bad but every time I go something is just bad. I've ordered takeout and have dined in 3 times. The times I've dined in had been in the lunch hours and we always got sashimi and it's always been still slightly frozen so it's crunchy. We mentioned it once to our waiter and got complimentary sashimi but it was also frozen so no flavor and just crunch. We have tried a lot of different sushi roles and they are decent nothing to die for. Service is good my cup was always refilled. I just won't be going back because I'm tired of paying for half frozen fish. read more

They have secret menu: tang-su-yook, jja-jang-myun, and jjam-bbong. These are Korean foods that you can't really find in the area and they make them REALLY WELL. You have to call the restaurant and make a reservation at least an hour before because they are secret menu. read more

My son and I stopped in recently for an impromptu dinner together. We have other really popular sushi restaurants in the area that sometimes can have lengthy waits for seating, so it was pleasant that we were able to get a table right away. (We did, however, beat the rush so this was more luck than anything.) We tried a variety of things - shrimp tempura, gyoza, fried rice, sushi. The sushi selections can be a bit cumbersome and eventually things start sounding the same. I chose two rolls and my son chose one and we shared a little of everything. Popped in one day for lunch, and WOW! I didn't order sushi, rather the filet hibachi. It was packed with flavor. Better than most hibachi restaurants I've been to. For Asiana Sushi, a five-star rating simply isn't enough. I've tried all the sushi places I can find in the Fern Creek Area (only three so far LOL) and Asiana is by far the best one. The categories where Asiana surpasses both Sake Blue and Misawa sushi: the food is consistently fresh and delicious (I haven't had anything I disliked there so far), there is no wait, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. I visited this restaurant several times before when it was Kailana sushi (it was also good then!) and the menu hasn't changed too drastically. They still have a mixture of Korean, American Chinese, and Japanese food, which I really like. Upon my initial visit to Asiana Sushi, my friend and I ordered the crab Rangoon and the fried dumplings. I kid you not when I say these are the best crab Rangoons I've ever had- and I've had a lot of crab Rangoons in my lifetime! It's been a few weeks and I'm still thinking about them! The dumplings were also delicious. Both were served with sauces. For sushi, we got the Mango Sunrise, Crunch Shrimp, Spicy Hawaiian, and the Let Me Blow Your Mind roll. Let me just say...WOW. All of them were AMAZING. Ironically, the one I liked the least was the Let Me Blow Your Mind Roll, but it was still pretty good. By the way, you can view their full menu on their website! My first experience at this location was a few years ago, and tbh I'm not sure it was Asiana Sushi back then. It was the same inside, and the sushi wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special in a couple of lunch visits - since it's close to work. Then comes a busy Thursday night. I had a mad craving for some sushi, and I mean you gotta get a lot right!? There's plenty of go to places that are a little more pricey, and Asiana was right next to a school activity for one of the kids, so I figured we'd check it out for dinner (takeout). The website was great, and the sushi menu was extensive! It really has something for everyone - Cut rolls range from simple & low priced to epic! Baked rolls & deep fried rolls tend to be my thing, and excellent options at various price ranges here. I was completely blown away by this sushi menu, which is probably why I'm not sure it's the same place I had lunch at in 2018! Ok so I ordered the crunch munch (x 2), Hurricane (salmon, crab mix, shrimp, cream cheese - deep fried - wife's favorite!), Big Bang (spicy crab, shrimp tempura, cream cheese - deep fried - MY favorite!!), and Philadelphia. The crunch munch had just a touch of spice which I loved and was a really good portion size (my wife hates anything spicy and said it was a bit too much heat for her). The Philadelphia was really good considering it's a simple, no frills traditional roll. Overall bill was I think $52 including tax before tip. So yeah, I was totally surprised with this find and given the value, great flavors, good portion sizes, big variety menu, and convenient location - this will definitely become a go-to sushi spot for me! read more

Found this little gem in Fern Creek. It's small inside but they have really made the most of the space inside. We sat at the hibachi for the full experience! Loved the "show" and the food did not disappoint. We ordered 3 chicken hibachis, a California roll for our daughter and the Fire on Fire roll (it looked cool and has steak). The roll was spectacular when it arrived to our table flaming on fire. The rolls were both great and the hibachi chicken was some of the best we've had. Chicken was heavy on teriyaki sauce but the taste was great. The portion size was reasonable for what you get. We will definitely come back and are excited to have a great sushi and hibachi place so close to home! read more

I'm happy to report that a new restaurant has opened in the former location of one of my favorite local sushi spots. The menu is similar but they've added a nice assortment of ramen, which is something I've been hoping to see for quite a while. I don't think they have a full liquor license but beer is available. We settled for water and dug in with some crab Rangoon. It's served with a tangy chili sauce. I liked that the filling was not as sweet as some places make it. I wish they would add shumai to the menu, so perhaps I'll suggest it next time. We ordered a couple of rolls, the Casanova and my favorite Poison Spider Roll, and I went for the gyoza ramen. The Casanova had a spicy kick and generous pieces of salmon, sliced to perfection. The Poison Spider was crispy and filled with crunchy fried soft shell crab. The ramen was my favorite, I must say. The bowl is filled with 5-6 gyoza, half a soft boiled egg and lots of happy noodles, all in a well seasoned broth. I loved it. In these times I must say I'm happy to welcome a new restaurant to the neighborhood and even happier that it's offering great food that I can't wait to enjoy again soon! read more
